I think the reason the likes of AJ Styles and Samoa Joe became such big names from scratch was that they had a plethora of well established ex-WWF/WCW/ECW stars to get them over. The problem with the roster at the moment, I feel there is a lack of talent to help the up and comers do this. They are also performing in some of the smallest venues that they have ever performed in. I'm really sorry - but Bound for Glory was very sad to see in that small venue. Their viewership is also continuing to decline and I think they will at somepoint get the boot off of Pop.
They really need some big names coming in and need to try and get the bigger venues - though I'm not sure how they're going to do this.

they’ve been putting on excellent shows considering what they’re working with imo.
if anyone considers them anything more than an indie company with some slight corporate backing than I’d say they’re deceiving themselves.
a relationship deal with other promotions could help, if roh and impact agreed to work cohesively and just run their areas territorially since impact is so Canadian centred now.
it’s worlds better than it was a few years ago.

Not saying it is right or wrong. I'm just pointing out the irony that after years of complaining about TNA constantly bringing in vets and castaways from the other companies, the problem now is a lack of those same talents...

The one thing I can say about Impact now, is that at least for the Bound For Glory PPV, it had an ECW vibe to it. The small venue, the cursing, the violence in some matches. If Impact just stays how they are, they will succeed. If they try to compete with anyone else?? They will fail.

I have beliefs that if POP drop Impact - it might become a WWE Network exclusive.

I have beliefs that if POP drop Impact - it might become a WWE Network exclusive. Why would WWE do that? They already have 205 Live, NXT USA and NXT UK to produce that's essentially only watched by IWC smarks; they're not going to spend a fortune on getting a failing wrestling show to keep going when they could just buy the library and start producing sick AJ, Joe, Kurt, Sting, Roode, Young, Booker, Dudley Boys, Hardy Boys, McIntyre, Lashley, Woods, EC3, Mickie, R-Truth, Kendrick & TJP career retrospective DVDs that cover everything they did away from WWE?

I thought don callus may have been able to use his njpw ties to get some of that shine for impact - and he clearly has helped in a lot of the talent they’ve brought in and the company’s direction - but with his work with njpw commentating seemingly coming to an end those ties may end.

To be honest I think Impact has been utter Chocolate Shark recently. With the exception of a couple angles/storylines it fails to interest me. I'd have more fun watching paint dry at times!

It's way too late for Impact Wrestling now. I wish them every success as an Indy promotion, but any aspirations of being a big player is beyond delusion at this point.

I think Anthem will feel like it's not generating enough cash, and will put it up for sale at some point. I think it would be far easier and quicker and more convenient for WWE just to buy the entire company - rather than pick the parts it wants (i.e. only buy the video library)

Tonight's Impact was awesome! in my opinion, a great show from start to finish..
People have been saying Impact-TNA was dead since it debuted....

I can’t take this company seriously when it’s on a channel that has the picture reception of someone’s homemade video and every other wrestler is some Indy guy or girl I’ve never heard of and your storylines revolve around stupid ideas pitched by one of the most annoying commentators ever in josh Mathews

Impact would be better off moving operations to Europe. They can have regular tapings somewhere out there and use European talent and stream shows in the states. There is so much really good talent out there. Also with a major promotion running out there would draw really well for live events.
They can utilize some American talent but the rest they wouldn't need.
