I was expecting to lose tonight anyway, but I really hope this game proved to Joe Torre why Jeff Karstens and Jim Brower are nothing more than minor league scrubs who should never pitch in the big leagues again.

Uh...I expected to lose tonight because Jeff ing Karstens was the starting pitcher. I came into this series hoping we could take 2/3 from the O's. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's game...Hughes vs. Bedard should be great. Tampa Bay has by far the worst bullpen ever.

well i never expect to lose. I know its gonna happen every now and then. Tonight seemed like a good chance especially with Karstens pitching. Either way still a lot of ball to be played this season

Just why was Karstens starting tonight? Was it Clemens turn in the rotation?

Hey im all for sticking up for your players. If your guys get hit then you should retaliate. Id expect NY, Boston or anyone else to do it. Nothing like a pitching duel between Pedro and Roger haha

yeah well why would you retaliate when you clearly got warned, and knowing that you'd most likely get suspended. towers was an idiot to hit arod in the first place, but then again, who cares. it was good tv. and as for the yankee announcers being like "hey you hit me yesterday, this isn't a two for one" yeah, because listch clearly hit arod. not. he tried to, but it went behind him, so they can stfu.

This is the last part I'll say about the A-Rod/ Jays situation because there's no use in beating a dead horse.
A-Rod was thrown behind by Litsch a day earlier and then was intentionally hit by Towers. How many times are you supposed to let the opponent take free shots at your star player? Clemens did what needed to be done, it was just a matter of the fact that it was stupid that Clemens was the one who did it. Clemens is old school like that as far as sticking up for his teammates, though, so it's not like it's a mystery why he would do it. I just wish Torre had the presence of mind to go up to Clemens before the 6th inning and tell him not to do anything and that the team would retaliate later. That way, they could have brought in Farnsworthless to throw a 100 MPH fastball at some douchebag. Then, not only would it have been retaliation but Farnsworth would have also been suspended. So you kill two birds with one stone.

In non-Yankees talk, someone needs to forcibly castrate Joe Borowski. Tonight.
