My First Custom - StingWell here it is, my first ever custom and I personally couldnt be happier with it. I understand theres always room for improvement but I think it works well. Credit to my dad for helping with the painting, anyway enjoy and feel free to offer advice, improvements etc. The first stage I combined a John Cena head with a Shawn Michaels body, im not 100% which series the Michaels is from but it worked well. The first coat of base paint was added here. This was after the 2nd coat of base paint And finally the fully covered lower half of the figure was ready for detail. But thats later... Next up was the hair, I was going for one of Stings earliest looks and i think the colour is pretty much spot on. This was the first coat for the hair. And the final coat. Onto the face paint, the white base coat was added here. And the final touches to the paint, and abit of clear up around the eyes etc Next up the blue paint was added to the boots along with white laces to add a little more detail. Also added white wrist tape. Next was the scorpion, I give all credit to my dad on this one. It was very tricky but i think it turned out great. And heres the final product, added some clear varnish which is still drying but it adds a shine to the figure and gives some authenticity. Anyway thanks all for taking some to look. Later.

Not bad for a first custom. Nice painting on the tights. It looks nice and smooth and so does the face paint but the face paint is a little sloppy. A custom skintone would have been awesome but it was only your first custom. Keep it up.

It looks decent. Needs some cleaning up cause there is paint in places there shouldn't be. Remember to take your time and even if it takes forever to get a custom done it will still be easier than trying to fix mistakes from rushing. Pretty good first fig.

what did you use to paint the face? i always use a toothpick on sting you can do cleaner lines that way.not bad for a first just take a little more time to get cleaner lines.also sting never wore boots with laces.what i do on my sting customs is just paint the laces same color as the boot and also stings boots had black soles.

Really good for your first Custom.
I would suggest taking the figure apart next time then painting all the parts, adding varnish then re-assembling the figure. This way the paint won't chip when the torso or legs are moved when changing poses
Great Job on the Figure
