There is an interview on Legion of Leia.com with Marty Abrams and Paul Clarke. Their shooting to have new product on pegs every 45 days. Not sure how to feel about this. That will never happen being a Target exclusive. Hell, it would be tough with almost ANY of the big box retailers. Hot Topic could possibly handle it, but then the figures would be $22.90 instead of $14.99 Oh I agree. And even on the slim possibly they could pull it off I feel like it would be to much product on the shelves.

I like these figures, and I'm sure there are quite a few other people who do as well, but I feel like this is something where a bunch are going to go on clearance and this experiment will be over by next year. I would be thrilled to be wrong though. I'm all for nostalgic properties.

I get the feeling that the first couple of waves will be a feeling out process to see what sells. Doc Mego has mentioned that some of the properties their doing was at Target's request. And as much as I love some of these and wouldn't mind if they got some older properties to do, they should get some more modern stuff to try and entice new people to the line.

I don’t know how true it is, but I read someplace (i think the Fwoosh) that the Mego line is like Mattel’s DC Female superhero line where it was exclusive to Target for the first few months than all retailers would carry it. Again I don’t know how true that is.

Again I don’t know how true that is. Yeah, I've seen that on other sites but no one at Mego has given an official response yet so we'll see. It'd be great if they picked up momentum to be at other stores but if it does happen how long before exclusive waves to each store? And we all know how much fun that is.

Neat interview on AICN with Marty Abrams www.aintitcool.com/node/80724I'm cool with that. Hopefully these do well enough to move to other stores in 2019. I'm looking forward to seeing what newer properties he's gotten.

Saw that interview late last night and read it. Pretty good and it looks like they have a clear path they want to follow. Also did Mr. Abrams just let it slip that their doing an Andre the Giant Mego? The interviewer brings up the size of The Hulk from WGSH and says he just always used the 12 inch Hulk with the regular 8 inch line. Mr. Abrams says it’s a good idea and he’s think of doing that with Andre the Giant. Was there a Mego Andre back then?

Nope. Never a Mego Andre before. Maybe they are going to make Princess Bride line of Megos?

And with Mr. Abrams saying they have the next 20 months planed out good chance we'd get all the main characters.

I just found a low number Bela Lugosi as Dracula.
I'm kind of upset that the Fonzie figure doesn't have the thumbs that go up, or the arms that go in the up & down motion like the original.

Drac is probably the best of wave one. Should look really nice with Frankenstein's monster coming out in October.

I'm unfamiliar with the old black and white monster films but cause of these I'm wanting to go watch them. I've ever started watching star trek the original series. I mean I've only watched the pilot so far and wow that was different than the show I remember my dad watching when I was growing up.

I can’t wait for the Wolfman figure. That was one of my favorites as a kid. Has there been any talk about them relaunching the Planet of the Apes line?

Planet of the Apes is a want for a lot of people. Thing is its part of the Fox deal with Disney so who knows where it could end up.

Any of the Universal Monster films are classics. Dracula, Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, The Invisible Man, The Creature From the Black Lagoon, etc. There's no blood or gore, but it's amazing to see that these were the original horror films, and to see where it has evolved today. It changes by the decade. I highly suggest going from the Universal Monster films to the Hammer Horror films. The colors in the Hammer films jump out at you, like the 60s Batman TV series.

As long as they’re making stuff like Hendrix, I would love to get the Ramones in this style.
