The only TNA game makes it's ten year anniversary - your thoughts? Good: - (amazing) graphics - still for today
- Liked how the unlockables worked, gave you incentive to play the game.
- Ultimate X was fun
Bad: - Lots of glicthes
- Every wrestler feels like the same person
- Short entrances
- Lack of double team moves
- Lack of steel cage match
- Lack of entrances for tag teams (3D, MCMG, LAX)
- Generic storyline (why not have like the 2002-2008 career of AJ Styles or something?)
- Outdated attires
- Outdated arena
- Only one real life arena
- Tons of fake characters - makes the game feel like a knock-off wrestling game
- Lack of titles
- Lack of female wrestlers
- Lack of backstage areas
- Annoying camera for tag team matches
Do you think we will ever see another TNA game - or a ROH game or something?

You're right, but I'd still love to see it be backwards compatible for XBOX One, I'd buy it right away! Also, you almost always had to hit your finisher 3 times to get the win. But overall, I really enjoyed it. Seems like THQ used the same engine for WWE All-Stars as it felt very similar, which made it great.

was a decent game,by no means did it compare to smackdown vs raw 2008 at the time (which got boring quick anyways i found myself going back to 07 alot) but it was a good start, it ust felt rushed/unfinished. but if they added more moves and expanded the move sets and added lethal lock down had a better story mode more to ultimate x and focused on more multiplayer modes it could of been a classic

I'm probably going to get some flak for this....but I really enjoyed the story mode.
My biggest gripe with the TNA game was the controls. Ugh.

It was fun to play for a few hours at a time but did get boring after a bit. Thought it was a great foundation for a series though. Shame we never got a 2nd one.

It was a bad game that had a ton of potential. I would've loved to see what they could do with a sequel.

I bought it awhile back at my local gamestop but I sucked at it. lol
The game looked good to me but I hated the opponents always reversed everything so much.

Very solid game, love it to this day, still play it on xbox and wii. if a second was made, with better move sets for each person, and more match types, id be in heaven!! the engine is solid and it plays great, just needs some fine tuning and it sucks we never got a second. but this stands out for all the work and detail they put into it, nice piece of history.
things i liked were the move reversals system, countering a counter of a counter is always a laugh. the spring board moves, very nice. and also the get in crowd glitch
things i disliked were the same moveset all round, lack of match types, 3 way U-x when i want a 4-way UX or even a 6 man!! lack of extra created character slots, lack of explorability (to jump off the stage would be epic!)

This game always gets a lot of flack and I never understood why. Yeah it missed a lot of match types, but it had a unique story mode and it was what I wanted from a wrestling game with great graphics that still hold up, an arcade style gameplay, and when playing with friends it becomes even more fun.
Gonna be honest I currently own this game for PS3, PS2 AND my PSP, and all versions are great with certain characters being on certain systems.
PS2/PSP- Classic short tights AJ Styles and Chris Sabin PS3- Curry Man PSP- Consequences Creed PSP/PS3- Petey Williams
Overall, it was something new that could've been built upon over time with new match types like 6 Sides of Steel, but was sadly dropped. With Ultimate X being in it, it was something I remember playing A LOT, especially since I was a diehard TNA fan growing up from around 2003-2013.

The game was a little empty, yes, but I still had so much fun with it! I had the game pre-ordered and I even have a mini-poster of the game still hanging on my wall! I always had fun every time I played it! Which is more than I can say for some recent WWE games.

Does anyone remember that video that used to be on YouTube of Super Eric (Young) and Jim Cornette?
They were literally just game characters in T-pose being spun around.
I've got no idea on how someone managed to get ahold of them - can someone shed some light?

Honestly at the time I still thought this game was better than that year's SVR game (SVR09), the only real negative I ever had with this game was that they boiled people down into archetypes which meant everyone fell into one of three generic movesets and aside from finishers, they never felt different from one another. I think the sequel would have been great. Mostly the same roster with some new names, Joe teased Six Sides of Steel and double-team moves being in the game on Twitter.
That same dev team made WWE All Stars and from what I remember of that time, that was the style of game they wanted to do with TNA but Joe and AJ wanted them to do something more realistic. Shame that dev went away when THQ went under, I'd love to see them tackle another wrestling game now.

I picked it up years ago at EBgames for 2.99. I got stuck in the story mode around chapter 4. I eventually sold it to a friend
