I'm new here so I thought that I would show a few of my latest work-ups. The Gooker was is just a test to see how difficult the next one will be. The paint job was quick and lacks detail. I tried to keep as much articulation as possible, and it was sculpted over a Victoria. The hands are from an OLD spider man figure, because the diva hands are way too small. The Mine was just sculpted with the left over Aves from the Gooker. It only has one arm that moves like the prototype that was supposed to be included with George Steele. I don't have a George Steele at the moment so, it looks like Sheik is getting ready to humble Mine.....just like old country. (lame joke) This place is GREAT and has allot of talent lurking around here!!!    |

Impressive. So, that Gooker is poseable? What type of Sculpey did you use?

Cahhi Oh, Yeah it's poseable. Everything but the elbows and the hip joints move. It wasn't possible to keep that articulation with this figure. It had to look like a person in a costume. I used Aves Apoxie to sculpt it. It weighs about the same a an LJN.
I think I will sculpt the next one in castaline clay, make a few cheap silicone molds, and pressure cast with resin. It will cost me more in the long run, but I have the material on hand most of the time. This one was just a test to see how much movement I could keep.

Gooker rocks and I love that mine doll, I actually did the whole mold process with resin for my mine doll when the classic george came out, the mold has went bye byes since but I sold a few dozen on ebay to recover my costs. Love your sculpting proportions. Look forward to seeing some more of your work.
