Rumor is TRW, Andruw might take a 1-year deal to come back and then have a real contract year I believe that, for sure. But hell, to be honest, do we even want to do that? Because unless we extend Teixeira this offseason, he'll be up then. But either way, he needs to take some time off to rest his stupid elbow, and see if it feels better. That, and he needs to watch that Tom Emansky tape.

I dont think Texeria is going to re-up right away, hes gonna test the market because Boras is a money grubbing prick. I mean, it'd be nice if he did for the Braves, but I doubt it.

I doubt it too. But I think the Braves are probably going to either try and re-sign him or Andruw long term during the off-season, and I would prefer it be Teixeira.

I'd prefer Andruw Jones to be shot in the face.

I'd prefer Andruw Jones to be shot in the face. lol, no kidding. If I have to watch him smile after he strikes out with two men on, or hits intoa double play, I am going to choke him to death with a Braves Kenny Lofton jersey.

There are too many places for Teixeira to go... The Yankees first base situation is a mess, Teixeira grew up an Orioles fan, The Angels seem to be in the mix for most big free agents, and seriously need some lineup protection for Guerrero, The Dodgers always have the money to make a push when they want to, The Giant may make a push if Barroid chooses to pack his bags(which is doubtful).
Boras will probably use the Yankees and Angels to stick the braves up for more money.
I personally don't want the guy unless we lose A-Rod. I'd invest our money into signing A-Rod long term, signing Posada for 2 years with an option year. I wouldn't mind losing Abreu... I could live with an outfield of Matsui, Damon and Cabrera.
The Braves are in one of those unenviable situations where a trade looks good, unless you can't re-sign the player.

I doubt Bonds will be back with the Giants

I doubt Bonds will be back with the Giants I don't... that team really has nothing else going on right now. As long as Bonds wants to play, he'll be back in San Francisco. It probably makes more sense for him to go to the AL and DH, but I don't really see a team that will take him and his excess baggage.

July 1, 2007 MLB Thread Post #26
The Yankees have dug their own grave, and I really don't think they can climb out of it at this point. The Red Sox have finally cooled off and given the Yankees a huge opportunity to cut the lead down, but they've pissed it all away. If they would have won both series' against Colorado and San Fran, they wold have been right back in the division race.
If you win the games you're supposed to, chances are that other teams will cool off and give you a chance to sneak back in. The Yankees blew a golden opporunity and only have themselves to blame.
Oh, well.
Random Lorenzo post for fun: A-Rod is going to be on the DL probably for a month......Yanks are dead, he was our only source of offense in a otherwise struggling lineup.
He has 28 HR's, nobody else on the damn team even has 10.......I have NO idea where we are going to get our runs from. Only right handed bat with power in the lineup.
Thats all I got for half of July, I got bored, but I am sure there is more.
Point is...you guys all blow.

What I said was, at the time, very reasonable. It's not like I was flipping out going "YANKEES SUX WERE GONA FINISH LAST PLACE!1!" like Revolution.

I doubt Bonds will be back with the Giants Who in the world would take him? If he goes anywhere else, he's going to be a distraction and he's lost most of his marketability now that he's broken the homerun record. The only way Bonds is going to continue playing is if it's with the Giants. No one else will tolerate the crapthey'll need to put up with just to get 20 - 30 homeruns from Bonds.

Yah I cant wait to lose to the worst team in the league, awesome Theres no shame in losing to Scott Kazmir. If the Red Sox get shut down by James Shields and Alan Sonnanstine, then throw in the towel. Oh yeah, I will delete myself as well if the Braves win the World Series.
