Well, I had my draft with 12 of my friends today. We get together, eat pizza, drink beer, and bash the hell out of each other.
I swapped the #7 pick in the first round, and 2nd round, for the #3 pick in the first and second round.
My team ended up being:
QB - Peyton Manning QB - Steve McNair RB - Curtis Martin RB - J.J. Arrington RB - Larry Johnson WR - Nate Burleson WR - Larry Fitzgerald WR - Ashley Lelie Flex - Ricky Williams TE - Daniel Graham TE - Matt Schobel K - Sebastian Janikowski K - Mike Nugent D - Buffalo Bills D - Chicago Bears
I missed out on the elite tight ends, because someone jumped the gun on them early, and a few others panicked. My running backs are decent, but I expect Arrington to do well, and Larry Johnson could possibly end up being very valuable. Ricky Williams...well, you never know. There was nobody else out there worth having really, so I figured why not.

qb: manning is obviously elite at the position(i prefer culpepper fantasy wise, but its close). steve mcnair was a sleeper for me this year, because norm chow is gonna take advantage of his skills. A+
rb: how many do you start? if you start 3, i'd be concerned about the #3 role, atleast until ricky williams comes off suspension. curtis martin is a top tier fantasy back, and jj arrington should have a solid year. once williams comes back in week 5, and/or larry takes over the starting job in kc, this rating will jump up a lot. C
te: i like daniel graham as a possession receiver, i just fear that he won't get the red zone catches(that will probably go to ben watson). you could do worse than matt schobel as a 2nd TE, i liked him and marc campbell as your token honkey TE sleepers this year. C+
wr: a lot of potential in this unit. burleson should catch ninety balls, lelie is the best deep threat in football, and larry fitzgerald could/should break out. in other words, your starters are rock solid. A+
k: i have mike nugent in a few of my leagues, i like his potential to put a lot of points on the board. im not a fan of multiple kickers, depending on the roster set up, so i wont factor in janikowski. B+
defense: you got 2 top 5 fantasy defenses... buffalo is #2 in my book, chicago is #3 or #4. great job there. A+

We are required to have 2 QB, 3 RB, 3 WR, 1 flex, 2 TE, 2 K, and 2 D on our roster. We start: 1 QB 2 RB 2 WR (or 1 RB and 3 WR) 1 TE 1 K 1 D So my starting lineup right now looks like: Manning Martin Arrington Burleson Fitzgerald Graham Janikowski Buffalo

Manning is about as good as you can get quarterback wise... I would expect a dropoff, but 4000 yards, 30 TD is not hard to expect. McNair is a very good backup.
Martin cannot be expected to have a similar year to last season... although he should have another solid season. Good starter... Arrington is a decent #2.
Wide recievers look good... Burleson should pick up the slack from the moss trade... Fitz is a solid 2, Lelie is good for a 3.
Ricky is a risk, but a risk I have taken in many of my leagues....
Kickers are solid... don't know why people take two kickers, I usually stick with one.
Two great defenses.
Tight end is your major weakness.

As far as Ricky, I felt it was a chance worth taking, as there is nobody out there worth bothering with. I am weak at tight end, unfortunately, some douchebag starting taking tight ends in the 3rd round, and started a panic, causing most of the top tier tight ends to get taken earlier than they should have. I decided to go against the grain, and get better skill positions, while these guys wasted early picks on tight ends. I just missed Crumpler, and once I did, I decided I wasn't going to worry too much about that position. Plus, there is always a sleeper every year at that postion that I can most likely claim off the waiver wire.

if youre looking for te sleepers who may have not been drafted, watch out for ben troupe of tennessee and jeb putzier of denver.

Doug Jolley is another. Probably not as much as the other two, but I think Jolley could catch 55 balls.

Dan Graham might have a big year for the Pats, who knows. He makes plays but he has a tendency to drop balls, if Ben Watson who is supposed to be a top TE prospect gets hurt or is slow then Graham is a great pick

doug jolley is definitely good too, walls. picked him up in a few of my leagues, because new jets OC mike heimerdinger loves to throw to tight ends, and chris baker isnt much of a receiver.
in that case TRW, i'd stick with schobel. worst case scenario, he catches about 25 balls and 2 or 3 td's... to be honest, you cant expect much more out of a 2nd TE, unless youre one of those fools who stretches on TE's

I just read that Jolley got demoted to #2 behind Chris Baker.
I am just going to stick with the TE I have for the moment, and watch the waiver wire closely to see if anyone jumps out.

yeah, baker will start and play in 1-TE sets. but mike heimerdinger's offense runs primarily out of 2-TE i-formation, and since chris baker can't catch worth a damn, doug jolley will be the main threat from that position for Pennington
that said, i do think your TEs are solid enough. people tend to overvalue tight ends... you've got 3 good wr's in 3 good situations, thats enough to win in the passing game
