tbh, i don't like madison rayne in the ring and especially on commentary. give me don callis back instead of saving him for ppv's. Dude...this. I have loved Dons commentary since ECW. He’s like Heyman as a commentator, he’s very underrated the younger part of me made me HATE cyrus the virus back then, but man do i love don callis nowadays haha. he entertains tf out of me.

LOL I totally get it, he was a great heel and genuinely unlikable haha. I really started to like him because of his commentary, otherwise I was right there with you. I remember Bubba Ray calling somebody a fat bald MF’er and Cyrus goes “how did he know his name?” Lol, iv been a fan since

i was doubtful of the ace austin hype before watching slammiversary but i totally get the aj comparison, and i really like him. small personal preference, but i hope he loses the purple hair/scene look when he is fully elevated to his rightful main event spot.

My only complaint with slammiversary was Ace should have won in the main event. They could have instantly made him important to new fans coming back

Matthews reminds me of a young Vince McMahon on commentary, which is good haha. He has that same voice and announce style. I gotta look up his podcast. He’s one of those guys that’s always good on commentary but he’s never really had the spotlight on a major stage so people don’t think of him. He’s always great though wherever he goes

It’s accessible so if you wanted to tune in, you aren’t boxed out or watching in a way that isn’t helpful to the company

Lashley should have stayed at Impact. Even from the outside looking in, he seemed like a bigger star with Impact

He’s always great though wherever he goes i've never actually made that comparison before but now that it's been pointed out, i totally get it, haha. for the longest time i couldn't stand him, especially when he was doing obnoxious heel commentary. but, i feel like he's found his groove now. callis plays a good counter-role to josh that helps him out even more which is another reason why i'd keep those two as the set commentary team. matthews is good at play-by-play, while callis has a unique personality in that even though he's helping run the company, he doesn't come off as completely biased and can play heel, face, or tweener in any match depending on what's going on/who's in the match.

Lashley should have stayed at Impact. Even from the outside looking in, he seemed like a bigger star with Impact WWE couldve given the fans a Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar PPV match and instead they gave us... a feud with Sami Zayn and that infamous skit with Lashley's "sisters".

nitpicking here, but i'd be more down with edwards if he had kind've a hybrid style of his attires instead of looking straight up indy. lose the shirt, but don't wear the wolves chest paint. replace the sneakers with boots or kickpads and keep the current half denim tights style.

I genuinely believe it takes 2 good commentators for either to be good. Even JR, if you listen to his WCW stuff, he’s almost unbearable haha. It’s his WWF stuff when he was paired with Lawler that he really hit his stride because he had somebody to play the straight guy against. Matthews and Don have that same vibe.

I just think he looks like some dude that wrestles on the weekend at his local indy. Not sure what was wrong with his old look

Even from the outside looking in, he seemed like a bigger star with Impact I remember kinda keeping tabs on his run and he was killing it with the world title run they gave him Same. I wasn’t watching but kept seeing him in highlights or what have you and he always seemed like he was moving upwards Lashley should have stayed at Impact. Even from the outside looking in, he seemed like a bigger star with Impact WWE couldve given the fans a Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar PPV match and instead they gave us... a feud with Sami Zayn and that infamous skit with Lashley's "sisters". WWE has to always bury you first, then they can say they made you a star. If they would just once run with a hot iron instead of putting it out, only to try and re heat it...they may stop losing ratings
