I have to admit. I am a tad impressed.


I just don't like people who talk ****. I talk a lot of s*** but only to people who deserve it. I don't completely bring down customizers who are actually making this board somewhat of what it once was. So I was just suggesting instead of putting down Rome's customs why not compliment his paintjobs. You kind of already gave him a backhanded compliment anyways saying you are the better sculptor but not a better painter.


I don't think anyone on this board should be putting down other customizers unless they seem to have a cocky attitude with their customs.

I always think back to the days of Baity, Tinyman, Tee, Chinese-Chicken, CK, Scorpio, NBT, M2K, Johnas, Quirk, KDR, etc...These kids don't have customizers like that to inspire them nowadays. Besides a handful of guys there isn't really anyone representing customizing. It is no longer looked at as an art form but more of a way to make a wrestler in a different attire for your fed. Or to make a wrestler and sell it on ebay. Thats not what it was about before.

But anyways I am impressed. I can't see all of the pictures but the ones I did see aren't bad at all.

I wish you would post more customs though, instead of trying to belittle other customizers. Because you are obviously talented.

See but you don't know the entire backround to my hatred for rome, I'm sure you remember Nobu and how just about every non customizer loved him and all the legit guys hated him, rome is to me, as Nobu was to all of you back then. Rome pisses me off because he takes no risks, all of his figures are the exact same in a sense, a real scan head of the person, some sculpting on the pecs and minor fixture to the abs, sculpted knee/elbow pads, and occasionally something like sculpted tights or kickpads. I don't recall ever seeing him even try to Mod a head, and that is what annoys me, he relies too much on what he knows he can do. Back when I customized a lot I tried full sculpts, posed figures, full head sculpts on RA figures, and so on. You say he's representing customizing, but the way I see it, hes representing all those people that do quick head swaps and paint jobs, and hes just a more talented one at that.

I don't post much responses in the customs forum, mainly because I don't like criticizing people's hard work.

Obviously you have talent, your stuff looks good, especially your Homicide. Rome is also talented. My question is why rip on his work? You are both good. Are you jealous of the response he gets? Can't you just appreciate your work while appreciating the work of others?

I am a customizer too. I try my hand at sculpting and I need a lot of improvement. If I see someone who does superior sculpting or painting to mine (as in you and Rome) I don't try to trash it, I respect it and try to learn from it to improve my own work.

reading the post above you pretty much should answer all of that. And check back to just about any of my threads, I get millions of 10/10s and omgzz ur gods aswell, I don't want that though, I want a well thought out reply, thats why sites like Fwoosh are good, they have customizers on there that will give paragraphs of responses telling you what to improve on, the best you get here is "i dun lik 0/20"

Yeah, I was typing that when you made the above response.

See, I make customs to be played with so they don't have a lot of sculpting and I try to avoid full body paint jobs as much as possible (especially around joints) to avoid chipping. So what I think are good customs end up getting ripped apart by people like you who prized full painting and sculpting over playability. For this reason I seldom post pics of my customs.

Your argument against Rome's work not being as legit of customs are yours makes mine sound like sh*t. Just because he tends not to sculpt heads like you doesn't mean his work bites.

The problem with people on these boards is that they don't criticize, they rip apart. I posted a Sean O' Haire and a Lance Storm custom a while back and I got replies like "The head doesn't work." Okay, wanna elaborate? My favorite was that I was told the ECW Lance Storm head I used for my RA Lance Storm didn't work. Lance Storm's head didn't work for Lance Storm... oh, okay. To be perfectly honest the biggest flaws with my customs are things I am well aware of (like matching skin tone) I don't need some tweener telling me so.

Everyone went ape crapover his Ricky Steamboat. When all the "real customizers" just kind of looked at it and said, what's so special? The guy was clever though. He knew colorful fix-ups with a lot of added accessories would make people go CRAZY over his work.

I just know that the customs board needs guys like you, rome, raoul the great, bartman, HBK and a couple of others I can't think of right now.

The Dr. Death he made was phenomenal. The pecs were a bit odd where they crease but everything else was amazing. The paintjob, the robe, etc. Very talented guy.

I can't comment too much because I don't watch wrestling, so I can't tell you if the attires are correct or what. However, I can say that all of the painting is so smooth, it's amazing. The tattoo work on Punk is awesome, I don't know how you're able to do such fine detail. Some of these are so good I'm unable to tell what you painted and what was factory made. The shorts on London are so clean, as are all the designs. I'm a huge fan of your work and I'm always glad to see a new post from you because I know that while I enjoy your work, at the same time it makes me sad for you are superior to me. So, I love you, and I hate you. Thanks for the advise on Super Sculpey too buddy.

hey dude they are sweet can you tell me what you use to make your heads because i want to get hold of some it looks like wax or something but that punk i was abit iffy on because the painting did kinda look sloppy i know you said you weren't a very good painter but you could still try and improve on that and they would look awesome man also the super dragon again not to good it looks a little ruff try to smooth your painting the mask i will have to say bravo man it was good and you didn't just stick a bit of paper like alot of people do which so botches the whole concept. and the rough roh punk not to keen on but again painting but you are amazing and well keep up your awesome work man

imo famous j and rome are the BEST customizers on this board and i have saw great customs on here.my question is why you would want to rip on rome?i have had him email me back after every question i have asked as quickly as possible.he's a great guy and has no problem answering any questions you ask of him.

Much respect for those customs, killer job sculpting. Painting could be smoother, but if your pulling 100 bucks a pop, then i dont suppose it matters. The AJ is my favorite of the bunch.

Wow, very impressive stuff here. I really don't have any complaints about any of them, everything just seems very accurate. Great job on the modding, especially with that Paul London.

You wanna see my last thread? I think I rate myself perfectly, I know where I can improve and know what I'm good at, I don't really have to restate why I don't like Rome. He was the one who pouted and cried like a baby and left the board when he wasn't getting all 10/10s!11!, so think before you accuse me
