I’d love a WCT WWE ‘86 belt.

It seems to have to do with Mattel (and Jakks before them) not wanting to pay the usage fee to the owner of the artwork (probably Reggie Parks if not Dave Millican). Note that the belts are used in WWE video games so we know that it isn’t just someone being stingy with the rights.

Any info as to when they will be available to purchase? I want to see what the die-cast belts look like on figures. When someone buys the adult replica, they should compare it to the Jakks one.

I really wish we would hear some info on these! Release date, price, etc. Looking on WCT's website. It says that their current stuff is only sold at Kmart and Ringside. Hope that is not the future case for these.
The Toyfair pics from some websites also show they are coming out with cardboard audiences and entrance ways in scale with figures.

Mattelfreak is correct Mattel would have to reach out to get the rights themselves; but their contract with wwe doesn’t allow that anymore...or something

And wouldn’t WWE preventing Mattel from reaching out to others contradict the theory that the belt makers were refusing the rights? Bill touched upon this recently and made it sounds as if more WCW belts were on the way...so I really think it is just a rights issue between Mattel and the makers.

Never said the makers refused the rights. Bill mentioned before that in the beginning they were able to reach out to get their own licensing, but that changed due to prices and wwe. He has made it clear, wwe gives them what is available to be made and that he can request certain belts or stars to be made available. wwe must have agreements in order that will allow the production of new belts. The video games can never me used as a reference, as Mattel as said that dozens of times. They are their own entity and reach out to get the rights of old wrestlers and belts. Also, a video game image is much different to mass produce miniature replicas

Mattelfreak said they refused the rights. You said Mattelfreak was correct. So yes, you did very much say that.
And the video games can be used as a reference in this instance that the belt makers are willing to sell the rights to the belts (even if in digital format).

I didn’t mean the full post of his, so let’s not nit pick. Bill has said don’t hold the games as any reference for what can be made in figure form. Using the likeness in a game is completely different than making thousands of mini replicas.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the WWE now sells $5,000 Elite Authentic TV Series Championship Title Belts.

*Tells others not to nitpick then proceeds to nitpick* Ok buddy. Go ahead and ignore the facts. Try quoting me next time so I can actually reply next time, guy. The only one ignoring facts is you. We have been told straight from the source about this several times. Idk why so many of you fail to remember, believe or comprehend it
