Hey guys heres a question for ya. WWF or WWE? I go WWF all the way. Im not just talking about the name either, they just seemed to have a better product back then. From the 80s all the way to the attitude era. Maby it was the competition. RIP WWF...RIP

WWF is like my ex-girlfriends and WWE is like my wife. WWF got me into Professional Sports Wrestling Entertainment, but WWE got me to love it.
WWF was great in the beginning and basically conformed exactly to my age as I was growing up. It was family entertainment when I was a kid, then the Attitude Era started when I was a teenager. Coincidentally WWE conformed to my age as well and somehow knew I had a daughter and son watching WWE TV with me. All of a sudden, the WWE is PG again, just like how it started for me, back in 1989.
I'm picking WWE.

Easily WWF. From stars like Hogan, Andre, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Roddy Piper, Undertaker, Sid, Diesel, Razor, Shawn Micheals, LOD, Demolition, Austin, Mankind, Rock, Kane, HHH, D-Generation-X.... Whats WWE given us? John Cena and Randy Orton? Who's names live up to those from WWF in the WWE reign?

Honestly, if you weren't actually watching at the time of wwf, your opinion is biased. Wwf all the way.

I never watched WWE full time until 2002 which is the same year they changed name so I'll go with WWE.

I'm a pretty big fan of both "eras" I like WWF more as a name for sure, but there have been things over the last couple years that I liked as much as the best of the 80's-AE. Truthfully the current product probably doesn't get the credit it deserves.. Sure the AE was much more "must see" TV, but the overall quality of wrestling from the RA-modern is probably better. And even though the New Generation is probably my favorite era, and had amazing high end matches, the average episode of RAW was lucky to have 1 good match and maybe a second servicable one.. Sure the episodes are longer now but I find that most episodes of Raw now have around 3-5 good matches and a chunk of serviceable ones. Beyond nostalgia, I'd say its around a draw.

Purely from a name stand point, World Wrestling Federation is the best name.

I would say WWF solely based off my rose colored goggles and the fact that WWF wasn't as convinced on selling this promotional brand and shoving what a good company they are in everyone's face. Know who always tells you they're a good person? A guy who cheats on his wife and probably commits crimes. You're usually not a good "person"(companies are people in the US) if you have to tell people about it.

They both have their good and bad periods
Good WWF = 1984-1991 Hulkamania Era
Bad WWF = 1992-1996 New Generation Era and 1997-2001 Attitude Era
Good WWE = 2002-2008 Ruthless Aggression Era
Bad WWE = 2009-current PG Era

I've been watching since the late 80s so I've seen all the shows when they were aired.

As soon as the F turned to an E, wrestling was dead to me Ha, I hear ya on that. I was f'in shocked when I first found out about the name change. That time period really sucked for wrestling fans. First the buyout of WCW then they have to change their name because of a bunch of f*cking pandas! Plus the fact that they put "Entertainment" in the title of the company. I mean we all know its fake but having entertainment in the title just doesnt make it feel like a wrestling 'league' like its supposed to be. I feel like im watching f*ckin Barnum & Bailey circus. I was able to stick around til about 04 though. I really liked the Bischoff era and Evolution. Plus ABA taker was kinda cool, he seemed like a real person and not a cartoon character.
