You gotta love a catcher stealing home plate in the Phillies/Reds game. A freaking catcher! If you told me it was Rollins or Victorino I'd have believed you, but if you told me a catch was going to steal home I'd have laughed at you.

Because Bobby Cox LOVES to platoon people. Freaking LOVES it.
He ruined the development of Klesko by only letting him hit right handed pitching, and would always sit him against lefties. Even though Thorman has been garbage, he'll continue to platoon forever I imagine.

Cardinals could very well take it, not to take away from Nick or the Cubs, I would go with the Cardinals IF IF IF Carpentar and Mulder come back and contribute, and Maroth is decent. Thats 3 very solid arms coming to help the team I would go with them too, but I honestly don't expect Carpenter to come back at all, and if he does, he's going to go right back onto the DL. I think he's ed in the long-term. Anything elbow-related, especially when it's coming from someone with elbow-related injury history. Mulder's a mystery, who knows really. I dunno if Maroth is up yet, but he's an upgrade no doubt. The main qualm I have with the Cardinals is they don't have these pieces now, and won't until ATLEAST August. And they're still huge ifs. They could be out of the race by then, or neither Carpenter or Mulder could make contributions. Just too risky I think.

shouldn't everyone be punished/dealt with the same way by every mod/admin.......why do some get more harsher punishments and others get nothing? let's just be fair here, if somebody does something wrong it is still wrong no matter who is doing it. I thought the same thing too, But Its not the same in the real world nor WFland.

Carpentar is supposedly going on a rehab assignment soon, like next week and could be back by the All Star game and Mike Maroth is real talented and the NL should help.
If the Cubs stop underacheiving they could easily overtake the Brewers, they just gotta stop blowing each other

If the Brewers keep playing like they did tonight, no one will stop them. IMO, Theres only 4-5 bats in that lineup that dont have 25+ HR potential. Grafi, Counsel, Miller, and Gwynn Jr who's in AAA currently.
for the most part, the Brewers have had a tendency to break down and struggle. Usually led by key injuries. Im not worried. We had Cory Koskie go down last year, and Counsel and Graff stepped in. They stunk it up at the plate and we were able to call up Ryan "I hit doubles" Braun. Who has been insane since he was called up. He look way to calm and has been on fire. In the outfield we've got a log jam of players. Corey Hart's on fire too. Meanwhile Mench, Gross, and Gwynn are still great backups. Capuano is slated to be back next week sometime. Who's getting the boot from the rotation is unknown right now. Yovani could stay, Bush looks to be going to the bullpen. Vargas Im not sure. Oh and Manny Parra is doing well back in AAA after getting called up from AA after Yovani went up. So even If sheets goes down or Capuano goes down, We've got plenty of options. The bullpen is my only worry, and we've got plenty to offer for a trade if need be. Qualls would be my guy if indeed on the market.
While im rambling about the Brewers... Derick Turnbow DID NOT Blow a save last night, sorry ralpho.
Todays game, 11-5 Johnny Estrada hit a grand slam in a NINE RUN 5th inning.
I'll be at tomorows afternoon game for Jeff Suppan vs "I cant get a" Woody Williams

Looks like the negotians between the Red Sox and White Sox for Mark Buehrle have fallen apart. The Braves, Mets, and Yankees are still interested though.
Looks like you already chased away a team Kenny.

The Bueherle stuff isnt gonna go down for a month anyways, if the Red Sox or any other big market team wanted to get involved, they could get back right quick.

Yes, but this is Chicago news is slow, and I'm tired of hearing how that dumb Tank Johnson blew is shot of possibly ever being on a NFL team again.
