LIVE from the Moda Centre, Portland, Oregon! The Main Event!Three of the BestTugarin Zmey vs. Daniel Kirkbride vs. Joe BishopThree men, three hugely successful outings at The Clash and now these three men kick off the first non-pay per view of 2015 with one of the most exciting looking triple threat matches in recent memory. Joe Bishop is the new International Champion, Tugarin Zmey is one half of the new Tag Team Champions and Daniel Kirkbride has the Golden Opportunity to pick any match against anyone at any time. If that isn’t a trio of incredible accomplishments then we don’t know what is. Now comes the next step for all three of them, building on that momentum and turning themselves into the next big thing. This match isn’t just about winning, it’s about proving that you deserve to be the next name uttered among the likes of Drakz, Trace Demon and Phillip Schneider. Any one of them has the potential, the drive and the willingness to be one of the best, but they’ve got to go through the other two if they ever want to get close to that level. The skies the limits boy’s, no pressure now. The Shape of Things to ComeSaviors of Salvation (Joshua Dean & Dave Demento) vs. Hollywood Unhinged (Chase Landon & Jayson Garrett)One of Lila Sleater’s promises for 2015 is to revitalise the tag team division, and with the belts changing hands at The Clash there seems no time like the present to start making good on that promise. This match sees former champs Chase Landon & Jayson Garrett take on a pair of men who have always been team mates but until now haven’t aligned themselves in tag team action. Dean and Demento have told Sleater they want a Tag Team Title shot, but like all things in the WFWF this has to be earned, and what better way to do so than facing off against the very men who only just lost the belts and are looking for a title match of their own. This match runs deeper than simply deciding who gets the shot though. Cast your minds back to a number of weeks ago and you may remember a certain “Odd Couple” drilling steel reinforced superkicks into the faces of Joshua Dean and Penny Shannon. No doubt this bad blood will surface here and we’ll really get to see the birth of a new and exciting tag team division in the WFWF. Champion vs. ChampionSamael Ahriman vs. Ante WhitnerHere we have a interesting champion vs. champion match up that sees current National Title holder Ante Whitner face one half of the newly crowned Tag Team Champions in Samael Ahriman. There’s no history between these two men however they both bring an intensity to the ring that was showcased in their victories at The Clash. No one really knows what to expect from this as Ante is still relatively fresh to the company and Sam is still not long back from an extended hiatus from wrestling. There’s no belts on the line however pride can be worth equally as much when you’ve been on such a tear recently. Place your bets now folks! The Homecoming MatchDiamond Jack Sabbath vs. DexTwo returning superstars take on one another in a highly anticipated match here. Dex hasn’t been seen or heard from since his mauling at the hands of one Phillip Schneider, however he’s had an extended period to rehab and revaluate and no doubt will be fired up, wanting to make an impact in his first match back in the WFWF. Jack Sabbath on the other hand made his own return at The Clash, having to watch as victory was snatched away from him at the hands of Daniel Kirkbride. Sabbath is going to want to prove to the fans around the world that he’s not to be dismissed, and that he really is here to not only stay, but climb the ladder to the very top rung. This is two men wanting to prove they’ve still got what it takes to achieve greatness in this business and we have no doubt it will lead to a stellar performance. Regaining What Was LostTrace Demon vs. ShapiroTrace Demon promised he would win the World Heavyweight Championship at The Clash in order to ‘save’ the WFWF. He failed. That is, undeniably, the only way to put it – failure. But in that failure something very unexpected occurred. Trace Demon wrestled a match fairly, no interference, no cheap shots, no nothing, just a straight up also undeniably excellent display of pure wrestling. If it wasn’t for Drazk’s ‘inadvertent’ use of a steel chair then we could possibly be looking at the new champion right here, but instead we’re looking at a man who has to work his way back up. His first opponent? Shapiro, who himself failed in dubious circumstances to win the National Championship at The Clash. With the National Championship race hotting up he’s got to be itching to get right back into it and get another shot at Whitner. That makes two men who both need to prove themselves to get back into their respective title hunts, the only problem is only one of them can do that in this match. National Championship Number One Contenders MatchDevilkiller vs. Axel ThornstoweDevilkiller is the longest reigning National Champion in WFWF history and at The Clash he made his return with his sights set firmly on that title once again. Having been absent from a WFWF ring for some time Devilkiller returned in brutish fashion with an attack on current champion Ante Whitner, but here in the WFWF that isn’t enough to just get you a shot at the belt. Instead Devilkiller will have to prove that he’s still got it and he’ll have to do it against a man who has to get his own momentum back after tapping out in the Golden Opportunity match at The Clash, Axel Thornstowe. The winner of this one will be named the next challenger for Ante Whitner’s National Championship, and both men want that badly. Again sorry for the delay between results and the new card going up but the first show after a PPV always takes a bit longer as we needed to speak to a lot of you to lay down the groundwork for your angles going into the next PPV. I personally think this is a nice selection of matches and I'm especially excited to read the RPs from the main event and the match between Diamond Jack Sabbath vs. Dex.
Good luck y'all

Promo Deadline: Wednesday December 21st, 2015 at 11:59 PM EST we're only doing one show this year? should be some amazing matches & segments if it takes a full year to write them Didn't Flaps take roughly that long for one show? Before my time but I've heard the rumors. And I seem to remember one time Rev and C taking so long (no offense Rev because I know you lurk, I was always late so not a dig) that Yukio decided to post his own faux results and a card to boot? Just sayin'. Not sure I'll have the time to write my match this show as normal but I'll have a promo to make up for it. Maybe The Gangsta can take a stab at match writing? Might do a couple of the newer guys some good to try it. That way it's less of a burden on us old people when something comes up, and they're not stuck trying to figure out how to help D and Trace when they need the most help and have had no prior experience. Of course, it's totally optional but, just my thoughts.

From what I can see in his bio, I couldn't have had a better opponent for DJS this time around. 'Imma dig up some Dex RPs and take a look at this, should be mega fun.

I'm gonna have to review some of the techniques of other match writers (specifically in mine and yours) and make the best of it. By the way, awesome card and pretty cool poster.
