It was a joking rant, but my point is the Team Dissapoints whether it be getting Eliminated by the Devils 2 years in a row or that Year against the Hurricanes where they DEFINITLEY should have won the Eastern Conference. Now they don't even make the playoffs

That goal by Selanne in OT was sexy. Yes sir, I was expecting Detroit to hang on to their 1-0 lead.. great move pulling Giggy late in the 3rd on the PP. Selanne and the Ducks needed that bounce in OT.

Sad story.
I know that I might sound like a dick, but he can't do anything to save Ottawa once we get our hands on them.

The Ducks win...ugh. The end of that game was so heart-racing and fun to watch. I was really pulling for the Wings to win it. I just had a feeling that 4th goal Hasek let in would come back to bite them in the ass, though. I wonder what the Wings will do about their goaltender situation next year, though. They clearly are a team who can win right now, so I can see them bringing Hasek back for another year while they continue to groom his successor in their system. I just do not want to see the Ducks win a Stanley Cup, mainly because I'm pretty sure no one in Anahiem knew they had a hockey team up until a month ago. I don't want to see the Cup won by cities like ing Carolina, Tampa, Anahiem, etc. The Cup belongs in either of the Orignal 6 cities or anywhere in Canada. I want Ottawa to win...an Ottawa/ Wings cup would have been so great for old school hockey fans, too.

Hahah. Ottawa is going to manhandle Anaheim. Tell that to the people who thought Buffalo was going to manhandle Ottawa. Thats why they actually play the games... Anaheim has a fantastic team, especially on the defensive end.

I'm proud of the Wings this season. For a team that was supposed to be rebuilding, they exceeded expectations. Anaheim has been a favorite all year long, but I just don't see them being able to get past Ottawa and I hope that they don't. Chris Pronger doesn't deserve his name on the Stanley Cup for a variety of reasons. Detroit was the better team but Anaheim still managed to find a way to get the win, capatalizing on little mistakes. If this is the last time we've seen Hasek play, then I truly think he put up a wonderful performance, even if he may have looked a bit shaky. If he comes back next year, I'll welcome him with open arms. If not, then either Free Agency may provide a stop gap untill Jimmy Howard can come up or Osgood can split time with either Howard or Liv. I'm proud of my team and I'm proud of this post season. Like I said, Detroit getting this far in the playoffs was just as good as them winning the Stanley Cup in my eyes. As long as Anaheim doesn't win the cup, I'll be a happy man.
