TNA Impact Spoilers March 9-23

These should air on March 9th.

* The show starts with Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards brawling out into the arena. They're broken up

* Jeremy Borash comes out and says there will be changes to the commentary team. He'll be joining The Pope and Josh Mathews but there will be more changes

* Reno Scum defeated Kingston and Bram

* Braxton Sutter defeated Caleb Konley, DJZ and Marshe Rockett. Laurel Van Ness came out after the match and stared at Allie, who was with Sutter

* Brandi Rhodes vs. KC Quinn (Brandi Lauren) never happened because Cody Rhodes announced that he won't allow Impact to pimp the Rhodes name out. Cody pays KC some cash and says it's more than she would have received from TNA. The Rhodes leave and out comes Rosemary to attack KC

* Bruce Prichard comes out and cuts a heel promo. He says TNA is dead - there are new owners and new management. Prichard introduces World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley and praises him. They're interrupted by Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio). Patron wants the title but Ethan Carter III interrupts and says that's not happening, Alberto needs to earn his shot. The segment ends with Lashley vs. Patron being made official

* Dutch Mantell, the former Zeb Colter of WWE, comes out for his Impact debut. Dutch talks about the last time he was at TNA and says guys like AJ Styles, Kevin Nash, Samoa Joe, Sting and Bobby Roode left because there was no leadership and no direction. That's all going to change now

* Cody Rhodes comes out to call Moose to the ring. JB says Moose is in Japan. Cody tosses the GFW NEX*GEN Title into the ring and takes a seat

* Laredo Kid and Garza Jr. defeated Tyrus and Eli Drake

* Sienna defeated Rachael Ellering

* Alberto El Patron defeated Lashley to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. The finish saw two referee bumps and a false finish. Ethan Carter III watched the match from the stage

UPDATED:

These should air on March 16th and March 23rd.

* The World Heavyweight Title is now vacant as Alberto El Patron gave it up

* ODB defeated Rebel. They both engaged in a kissfest with Earl Hebner

* Backstage, Impact officials take the World Heavyweight Title from Alberto and give it back to Bobby Lashley due to the controversial ending to their match

* Alberto comes to the ring and says he loves this place because he can by Patron. He says this is his house. Impact allows him to do or say whatever he wants without any of the political BS. He calls Lashley to the ring but Ethan Carter III comes instead. EC3 says Alberto needs to earn the top spot. EC3 challenges him to a top contender's match. Alberto refuses and says he's here to fight the big dog, not the b---h. A fight breaks out and Alberto accepts

* X Division Champion Trevor Lee retains over Braxton Sutter, Andrew Everett and Suicide

* Sienna comes out to address Allie, who was out with Sutter. She threatens them and says Romeo & Juliet always meet their demise

* Bruce Prichard comes out and announces that we will crown new Tag Team Champions in two weeks via 4-team tournament. The Decay come out to interrupt and demand the titles. Reno Scum interrupts them. Out next is Laredo Kid and Garza Jr. They're all interrupted by the returning LAX, made up of Konnan, Homicide, Angel Rose and 2 guys from ROH

* Davey Richards defeated Suicide. Angelina Love was with Davey

* Garza Jr., Laredo Kid and Mahabali Shera defeated Fallah Bahh, Bokara and Envious Abraham. JB announced this as an international six-man tag match

* Reno Scum defeated The Decay when Rosemary accidentally sprayed mist at Crazzy Steve

* LAX defeated The DCC. There were problems between the DCC members

* Karen Jarrett came out for a promo. She said the past several years have been difficult but now it's all about changes. She can feel energy backstage and among the production crew. The audience chants for Josh Mathews to be fired. Ethan Carter III interrupts and says he's here to make Impact great but not for the Jarretts. Karen kisses up to him. Mathews interrupts and goes on a rant, saying the fans were too cheap to buy a ticket to NXT. He belittles Karen and all her changes. Mathews claims he's one of the best things going in Impact. Karen slaps him down

* TNA Knockouts Champion Rosemary defeated Santana

* Alberto El Patron defeated EC3 to become the new #1 contender. Patron won by submission

Xplosion and One Night Only tapings:

* Angelina Love defeated MJ in a match for Xplosion

* World Heavyweight Champion Bobby Lashley defeated Jake Holmes in a match for Xplosion

* Lauren Van Ness defeated Rachael Ellering in a match for a future One Night Only pay-per-view

How many champions have they had anyways? This trainwreck just gets worse and worse. I remember when I used to watch TNA because they had great matches with Kaz, Styles, Joe, MCMG, LAX, Daniels, Lethal etc etc but now it's just awful. How do you even explain to Lashley backstage with a straight face how the match is gonna go? lol. I honestly can't start with TNA right now.

Thanks to Jacob Cohen for the following Impact Wrestling spoilers. This show will air next Thursday, March 9th.

- Borash says there will be a new announcer. Jeremy Borash is the new announcer! Borash says to Josh that new management wants someone out there that the fans actually like. Borash berating Matthews for disrespecting the fans, legends, and it's time to change things up. Says Mike Tenay mentored him to be the next announcer, but someone got fired from WWE and the dummy old owners hired Josh. Josh says he sat under the learning tree of Jim Ross and called WM, he came to TNA for free. Borash says he's friends with Jim Ross and JR thinks Matthews sucks.

- Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards brawling their way out to start the show. They brawl into the crowd.

- Cody Rhodes comes out says it's time to start the show, asks the audience who wants to see Cody vs Moose tonight.

- Reno Scum defeat DCC. Dissension is teased in the DCC post match.

- Braxton Sutter defeats Marshe Rockett, DJZ, & Caleb Konley in a 4 way, after the match Laurel Van Ness came out to yell at Allie.

- KC Quinn (?), local wrestler Brandi Lauren. Cody does not allow Brandi Rhodes vs KC Quinn to happen, offer KC $45 ($20 more than she would get paid) to leave. Cody says Moose says he's in Japan, but Cody IS Japan. Cody challenges Moose for the Impact Grand Championship. Rosemary comes from the crowd and attacks KC Quinn for no reason.

- Bruce Prichard is here. Bruce claiming there was an Impact with hope a few years ago, but for whatever reason it didn't happen. TNA as a name is dead. Impact Wrestling is officially the only name this company goes by from this point forward. The new owners looked for people who have achieved greatness in the past, and Bruce has been there for it all. Bruce knows how to make wrestling great, and he certainly knows how to make an Impact. Bruce says it is important to know the face of the company, and brings out Bobby Lashley. Lashley says he has beat everyone and was the official choice of the President of the United States. Bruce says he doesn't know if anyone on the Impact roster can beat Lashley, out comes Alberto Del Patron. EC3 out now. EC3 says Alberto needs to earn his shot, and EC3 has carried the company for years on his perfectly symmetrical back. Lashley says EC3 lost to him already and won't get a shot, Lashley and Alberto will wrestle tonight!

Dutch is out now. Dutch is here because 8 years ago TNA was great and he's here to make Impact great again. Dutch talking about Style, Joe, Sting, Angle, Roode, Christian, and Nash and how they used to be here but left. They left the company because of a lack of leadership, vision, and respect But the biggest issue was that the fans left. Dutch wants to bring the fans back, he is here to give advice, he only answers to his boss, and his boss is the fans. This incarnation of Impact Wrestling is going to be given back to the fans. Asks everyone to stand and say "We The People... will make Impact great!"

- Cody out again, called Moose out again, Borash reminds Cody Moose is in Japan. Cody sat in the ring, then left.

- Sienna defeats Racheal Ellering.

- Garza Jr & Laredo Kid defeat Eli Drake & Tyrus.

- Rockstar Spud is out, Borash gave him cue cards, he's announcing the April dates and promoting shoptna.com. July 2nd is Slammiversary.

- Alberto El Patron "defeats" Bobby Lashley to become Impact Wrestling Champion. Hebner and Stiffler fighting over who the champion is, Earl out to settle this. Bruce Prichard and other Impact officials out to try and figure this out. Alberto is leaving with the belt.




This was likely taped for 3/16/17:

- Cody attacks Moose with a chair on the way to the ring for his match with Eli Drake, then gives him crossroads on the stage. Eli Drake vs Moose does not happen.

- Cody vs Moose for the Grand Championship up now, this is the final match at the taping. Cody accidentally hit a judge and the judge is incapacitated. Bruce Prichard is out and he will be the 3rd judge. Round 1 has been awarded to Moose. Round 2 has been awarded to Cody. Brandi walks out on Cody before the start of Round 3. Moose wins by split decision

From the looks of the first taping, the only thing worth watching is el Patron. Sure he shouldn't have won the Impact Wrestling Title on his first night, should have build the title match up for a month away, but i always liked el Patron, so I'll enjoy him being in Impact Wrestling. Looks like most of the signings Jarrett makes will come from GFW. I would not have had DCC lose to Reno Scum, but then again Jessie Godderz did beat up Kingston and Bram by himself, so they've been through worse. I would not have had Laredo Kid and Garza Jr team up. They were better suited in the X Division 4 way match. I'm not truly convinced they'll air the Dutch Mantell segment, but i could be wrong. I did also hear that Magnus and Matt Morgan signed with TNA. Bruce Prichard acting like the new authority figure (i think), sounds bad, i would have had Jarrett in instead. Ill see where the upcoming weeks comes along before fully judging, but so far Impact Wrestling sounds eh

This time, it looks like an actual reboot of TNA, erm, i mean Impact Wrestling, which i actually like that the company will now be Impact Wrestling, it would have been the name i would have used if i were in charge. I wish them luck on their reboot. My opinion after reading this set, and last nights set (which ill post later on), the shows look eh at best with only a couple of storylines and characters being interesting

I updated the first post with spoilers for March 16 and 23. The shows still look meh, but i marked the f*** out for LAXs return. Sucks that Hernandez is not part of it. Kingston should really be a part of this group. Yes, i was an Outlaws Inc mark, but its better than what they're doing with Kingston currently. Not a fan of the title being returned to Lashley. I would have just held up the title like they would in the 90s due to the controversy. So the Authority figures now are Bruce Prichard, Dutch Mantell and Karen Jarrett (maybe a knock off Championship Committee?). Hopefully they dont make authority figures a big part of the storylines in the future. The f*** is it with giving Earl f***ing Hebner and Josh f***ing Matthews gimmicks? This is the only thing so far ill s*** on Impact Wrestling for. I like that ODB, Santana Garrett are being used. Hopefully in the future Santana gets a run with the Knockouts title. TNA just won't give up on the Suicide character lol. It looks like Reno Scum and LAX will face each other for the belts in the next tapings.

Apparently Del Rio (I just hate the Patron name) wasn't even TNA's first choice. I've heard that Galloway was the original wrestler planned for that spot. With him gone, they tried to bring back Bully Ray, which obviously fell through. And there was also apparently a third name, considered, before they finally went with Del Rio.
