I moved this from the game forum, because I want anyone who'd be interested in roasting me and having a WF game night to participate. Whole gang. Only need a computer, phone, or tablet so it can apply to anyone!
Waddup guys. I may make this an announcement if it gets enough desire. I know Chip King Richius and Cameron Stone all said they were interested in playing, schedule permitted.
For those of you who don't know, I'm an affiliate streamer on Twitch. Name on there is Sthomde. Aside from my day job, that's my pocket cash and more importantly, my favorite hobby. But I'd like to give back to WF in a fun way for all considering all it's given me. And I'd like to stream a game night on Twitch of WF members (and anyone who happens to come in, all are welcome) with the games being one of the many Jackbox Party Packs. For those who don't know what that is or how this would work, I'll give details.
First thing's first. You do NOT need to also own the game. As long as I own it, you all can play. As for how to play, there's a billion different games in the party packs. The most popular is something called Quiplash. For anyone who's played Cards Against Humanity, Quiplash is the PG-13/sometimes R rated version of that.
Using Quiplash as an example again, if you're playing you'll be given a series of prompts to fill out an answer to, and you have to make them as funny as possible. Then all the players vote in the funniest, and the funniest by vote more points. If someone gets EVERY vote, the losing person the player was up against gets a Quiplash which COSTS the person they're up again points. No one knows who's posted what prompt until AFTER the voting, to keep it fair, and when your prompt is up you can't vote (obviously). It's three rounds, most points after three rounds wins.
There's a million other games too in the pack, but I've a feeling knowing everyone in this site, that's the game that'd be requested the most.
Now, how do you play? As the host of the game I get an automatic entry into the game because it allows me to censor troll/way too inappropriate answers (not like someone saying "Shawn/Negan's a fat ass" as an answer, but rather racial or ethnic slurs, because those violate both WF and Twitch's code if conduct and naturally shouldn't be used or tolerated). The other seven spots in each game are first come first serve. You'll go to the Jackbox website on the device of your choosing (I use my cell phone personally), enter your screen name (doesn't have to be your WF name, but that'd be nice so I can know who's playing) and I'll post a code. First seven to enter the code get to play. Anyone who enters after is in the audience, but the audience also gets a vote in EVERYTHING. They just don't pick prompts responses.
That's the gist of it. Google the party packs if you want to see the millions of types of games they offer, and we can all decide what'd best to play (I'm still assuming Quiplash will be the dominant choice).
It's free for y'all to play. You just have to have a Twitch account (free), to be in the stream when we play, and have a computer, tablet, or cell phone in order to be able to be part of the game. And if you don't want to play and just want to watch and chat and shoot the crap with me and other members who play: that's great too.
Any questions, I'll answer. Ask away here.
But for now my question to you all is, would you guys like to have a WF Game Night with yours truly as host and gave some good hearted fun? I encourage you to harass me with answers if you get the chance once in a while. Answers can be inappropriate to be funnier, but not over the line (like I mentioned earlier).
And, if you're in to play, what are some days of the week and times of days would you want all want to play? It's majority rules on that. I'll cater a date and time as best I can to get as many people in, but given we have members all over the world, time zones can be tricky, especially for our European, Filipino, and Australian members in particular (those are the three regions not in America/Canada where I know we have the most members from). I'll work it out somehow. When you give me times that'd be good on days you pick, please use EST as your base time.
So what ya think? Y'all wanna play? Think it could be a fun night. Maybe a Wednesday after NXT, or one of the nights there isn't wrestling.
Let's hear it!
