Seriously, the White Sox are a disgrace. They are just a walking disaster Its got to the point where the entire organization should feel sorry for stealing the people's money who actually go and watch these excuses for Major League players play ball. And with that game, the series score is 46 - 7. ....i have no words.

Chris B Young for Javier Vasquez, yikes.
Anyways, the AL East is over unless the Yankees sweep all 6 games together, all the Sox hafta do is win 1 game this week...2/3 or a sweep and the nail is in the coffin

If the Yankees win tomorrow and take 2/3 from the Sox, then they're...six games back. With 28 games to play. Certainly not impossible, especially if the Red Sox start playing as bad as they were before.

No the division is over, I mean its mathematically possible but the Yankees would have to go 24-7 and the Sox like 17 and 14, and thats just not happening. Not with the way the Yankees are playing right now and the weakness of both teams schedules.
Yankees need to take at least 4/6, but even that still puts them in a tough spot.
They can win the WC, but the division is gonna be near impossible.

The Wild Card or the Division is going to be tough for the Yankees.
But the good news is that not only do we play Seattle 3 more times, but Seattle plays Anaheim 7 more times, Cleveland 5 more times, Detroit 3 more times, Oakland 6 more times and Texas 3 more times.
Obviously they will probably smoke Tampa probably taking 3 out of 4, maybe we get lucky and they split. And the 3 against Toronto are a crap shoot.
But other than that, Seattle does NOT have an easy schedule the rest of the way.
The Yankees have
Seattle - 3 games....those become HUGE games.
Boston - 6 games....Red Sox are always tough. I don't think the Yankees can win the division, so these games are only important based on the fact that obviously we don't want to LOSE games and lose ground in the WC if Seattle wins that day.
Tampa Bay - 6 gmes...Yanks need to pound them.
Royals - 3 games...should pound them too.
Blue Jays - 7 more games...need to beat the bad teams.
Baltimore - 6 games...they are such a crappy team and we can't beat them...that NEEDS to change if the Yankees want to play in October. Because right now if we don't make the playoffs it is because we got housed by Baltimore, Anaheim, and obviously this Detroit series hasn't gone well.
The Red Sox pretty much only play Baltimore, Toronto, and Tampa Bay for the entire month of September, so they can start printing the playoff tickets and the AL EAST t-shirts.
The Yankees have 32 games left......they would need to go 23-9 to get 95 wins which I don't think is possible, so they really need to count on Seattle tanking, Cleveland running away with the division and Detroit gaining no ground.
It's possible, but a lot of things have to go right, and obviously the Yankees have to do something that has been hard latley.....WIN GAMES. If they lose their games it doesn't matter what everybody else is doing...bottom line is the Yankees have to find ways to win ballgames.
