I know UFC 199 just ended a few hours ago, and UFC 200 is more than a month away. But holy hell is there already a crapload of things worth talking about! Brock ing Lesnar, Jones/Cormier, Tate/Nunes, Valesquez/Brown, Aldo/Edgar, Cat Zingano's return, even Sage Northcutt (sorry I like the dude), and so much more. Ariel Helwani's firing too. I mean wtf! What a terrible time to be blacklisted from UFC events for life. This event doesn't need Connor McGregor. Serves him right for trying to hold up the entire company in spite of being the highest paid fighter after a loss, getting an immediate rematch, and getting the main event spot of the biggest MMA event ever. Let it rip folks!

I cannot freaking wait! The card is stacked, top to bottom. It sounds as though Brock's deal is a one fight only thing though, which is a shame (a third fight with Mir would have been great).
This thing with Ariel Helwani is strange... unless he was specifically told NOT to say anything about the Brock and McGregor/Diaz 2 fights?

199 was the show of the year but 200 is going to be insane. Can't wait to watch it.

Hmm... I'm not so sure - it's a dangerous fight for sure, but I do think it's winnable for Brock. Should be fun!

I'd delete it Well I never said I've illegally watched any either. I edited the post slightly, but you quoted it, so it doesn't even matter. And if I did watch by any other means, which I'm not saying I have or that I support, I can say it wouldn't be me getting them, as I don't care enough about MMA anymore to give that kind of effort. I do know friends who do those types of things though.

Official UFC statement:
Following a conversation with the editorial team at SB Nation, UFC will not prevent MMAFighting.com from receiving media credentials to cover live UFC events. We respect the role the media plays in our sport and beyond, including MMAFighting’s ability to report news. However, in our opinion, we believe the recurring tactics used by its lead reporter extended beyond the purpose of journalism. We feel confident our position has now been adequately communicated to the SB Nation editorial team.
UFC’s goal as the world’s leading mixed martial arts promotion is to cultivate interest in its world-class athletes and events, and deliver for the fans. We will continue to introduce this sport and its athletes to new fans across the world, and we will do so by working alongside media across all platforms.
Hmmm...

They basically want to control MMA media. I think they knew they got in a crap storm yesterday all over ESPN, so gave Ariel his credentials back. You think the NFL likes it when Talib gets shot in his leg and it is reported? Hell no! But they don't go take a guys credentials away and ban him for doing his job.

Good to see Helwani get his credentials back. The UFC overreacted to the news before hand.

Lifetime ban = 36 hours apparently lol
I think Brock has a chance of beating Hunt, honestly. It's definitely an interesting fight, but I think Brock will once again prove all the doubters wrong. The same people who said he wouldn't beat Mir, Couture, Herring, & Carwin are likely the same ones doubting him against Hunt.

And my concern is Hunt obviously knows that. He'll see him coming. I really want Brock to win. I'd hate to see him lose another UFC fight. And it would also have an adverse effect on his WWE persona. A lot of his mystique would definitely be dissipated at Summerslam if he comes off a knockout loss one month prior.

I love Mark Hunt... seriously, the guy is one of my favourite fighters. But I'm pulling for Brock here too... partly because Hunt is near the end of his career and a loss won't really hurt him (...dude's a legend), and partly because Brock winning will make things very exciting... and interesting - would he fight again? Would he be allowed (by WWE) to fight again? Would the UFC try and poach him/buy out his contract?
Plus there seem to be a lot of MMA snobs out there who think Brock has no place in the sport and just can't wait for him to lose/get KO'd. So as much as I love Hunt, I'm hoping Brock will be able to get a big take-down, then g'n'p his way to victory.

Sorry guys. Hunt over Lesnar anyday. One of my top 3 favorite fighters of all time.
For anyone wondering
1.Cro Cop 2.Mark Hunt 3.Hendo
I really don't see how Lesnar wins this. Call me an MMA snob, that's fine ( I am, definitely not a stupid Sherdog-ger though).
