What would you do?

I'm relatively new to this site. I've mainly lurked in the Wrestling Figure Talk: Other Brands forum. In there, I posted a question as to whether or not a Mr. Pogo figure was ever made. I found out that no such figure exists. The next day, someone sent me a PM saying that they could make me the figure.

I sent him pictures of my New Japan figures because I wanted to keep the same scale. Before I even agree to pay, he sent me this picture, saying that it's an early version that needs to be cleaned up and repainted:


I kinda felt bad that he already started the figure, so I paid him the amount that he suggested, $40. He said that he would send me pictures of the progress so I could let him know if anything needed to be changed.

So I don't hear from him for two weeks. I sent him a message asking if he just took my money and ran. He sent a message back saying the figure had been shipped out.

I'm not going to say who this came from. I just want to know if I'm wrong for being a little mad about this.

I dont know where this goes.... But I can feel how you feel about that. I would NEVER EVER pay $40 dollars for that... let alone $2

I'd like to know who it was that made this. I don't see why you would feel any obligation to protect him. I guess you could ask for a refund since it's poorly made and can't even be touched. But really, I wouldn't have accepted the offer after seeing the original pic. I also wouldn't have paid near $40 for it, but since you did pay and he sent you the figure, I don't know.

i would ask for some of your money back, talk to him and say your unhappy with it
if he does nothing, definitly name him on here so he doesn't try it with anyone else

you got screwed on that deal I have seen much better customs that go for less than that on ebay let alone a figure that was supposed to be made especially for you. you need to get your money back and tell us who it is since they didnt care about even finishing the figure or how you felt about the figure

If you're not pleased with it, then you certainly shouldn't have to keep it, and should get your money back.

That is definitely not worth the $40. I too would also like the identity of the customizer, just to give a heads up to others who may buy from him.

It's not even the money that I'm concerned about. I'm just shocked that nothing really changed from that initial prototype picture he sent me. Like I said, I felt bad that he already started it, and I would have felt like a dick if I told him to forget about it. I guess I thought that it was a very very rough version of a work in progress.

Screw it, the guys name is rosson. I feel bad about outing him like this, but he really didn't live up to his end of the bargain.

I was not rude whatsoever. This is exactly what I said, "So, I haven't heard from you in about two weeks. You didn't take my money and run, did you?" Five days before I sent that, I asked him, "Did you get the money in your paypal account? Do you have any more recent pics of the figure? Thanks again." He did not reply to that message.

I think that is an appropriate response if someone says they will send you updates and you don't hear anything for two weeks.

If I were you I would get my money back and then contact a guy named gatecitysinner, he'll gladly make you a figure for a good price.

Don't worry about naming and shaming him, he blatantly stole your money. You should report him and try to get him a bad trader tag or something to stop him ripping other people off. It looks like he deliberately made it as bad and messy as possible so are you sure you didn't say something rude to him to make him do that to you?
There are experienced customisers that could make figures to order. You can see people's work on this board so you have some idea of their standard of work. I wouldn't recommend going with someone that randomly PMs you unless you know who they are, you should contact who you want to make the figure for you if you want the best available.
I feel bad for you and I hope you can get yourself a decent Mr Pogo sometime.

I don't think you can get your money back from this guy unless he's pretty cool.. which it seems like he's not. But definitely get a bad trader tag on him or something. And shop smarter in the future!

I said nothing rude or offensive whatsoever in any of the messages. I really shouldn't have paid him for it after I saw the first and only picture he sent me. But like I said, I'm too nice, I felt bad he already started it, and I honestly thought that the final product would be a lot better.

use guys in this board like gatecitysiner or titan trap or the other guys who orders you could rely on them to make a quality custom
