The only thing that bothers me about the sting is that he has the shirt painted on. Other than that he's fine, Man he doesn't even wrestle with a shirt on. C'mon Mattel This was going to be the one I was hyped about and now I don't even want it. Damn shirt

I'll probably pickup Ziggler. Major fail on Sting. Thought it was a Jakks figure at first

This Sid headscan has the same issue as the DDP headscan in that they've based the expression off how he posed in promo photos - rather than his in-ring demeanor and the general attitude of the character.

Ive been in and out of this thread a few times, and the more times I see the Sting figure I kinda like it.
I expect to be in the minority with that haha
I display my figures and it will make a good display piece.
If i played with, figure fed etc... then yeh the painted shirt would bug me

Does Godfather have basic legs? They don't look like normal elite legs to me for some reason. It's like a DCUC T Joint ala the suited Triple H figures. Gotcha, thank you kindly.

On paper I was very excited for this set. Bad scans and weird part choices make this a steaming pile of a set. Not interested except for Bulldog. Hate those hinged t-crotch slacks on Godfather.

That's Sting's debut attire. For historical significance, I'm glad we got it. There will be plenty more to come.

Honestly the wave looks nice, I might buy 'em all. Sting's head looks so odd, but I have to get the figure. Sandow gets no love?
EDIT: Saw Sandow.

Looking at Davey, I was wondering if I ever saw him wear plain white boots in 91/92, but I found the reference image that Mattel must have used: Then I realized in 92 SummerSlam he wore them. I just always pictured the boots with half red/half blue and white trim for the 91/92 look.

wow why are people complaining about sting when it looks exactly like the reference pic mattel used? Scorpion is facing a different direction.

Why couldn't Sid just have had a normal face expression? This is what I thought when I saw it.

Does Sting suffer from the "no neck" syndrome?
I'll be really upset if that's the case....

Thanks for sharing the pics!!!!! I'm very dissapointed with Sting, why did they have to paint on a shirt that should've been an accessory you can take on and off? Makes no sense and that scan is laughable. I'll probably get the figure and swap a DM Sting head on it maybe it would look better.

I had a little more time to stew on it. Why am I so mad? They're just toys.
Yes, on that superficial level I am being silly about this. But on the other hand....
Mattel can and has done so much better, time and time again. This is such a major letdown, especially when I was anticipating these so much. I have wanted a Sid for a long time and this isn't it. The parts choices seem bad, and the unhinged psycho smile isn't translating onto plastic at all. I don't know. Guess I have been selling for a reason. Everything you lobe will reach a point where it seems stale. Maybe a few sets down the road they will blow us away.

Ziggler looks like a blonde Adam Cole. Poor part choices on him.
Sting looks great. But his face looks way too cartoonish.
Very pleased with Sid. No WWF title sucks, but he looks great.
Brittish Bulldog looks awesome. The wrist wrap isn't colored, but it isn't a major issue.
Mizdow looks great aswell.
Godfather is the gem of the set. I'm ok with the T joint, but, I wish APA had that same articulation.
