There's a new music venue opening up in my town, first gigs announced are While She Sleeps and Dragonforce. I checked out While She Sleeps to see if I'd wanna go and I'm into them so I'm going. Dragonforce I'm undecided on as I'm not really a fan and like everyone else only knows fire and flames, but I'll probably go for the bants seeing as it's literally down the road from me.

Saw Vukovi in Newcastle this past Friday night. Got to be my favourite gig I've been to. I think the intimate venue really helps because you feel like you're right in with them, instead of lost in a huge arena. Kinda weird when during other acts and after the show, band members can just walk by you without being hassled. Could you imagine someone like Beyonce doing that? Going for a beer and chatting with fans afterward?
Anyway, after the show I got to chat to Jason their guitarist for a bit and he's super cool. Then met Janine the singer and that was awesome too.

Anyone else going to Green Day in Belfast next month? Thinking of also getting tickets to see The Maine in Manchester in September as they'll be playing the week I move there. I've seen The Maine twice now, they put on a great show.

I've seen The Maine twice now, they put on a great show. I only started listening to them when American Candy came out. I've gotten really into their previous albums, plus Lovely Little Lonely is fantastic. They're pretty underrated in my opinion.

Got tickets for Katy Perry for next year. Feeling pretty wary ordering tickets with all that's going on at the minute, just gonna take it a day at a time I guess

The Vukovi gig I was at a couple of weeks ago was just days after the Manchester attack. But even though the venue was tiny (30 odd people there, if that) I was thinking about that whilst waiting outside. It was a Friday night in the middle of a reasonably busy area with a stag party meandering around. You can't help but wonder "what if something happened right now?" But we can't let these people dictate the way we live our lives. We'll go to gigs, wrestling shows and events because we love it. To trap yourself in your room, well, you may as well be dead anyway.

That last bit, I enjoyed that. Never really thought of it that way, very true though

Bringing this old thread back to life - Going to see Sorority Noise and The Wonder Years next month in Manchester. Hella stoked for this, Sorority Noise have been my favourite band this last year and it may be my last chance to see them before they go on their hiatus later this year. The Wonder Years will be sick too.

The Wonder Years will be sick too. Ended up not going to this after SN pulled out due to the allegations made against their frontman Cameron Boucher. Been talking to a friend of mine about going to Slam Dunk next year though so that'll be fun! I'd love to go this year but don't think I can afford it right now unfortunately.
