RIP George Steele. Met him a few years ago. Really sucks that all my childhood favourites are passing away one by one.

^Thanks for posting. I might go to this one. I've met him twice before but never got a picture with him yet, so I'll probably get that done there and I'll see if there's anything I could get signed. RIP George Steele My dad and I met him a few years ago at a book signing in Michigan, and the experience with him was great. For those who don't remember, my dad and I actually ran into George at the parking lot of the bookstore. We walk with him to the store and tell him that we came from Toronto to meet him. During the Q&A session, George pointed to us and yelled: "see those two?! Those guys came all the way from Toronto!". In response, everyone who attended the event applauded. George was a very nice guy when I met him and appreciated us coming out to meet him. I wanted to meet him again at the Hamilton Comic Con a few years ago, but he no showed. It sucks, but I'm glad to have met him once. RIP. |
