A Confrontation Over Ten Years in the Making!
Drakz!
Michael Kyzer!
¡Cara a Cara!
---------------------------------------------------
Just when you thought the mercury couldn’t peak any higher.
For years now, Michael Kyzer - the enigmatic beacon of The New Epoch - has been a thorn in the side of his former best friend - perennial champion and all around winner Drakz. Whenever it seems that Drakz is at the precipice of another sterling hallmark in his career, Kyzer appears at the zero hour to send everything in Drakz’s world crashing down - often on top of him, in very violent and destructive fashion.
Such is the case, even today, in 2018.
Finally back from an extended and uncertain hiatus, Drakz seemed poised to reclaim his spot atop the hierarchy of the WFWF roster in short order when the destructive avatar of The God of F*ck, the imposing Tugarin Zmey, emerged to lay waste to the Streak Destroyer Destroyer Destroyer, later handing him his first singles defeat in recent memory.
Was anyone surprised by who was around to witness the chaos?
While neither man is slated to compete as the WFWF’s World Domination Tour soldiers into Mexico City, both are confirmed to be in attendance, and when these two longtime friends turned bitter rivals finally come face to face in a WFWF ring, the world may very well be poised to witness the second fall of the National Palace when all is said and done!
The Main Event!
¡La Batalla por el Campeonato Internacional!
---------------------------------------------------
Ante Whitner vs. Frank Lynn
Also back from an extended hiatus?
Ante Whitner.
The past several weeks have seen a new, not particularly gentler side of Ante Whitner. While many would mistake his newfound spirituality for weakness, his showing against the monstrous Tugarin Zmey at Chicago’s Second to None event only solidified that Whitner has traded none of the vicious cunning he’d built his name upon in years past in pursuit of his new holy endeavors. After toppling a promising young rookie in Reina Kenshin ahead of his cerebral takedown of the Mongolian dragon, Whitner set his sights firmly back upon his old pursuit of championship gold, and before long, WFWF International Champion Frank Lynn found himself squarely in the Bloodied Eagle’s crosshairs.
The champion, having taken a vow of his own to serve as a tried and true “fighting champion” implored Whitner to join him beneath the storied arc of the Tokyo Dome, where WFWF General Manager Lila Sleater served as the arbitrator for a contract signing between the two men, which brings us here to Mexico City. Here, Frank Lynn faces, perhaps, his greatest championship defense yet, squaring off against the renewed focus of a man who once shattered the record for the longest consecutive National Championship reign. Will Frank Lynn soldier onward toward London, championship in hand? Or will Ante Whitner complete his meteoric re-ascension back toward the top of the WFWF’s upper echelon, solidifying himself as perhaps the single greatest threat climbing the ranks today?
Tournament Semi-Finals:
Of Martians and Maintenance!
---------------------------------------------------
Shuggy vs. Billy Broom
At Under the Dome, Shuggy - the atypical confidant of former WFWF World Heavyweight Champion Joe Bishop - shocked the world when he emerged victorious against the more seasoned and prototypical Sean Casey in the first round of the World Domination Tournament. His moment of triumph - a surprise to all who’d discounted him by virtue of size and experience - propels him into the semi-final round against another unlikely advancement: the f*cking janitor, Billy Broom! Broom saw his hand raised having put a swift and decisive end to the highly anticipated debut of “The Keto Catch King” KC Jones, whose twenty million dollar pricetag proved to be no indicator of success or longevity. Now, this unlikely pairing squares off to see which of them advances to London for the chance of a lifetime - a shot at a brand new WFWF Championship!
Tournament Semi-Finals:
A High Stakes Rematch!
---------------------------------------------------
Mesh vs. Chris Priceless
Chicago’s feature, Second to None, saw Chris Priceless come up short in his debut match against the eclectic blur of color that is Mesh. Not one to roll over on the heels of defeat, Priceless soldiered on, and for his efforts, was rewarded when he advanced to the semi-final round, defeating Ryan “Needles” Payne at Under the Dome to climb one step closer to the Championship Finals in London. His last, remaining roadblock? The aforementioned Mesh, who punched her own card to the semi-final round in a decisive victory over the returning Lance Rodriguez. The first meeting between these combatants lay grounded in their early efforts to prove their worth, but now, the stakes have never been higher, as only one will emerge victorious and earn a championship match beneath the bright lights of London’s Wembley Stadium!
The Battle for Violent Supremacy!
---------------------------------------------------
”The Violent Gentleman” Sean Casey vs. Tyler Draven
Sean Casey came up short in the early goings of the World Domination Tournament - a defeat that may have only strengthened his resolve. Back on the heels of a brief hiatus that has seen him reemerge more polished and determined than ever before, the worldly veteran comes to Mexico with the grandest of opportunities to prove his defeat at the hands of Shuggy a mere fluke as he takes on the one-time protege of The King of Demons, Tyler Draven. It’s been a moment or two since Draven has last been seen in a WFWF ring, but the effects of his world stage debut and his early, decisive victories still resonate throughout the company, even during his brief absence. A victory over the calculating and talented Sean Casey would no doubt prove to be an ample launching pad back on to the course Draven’s already paved for himself, but there’s no telling what The Violent Gentleman may have prepared to prove himself the greater threat to the fabric of the WFWF.
A Shot at Redemption!
---------------------------------------------------
Ryan “Needles” Payne vs. Lance Rodriguez
Ryan Payne and Lance Rodriguez both found themselves early eliminations in the World Domination Tournament, each being handed a crushing defeat at the hands of Chris Priceless and Mesh, respectively. As each man copes with his championship pursuits having been derailed, at least for the moment, a shot at redemption lies in wait for whoever among them is able to soldier on toward Mexico and emerge the victor over the other. A win here could be the ultimate catalyst in putting the shortcomings of their defeats in Japan out of sight and out of mind.
