That's really cool, I love it. Such a simple build but it works so well. Is it pretty sturdy or have some movement to it? Also, what did you use for the mat to get that sound?

That is AMAZING!!
A couple minor criticisms if you don't mind. I don't care for the zip ties and how the ring skirt goes in front of the posts like that. Nothing major but you did such a great job on everything else it makes these they things stick out to me.

The frame only moves if you apply force and were actively trying to break it. The mat is a mixture of craft wood from hobby lobby on top of the metal frame and some light foam to provide padding for the bumps. I'm still a nerd and play with my figures so I try to keep from scratching them.

And the skirt is more so working with what I had laying around. I'm glad you like it more than you hate it too. It's meant to be an old school ring, thus the plain steel ring posts.

I'm not sure if you have anything that can drill into metal but if you do, you could drill small holes and screw in not of those hooks that you have in the turnbuckles and connect then that way. If not, then some metallic paint would go a long way in covering those zip ties up. And some long strips of velcro would attach the ring skirts without needing to have the posts keeping them up. It would make swapping them out much easier if you ever want to change up the design.

I wanted to replicate the actual rings I've set up and wrestled in over the years, but I just couldn't muster the nerve to finish. Depression makes even the most fun things tough to do.

I've dealt with depression pretty much my entire life. I cannot recommend therapy and medication highly enough. I fought it for years. I thought I'd rather be naturally sad than artificially happy but that's not how it works. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain, medicating that it's no different than putting a cast on a broken bone. Plus you've got a really good support group here. Don't ever hesitate to reach out if you're going through a rough time. But if you ever fix up your ring make sure to post some new pics. I'd love to see the finish product.
