I really hope the Phillies lose 100+ games this year, just so this stupid ing front office runs out of excuses to keep that stupid of a GM around.

Marte Party round III!
You know what would be lovely? If Marte doesn't cool off. It's filthy what he's managed to do in the first two weeks. Ridiculous. And I love it.

Mike Leake is a free agent after this season. Nats need a 5th starter once we lose Fister and Zimmermann. Just sayin'.

A-Rod has been awesome. The Yankees looked a lot better this weekend, and even Tanaka was good on Saturday. These 4 games in Detroit will be tough as always though, I'm sure. Yanks are usually ok against Detroit in the regular season, but they always maul us in the Playoffs. It'll be nice to not have to see Verlander (DL) or Porcello (Red Sox), though.
Probables should be:
CC Sabathia vs. Alfredo SImon Nathan Eovaldi vs. Kyle Lobstein Adam Warren vs. David Price Masahiro Tanaka vs. Anibal Sanchez
I'm hoping the Yankees can take the first 2 games, because the last 2 will be tough. If they can win the first 2 games, and then maybe get lucky and split the next 2 and get out of there winning 3 out of 4, it would be awesome.

So glad the Royals/A's series is over. Hopefully everyone cools off before the play again at the end of June.

I'm watching right now and am so scared of seeing old CC tonight.

Eovaldi is the Yanks #4 starter and Warren is a long reliever in the rotation until Ivan Nova or Chris Capuano come back, but both guys would be the ace on a team like the Twins, Brewers, White Sox, Royals, Pirates, etc. The old CC was back tonight.

So glad the Royals/A's series is over. Hopefully everyone cools off before the play again at the end of June. Agreed. In light of all the drama, the three games were all competitive and hopefully they move past everything to just play the game. wouldn't hurt if the A's can take two out of three when the royals come to town.

I like the competitive drive he has, but, he doesn't need to be so aggressive at the plate cause he's swinging at a bunch of junk.

Was at the game Saturday and everyone in the ballpark knew Lawrie was getting hit sometime in the game. The umps could have done a better job of controlling the game on Sunday, but they let it get way out of hand by not throwing out Kazmir when he hit Cain and then giving out warnings to both teams and then throwing out the Royals coaches for asking why they were being warned for something the A's did.

The ejections did seem premature. I don't think Kazmir shouldn't have been tossed as I thought that wasn't intentional but that may be an agree to disagree. The safe haven should have been the umpiring crew warning both teams prior to Sunday's game that it's automatic ejections for hit batters cause it side tracked an exciting back and forth series between good teams.

After mulling it over for 9 years, Bernie Williams will officially sign his retirement papers at Yankee Stadium on Friday.
