Crazy, I always thought that was how they did his hair. Didn’t realize it was a bandana.

Man that's awesome! I always foun it disappointing that Shawn and Stephanie went unreleased. Seeing as how that would be Shawn's first and only figure. I know Steph had plenty of TTL figures but that one is very unique.

Gosh I remember the endless trips to the toyshop looking for the Shawn and Stephanie figures lol.
I was always under the illusion that the bandana was removable so that's a 17 year old mystery solved.

I was always under the illusion that the bandana was removable so that's a 17 year old mystery solved. SAME! I think, after awhile, they took Stasiak off the back and replaced him with Holly. However Stephanie still stuck. I remember getting so angry not finding either of them. It wasn't until about 2005 that I found neither were made. HUGE LETDOWN! It still amazes me how many protos were readily thrown on the backs of packages. So many childhood hours wasted looking for these two, Linda McMahon, Jeff Jarrett...not to mention Wednesday Addams and Cousin It from the Addams Family haha! Not to stray too far...how many of you also had friends that swore they saw unreleased figures? I had a friend who "had" this Stasiak, Stephanie and swore they also had a Nitro Girls set. Oh and the illusive Aunt May from Spider-Man the animated series. Literally this friend had everything...at his dad's house lol

I remember being told that the local Toys R Us had a new TTL Kane with a removable mask, Bulldog in jeans, Kaientai etc it drove me crazy.

Once, when I was playing hooky from school, I called a local TRU. The dude seemed to know his wrestling. He's like, "oh we just got the Mr. Perfect R3 tech in!" I ran up there with my dad but there were none. I was let down when I finally found out that Perfect was unreleased. Or those dang Draft figures. I will forever hold a grudge with Jakks for that utter unnecessary bulls*it line. Literally I've never been f*cked like that in my life lol. I'll never let that go.

There is no clear picture of Stasiak up-close but this is it, if detail and paint were added it would show.

I didn’t even google Shawn Stasiak figure, just Shawn Stasiak to find this, still looks like his stupid spiked hair. Your prototype looks a lot better than the heads they had out at the time. Seems kinda odd they’d put him in a bandana too. Couldn’t find any pics of him wearing one. But I’m no planet Stasiak aficionado

Really cool. Is that pre real scan from when he was Meat in 1999? Or 2001? Because it looks so much like him. What year was this scheduled to be released?

This one is kind of weird, it's the same he'd but it looks like the body is a statue? It's also odd that those are 2 different prototypes pictures of him. Really makes me wonder if the prototype figure will ever surface. But I really want to see close up pictures of the Stephane. It looks so unique and I remember as a kid looking everywhere to find her.

The pics of Stasiak and Stephanie posted above were captured from an old WWF broadcast. The then-upcoming figures were being prepared for a photo shoot. These date back to the fall of 1999. Here's a clearer image of the prototype Shawn Stasiak figure, as well as one of the complete Back Alley Street Fighters series (before it was changed). Stephanie's figure was conspicuously absent from newer photos that were posted online by early December 1999, so she was definitely the first to go from this lineup. She was replaced by Road Dogg. Stasiak was gone not long after that (replaced by Hardcore Holly), and I believe the series (which was shortened in name to "Back Alley Street Fight") wound up in stores by the early summer of 2000.

That looks like another statue version of the figure and not the same as the one in the back of the boxes, although it could just be bad quality but it looks a lot different body wise.

The other four, plus Road Dogg and Hardcore Holly, could be found at stores like Toys"R"Us and KB Toys in the summer of 2000. Retail for these figures was $5.99 to 6.99 each. They were released on the green WrestleMania 2000 carding. Some of the accessories were changed from this photo (notably the BCA era Big Eagle belt and yellow boombox). Stasiak's broom became Holly's street sign, and for whatever reason, Road Dogg inherited Steph's door as an accessory.

Look back at some Jakks figures and notice some of them dont have certain joins yet. Either that or that originally the 'Back Alley Street Fight' series was going to be a sculpted series like the Fatal 4-Way series Jakks did and then got changed later to a regular TTL series. Regardless, I think its safe to say we all want to see the Shawn Stasiak figure surface. Im going to tweet the meat now see if he has any idea
