Anyone interested in doing a toy show thread? I'll start with one for the NJ area. Feel free to post any in your area. I hope this catches on. Sunday, Feb 7 in Wayne, NJ. 8 am to 2 pm at the Company #1 Firehouse, 97 Parish Drive. Admission is $8.00 for early birds & $4 after 9 am. Kids under 8 are free. www.waynenjtoyandcollectiblesshow.com/I've been to this show numerous times. Lots of old & new toys, loose & carded. Excellent place to find parts for customizing. If you go, try going across the street to the Wayne P.A.L. canter for their monthly indoor flea market. Admission is $1.00 and you'll never know what you'll find. www.waynepal.org/general-info/fundraising-events/flea-markets.html

Wait they charge you $8 for the Parish drive Fire house show now? Crazy. I remember going to that show and it being free. (scratch that my wife says she used to pay $2 for the two of us every time) It used to be the last or second to last Sunday every month. Then we would go across the street to the flea market at the PAL. It was great when we were first married, because we were living at the Lincoln Crossing apartments so it was 1 minute away. I think the last time we went to those shows or daughter was 2 years old. So it has been a good 15 years since I've gone to those two shows.

It's $8 for early birds (not worth it) from 8am to 9am and then $4 from 9am to 2pm. It's hit & miss. Sometimes they have amazing stuff. But like you said- the flea market at the PAL center is awesome. So much col stuff to find!

My Brother-in-law mentioned the Parsippany Chiller show to me a couple weeks ago. He is going and asked if I wanted to go seeing Estrada and Wilcox will be there and I loved Chips back in the day. Hell I am watching an episode right now on MeTV. lol

I've never been to a toy show. WHat do you usually find there? More older stuff? More newer stuff?

I've never been to a toy show. WHat do you usually find there? More older stuff? More newer stuff? Both. Toys, comics, magazines, clothing-related items, DVDs, customs, models, artwork, etc. It's mostly hit & miss, depending on how big the show is. Try this site to find one in your area: www.conventionscene.com/schedules/collectiblesconventions/Or just google "Toy shows near (insert where you live)".
