hey guys, I'll make this short & sweet. I want to read the Age of Apocalypse series, & I want to buy the trade paperbacks. can some one tell me the difference between "the complete age of apocalypse"(books 1-4) & "the age of apocalypse alpha(book 1), book 2, & book 3(omega)?
I tried researching, but had a little troubling understanding, can someone please sum up the difference perhaps please? thanks guys!

The Complete Age of Apocalypse 1-4 (which also includes the Prelude trade) was an old edition of the story while the Age of Apocalypse Alpha, Volume 2 (the name of the trade is Reign) and Omega are a much better edition and you get more stuff in individual trades. The thing is...they are not complete yet, they are still coming out you can get the 3 first volumes now, but you will have to wait until may 10 which is the date the last trade Twilight comes out. I strongly recommend you the Age of Apocalypse omnibus if you can afford it, you get everything there and you don´t need to worry about what trades you are probably missing since the omnibus has the entire epic and the book is huge.

I will most likely get the omnibus if u say that's the route to go. would def save me a hassle & I can get it all at all. I just want a complete story before I read it, so I don't miss out. thanks again! u have really helped me here

The omnibus I talked about has everything important in order but there were still some comics that are not on the omnibus, don`t worry you are not missing anything important. But if you are interested in more of the AoA timeline there is also a Age of Apocalypse companion omnibus.
