Nice to see some familiar faces still kicking around. If I thought I could stay for more than one RP, I'd have came back a while ago as I have a few ideas in my head. I'm just a lazy person.
Just reread my Stan McMann stuff last night out of boredom. Man was that stupid.

Results will be up tomorrow. I think Drakz and myself can admit to dropping the ball on this one but the holidays are a terrible time for a show. We'll get this show out of the way and get back to a decent schedule in the new year. Sorry guys.

So, I'm back home now, albeit slightly dazed and confused after a 26 hour journey followed by a 25 hour sleep (a new record for me by about 10 hours).

Has anyone's mood ever clashed so heavily with their character direction that they cannot, in good conscience, continue on with the loose threads they've established, given their dwindling real life grip on their Team No-Head-In-The-Oven membership card, and if so, would you recommend a hard reset/retcon for the sake of keeping the character going in the face of adversity off screen?

I liked Romper Stomper. I did too, but it wasn't exactly admirable subject matter. Whenever I think of that movie, I always think back to high school. There was this kid that saw American History X and decided he was a Nazi skin, and it (rightfully) made his life a living hell. Kid got jumped pretty much on the daily, but he always stood steadfast until like right before we graduated when he had a come to God moment or whatever (which I think was really just too many beatings from my boy Levi). Anyway, LiveJournal was all the social media rage at the time, and this kid's bit got infiltrated non stop. He made a post once about going to Blockbuster with his girlfriend, and she wouldn't let him rent Romper Stomper. Someone commented anonymously, to the effect of "that's because you're a fake ass wannabe Nazi who needs to live vicariously through Russell Crowe". That's what always lands with me when that movie pops back into my frontal lobe. Always makes me laugh. |
