to mods, sorry in advanced if this thread do not belong here or supposed to be talked about. don't recall this topic ever talked about.
Any way, like title reads. will be selling for my first time, at a local flea market in Avenel, NJ on Saturday 8/25 & maybe sunday 8/26. I am selling majority of collection. that consist of my doubles of transformers, wwe, star trek, pokemon, nerf, pops, & etc. I already asked, about the rent, & how early I need to wake up just to get a spot. just want any tips from anyone who does this side cash venture. Do collectors come to these types of events on a regular. I know for myself, I go just once a year to English town. Is there any pros/cons about doing this. do I lower my prices down at the last hour, just to make a fast sale. what should I bring, besides my goods. any help, I would gladly appreciate it.

Get lots of change. Tens, fives & singles. Bring plastic bags. Get yourself a small cooler with drinks and your lunch in it. A tablecloth will always make your items look better. If you are outside, wear a hat & use sunscreen. Maybe bring an umbrella or something that will give you shade. Most people like to haggle over the price, but don't let them screw you over. Check your prices before hand to see how much they're going for. If you're using yellow sticky notes as price tags, write the item underneath the price. This will discourage dirtbags from trying to switch price tags with other items. If you want the most for an item, put a higher price on the price tag with a line through it. Then put a lower price underneath it. This makes it look like you lowered the price for a quick sale.
I used to sell at the Golden Nugget Antique flea market in Lambertville, NJ. I stopped once they changed their policies & raised the table fees.

Ive done a few of these in the uk, but wouldnt recommend taking decent figs to them, if you do a few, the packaging will suffer, in and out of your car, handled by kids and adults who dont care about your stuff, moaning about prices, i would say to anybody, the ONLY place to sell your stuff is ebay, it has 174 million members, thats 175 million potential customers, 175 million people seeing your stuff, sure, you have to pack it up and pay some fees, but you have to pack your car and pay a fee at the market

Get Square, or the PayPal swipe thing, or something to take cards. It's 2018, people at flea markets should be taking cards already.
