Curious to know what everyone's favorite wrestling title that does not contain officially licensed real life wrestlers. Guessing a lot of responses may be from the Fire Pro series. I was never able to figure out the grappling system of those games so its not on my list of favorites. Admittedly I never devoted too much time to learn the system but may give it another shot whenever World gets released. My personal favorite is the first wrestling game I've ever played, Mat Mania. It still holds up today and a port can be found on PS4. I highly recommend checking it out if you haven't already. Will only cost you a few bucks.

Besides Fire Pro Wrestling R (my all time favorite wrestling game) my top three favorite non-licensed wrestling games are:
Pro Wrestling for the NES - My very first wrestling game I ever played and I was totally addicted to playing as Starman.
Saturday Night Slam Masters for the Arcade and SNES - Arcade beat'em up/fighter with elements of wrestling peppered in. Mike freakin Haggar!
Blazing Tornado for the Arcade and Saturn - Bascially Fire Pro for the Arcade with a more forgiving timing system and ridiculous finishing moves.

Does Galactic Wrestling: Featuring Ultimate Muscle count? If not, then Fire Pro Returns. Really intrigued by the latest Fire Pro game since it lends itself well to being on PC.

Fire Pro Wrestling D and Saturday Night Slam Masters.
I've never played it, but I've heard good things any the Simpsons wrestling game. Does that count?

Tecmo World Wrestling for the NES and Power Move Pro Wrestling on PS1 are games that I had ton of fun with despite their lack of licensing. For their time, the actual wrestling was fun and the characters were memorable.

Mine would actually be EWR 4.2. I think the game still holds up today even as basic as it is.
