This seems like it has potential to be really good. It’s inspired by the classic arcade games Wrestlefest and Superstars. Road Warriors are signed and they’re going after legends not signed with WWE and current indie stars. Shooting to be on PC, Switch, Xbox One, and PS4. Should be out late 2019 or early 2020.

Tommy Dreamer and House of Hardcore arena have been added to the game. Austin Idol also added to the roster.

I've been following their progress closely across social media, and am super-stoked. This is gonna be a Day One PS4 purchase for me!

They’re officially licensed by Technos and now recognized as the sequel to Wrestlefest. They’re also gonna try to have some Mat Mania wrestlers and arena in the game.

I had some hopes for this game with the Road Warriors being plastered over it, but as someone who never cared about the BWO, Johnny Nitro or Tommy Dreamer... Considering the rest of the roster is made up of people I've literally never heard of it's kinda soured me.

The fact that they are making this and so many people are excited about is super cool, but it is just not for me. The reason I loved Wrestle Fest is because it was a WWF game and captured the WWF better at that time period than anything we got to play at home. Had it just been a generic wrestling game with made-up wrestlers, Wrestle Fest would have been a super shallow game, fun? yes but it would not have held the same amount of nostalgic love for me as it does with the WWF. The Road Warriors are awesome, but there is literally not one other character in this game I am interested in I wish the team all the best with it as they sure do have a lot of passion, but I just do not think it is for me.

Holy Christ on a tricycle, I will swallow my own tongue whole if we get Mat Mania characters as DLC.

I'm disappointed in the roster here (like others, I don't have any attachment to these wrestlers and mostly I don't even know their special moves), but still excited for the game. I'm not sure who else is left from the nineties that doesn't have all their rights assigned to WWE. Scott Steiner? Rick Steiner? Are guys like Bret Hart on exclusive video game deals with WWE/2K?

Steiners would have been great ones for the sake of the LOD honestly. They are supposedly adding more characters in the future if it does well so I may still support it. Especially as I haven't bought a new wrestling game since 2K17.

I care more about gameplay than the roster. If feels like Wrestlefest then I’ll be happy. The roster is fine considering this is a very small indie studio making their first game. LOD signing early on was a huge get. I’m impressed that they were able get the NWA and HoH licenses. Looking forward to them adding Mat Mania characters along with legends and indie stars they already have. A great CAW tool is something I think they will need to eventually add.

The thing I noticed about the Mat Mania characters when they announced the collaboration is that they only announced two (Dynamite Tommy and the Insane Warrior) and said they may be DLC down the road. Hopefully we get the whole Mat Mania roster in this game because it'd be a neat way to preserve that bit of wrestling video game history.

Not having a licensed roster or a decent major console port diminished its legacy. It is on PS4 so I would highly recommend to anyone to get it. It’s well worth the $8.

I hate to admit it... but Mat Mania was one of the main reasons I bought a PS4 in the first place. I played the crap out of it in arcades when I was a kid, and was excited to see it on the Arcade Archives list.
That being said, I HATE Coco Savage!!! This dude is the hardest, cheapest guy in the game (and he's not even the final guy you face in the lineup!)!
