If I spend money you better believe I am going to take it serously. This is the funniest/saddest thing I have read in ages. People like this are why the hobby gets looked down upon. Yikes. It's not surprising that people have already started moaning before the panel even starts. This happens every year and it almost always comes from the "I don't like modern wrestling which means nobody else should" crowd. Let people enjoy their toys. Damn. It's exhausting. Kind of gross to see such toxicity surrounding toys. Right? People aren't required to buy everything that Mattel makes but you would think they were the way they act.

Already getting crazy in here before the event even started lmao I freaked out for N.A.O, I hope it's before they joined DX but I also don't mind them in their DX gear. Hopefully they fixed Billy's shin/boots. Hyped to see what Ultimate Warrior we got coming this time. It's been awhile since I've picked Warrior \m/ I wasn’t really looking to get any more new age outlaws figures but if these look good I think it’ll be easy to convince myself to get them. Starting to get a little excited about it. I hope Billy Gunn has a new face expression I had a feeling we'd see them released again once Mattel started using the molded tshirts on Elites. Road Dogg's removable shirt looks so bulky, and I wasn't a big fan of Billy's head sculpt. Can't wait to see what they look like.

And I'm betting they stick to that going forward, to "uniquely brand it" to use awful corporate speak. Wouldn't be surprised to see British Strong Style -vs- Undisputed Era -vs- War Raiders & Ricochet this year. Fish should be back by November. I bet we get 4 on 4 this year if it happens. That's right. I absolutely do hope it's 4v4 this year. And even though I get why they kept it off, the purist in me hopes they have a roof this time. Maybe lower it a la Lethal Lockdown when THE MATCH BEYOND officially begins, which would allow for a top-of-the-cage spot or two before all eight (or ten if it's 5v5) enter.

I'm excited to get an updated figure of Drew. I still have that Elimination Chamber Basic displayed with the oval IC Title. I will always love that Drew but his current look is definitely a big want and much welcomed upgrade. It's crazy to think we've gotten so many of the TNA figures I wanted from the past decade or so. P1 AJ, Joe, Bobby Roode, the Hardys, A Double, Angle, Sting, even Christian's E3 figure. Now if only the Machine Guns would sign to WWE so I could really cross off my biggest wants.

"Billy Gunn W/ new head sculpt, shirt, removable bandanna and pink attire (attire subject to change)"
Hopefully him & Road Dogg have cloth shirts and not those really bulky plastics vests they had previously. The vests really spoiled the figures IMO.

But what does it really matter? Every line and name of that line is simply a way for Mattel to market and sell their product to make money. And you, as the consumer, choose to either buy said product or not. That's the be-all, end-all of it. Comments like yours make coming to this board incredibly frustrating at times. Enjoy the figures you like, and ignore the ones you don't. And to address a previous comment, just like there are people like you who prefer the entertainment aspect over the in-ring, there are people like me who wake up to watch Night 4 of the G1 Climax. There is room and toys enough for both of us. I think sometimes the line names are taken a little too literally. They're brands, plain and simple. The EM line releases multi figure sets with premium accessories. The DM and EG lines have high-demand characters with a music box or added accessories (though that was debatable in the dying days of DM). At the end of the day, they're a vehicle for Mattel to release and sell figures that may not fit in other lines. This was a way for Bill to get three new figures released. Fish and O'Riley probably don't have a ton of selling power on their own. Cole is one of the most frequently requested current figures I see around here, and will probably drive sales for the set. They're 3 fairly plain attires, throw in a couple t-shirts or belts and sell it for $50. Whether it's an "epic moment" is entirely subjective. But from a business and brand perspective, it makes total sense. ^This^ Most of the moments weren’t defining Theres nothing really great about Angle or Hardy’s entrances Sting’s WCW title win over Vader is not spotlighted on the network

Those plastic shirts sucked I could never get the little clasps to stay closed. Thankfully we have gotten a lot more soft goods shirts in the line. Cloth DX shirts would be excellent

There is room and toys enough for both of us. When I first heard about the Epic Moments line, I got really excited thinking of the great moments throughout WWE history that could be memorialized in figure form. The modern equivalent of the Job Squad was not exactly what I had in mind -- infact it wasn't even in the top 1000. So yes I have every reason to be upset, especially when the tide is overwhelmingly turning towards one type of fan and if I don't speak up Mattel will think that's all people want.

Are the Outlaws definitely getting new figures? I've been checking eBay for them for a while but I'll wait if they are getting protos today. Seems that way. Definitely hang tight. Doors are at 10am PT (1pm ET) and Bill said he's going to have most of the reveals out first thing in the morning today. So you could see them in about 2 hours. Either that or he'll show renders in the panel. Which means we'll have a longer wait until release but at least you'll know they're coming and which attires you like better. I love the Outlaws. I'm pumped we're getting more of them.

In name only, by no means did that match capture the essence of the old War Games. It was a very good cage match, but it wasn’t “War Games” to me. It was more "War Games" than anything WCW did during their dying days. And what essence are you talking about? It didn't have a roof & had the 1998-Esque Line Up of 3 Vs. 3 Vs. 3 instead of the usual 4 Vs. 4. The roof was a big part of it. With the roof it was a more ominous feel to it . It looked like it was going to be a brutal vicious fight, because they were locked inside and they had to fight until some submitted or was pinned. They couldn’t just climb out and escape to win. They had to stay in there and battle until someone couldn’t anymore. The NXT Match was nothing more than a two ring cage match. Then making it a three team match took the whole 2 on 1 concept out of it because now it could be everyone for themselves so it loses that underdog feel for the team that lost the coin toss. Just like with the Hell in the Cell. Remove the roof and it’s just a glorified cage match. It just missed the mark for me. I don’t watch NXT, but I did watch that and it was the last NXT show I watched. I thought it was a very good cage match just not War Games. But this is SDCC so that’s all I will say about War Game unless they show a War Games play set.
