I've been both honest and respectful of everyone here. If you think I've done anything but, please point it out and I will apologize.
The electoral college was created because they plain out did not trust the citizens to elect a leader.

You've either failed to read Madison's letter (in your link), my posts, or both. The letter you linked to is Madison explaining the virtues of a Constitutional Republic, and the weakness of a democracy. He explains it in much the same way I have been doing. Why you thought that would disprove anything I've said is beyond me.
Find one thing Madison said in that letter that you think proves that "the electoral college was created because they plain did not trust the citizens to elect a leader." In fact, count the number of times the word "electoral college" was even used in that letter.
It’s a flawed system when trump won PA and FL by only around 200k votes and was awarded 56 points, while Clinton won MA by over a million and was only give 11 points.
So you want a system that would award Hillary Clinton a victory when she didn't win the majority of the votes, the majority of states, or the majority of the electorate? At least Trump won a majority of states and a majority of the electorate. Hillary won none of the three.
I get it. Defending it and all your talking points are a part of your parties narrative.
What party would that be, pray tell? My candidate did not win the 2016 Presidential election, by the way, so I really don't know what you are on about there. Instead of making assumptions, could you please just stick to the debate at hand, which is a debate about the electoral college vs. the popular vote.
It’s useless to argue, because you will be right and nothing can change your mind.
Facts, logic, and reason will change my mind. I used to think the electoral college was a joke too, just like you, until I actually researched it and learned about it myself.
Just tell me why Hillary Clinton deserves to win when she did not win a majority of the popular vote, did not win a majority of the states, and did not win a majority of the electorate? By what standard did she deserve to win? More people voted against her than for her, by any metric you care to use. At least Donald Trump won a majority of the states and a majority of the electorate.
This thread has turned out just like every other political thread..
All the boards right wingers swarming anyone with different views to the point no one feels like arguing and you all can give your selfs a pat on the back.

I haven't swarmed or insulted anybody, have I? Did I insult you or disrespect you in any way?
Now just waiting for one of you to get all racist, as usual
You claim that "right wingers" have insulted everyone here, but then clearly accuse those same right-wingers of being racist, when no one here as said anything even remotely close to racist. Why can't you just stick to the debate at hand? If you don't want this thread to descend into name calling, please don't engage in it yourself. I've done my best to treat everyone here with respect. I would appreciate the same.
