WFWF World Heavyweight Championship Match
Drakz vs. Trace Demon
Trace Demon and Drakz. Two of the most decorated and highly rated competitors in WFWF history. Two men who have an unbelievable amount of experience between them and who have done everything, won everything and beaten everyone they possibly can. But they still don’t have a definitive answer to one particular question – which man is better. Back in 2012 the two men engaged in a bitter rivalry that ended with Trace Demon winning the WFWF International Championship from then champion Drakz… a title that Drakz won in a match with Trace in the first place. Since then the two have never truly crossed paths until Battle at the Garden when Trace Demon ‘helped’ Drakz win the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship. It didn’t take a couple of shows before Drakz would challenge Trace and was more than willing to put that title on the line in the process. Trace was quick to accept and what initially seemed to be a simple title match quickly turned physical. Drakz attacked Trace Demon, supposedly injuring his leg, whilst Trace would escalate the hostilities by putting Drakz head first through a table with the incredibly dangerous Hellfire Overdose. With still no word on Drakz’s condition going into this match there’s no knowing exactly how big an advantage Trace Demon has, particularly with the Final Revolution in the arena, or even if it will matter. What we do know is that this is going to be a match for an ages and one that only one of these hall of famers can emerge from as champion.
Can Penny Slay God?
Penny Shannon vs. Phillip Schneider
Phillip Schneider has always prided himself on being one of the most violent, vicious and brutal competitors in professional wrestling. Whether he is indeed the best can be debated but one thing that can’t is that he is one of the few who can lay claim to be the King of Gore. Of course being the big man on campus like that makes you a target in the WFWF, people want to make a name for themselves and intend to do it at your expense. Enter Penny Shannon, a woman who has not only proven that she is as tough and as violent as any man but that she’s damn well a better wrestler than most of them too. Having taken out a number of competitors in increasingly violent matches she’s now set her sights on Phillip Schneider, wanting to wrestle the King of Gore in a match forged on competitive spirit. Schneider swiftly accepted the challenge because, if his demolition of his old friend Percy proved anything, Schneider doesn’t care who he’s fighting as long as he’s making a statement. A victory for Penny Shannon will validate every step she’s taken, a victory for Schneider moves him one step closer to the WFWF World Heavyweight Championship. Either way this one’s going to be bloody, it’s going to be violent and it’s not going to be for the faint hearted.
Blazes First Wish
Death Match
Yukio Blaze vs. Josh Dean
Yukio Blaze is on his way out, his long-lasting career finally winding down. Before he goes Yukio Blaze has demanded three wishes, three final chances to ‘achieve immortality’. The first of those wishes is a match with Josh Dean, claiming he wants to make one final name in the vein of all those he ‘made’ before. Turns out Josh doesn’t quite see it that way. Josh Dean sees a broken down old man who is past his prime, a man insulting Dean’s career by claiming that he still needs to be made. Dean is already made, that much is clear to everyone. But be it the delusion that many think Yukio Blaze is known for or a very real desire to make a name for himself one more time Blaze is going to go out the only way he knows how, by fighting tooth and nail to try and make sure everybody knows that no matter what they think of him he’s still got it. Whether his first wish ends in victory or defeat might not matter in the long history of the WFWF, but it will to Yukio Blaze and, in many ways, it will to Josh Dean as well.
WFWF World Tag Team Championship Match
Hollywood Unhinged vs. Kokaine Konspiracy
When Chase Landon and Jayson Garrett, aptly dubbed Hollywood Unhinged, became the WFWF World Tag Team Champions many believed it to be the start of a new era in tag team wrestling here in the WFWF. Then Chase Landon went missing, vanishing without trace. The tag titles went undefended and, for some reason, remained around the waist of Jayson Garrett as he alone competed inside a WFWF ring. Whether he had a partner or not didn’t matter to the Kokaine Konspiracy, the formidable pairing of The Dragon Tugarin Zmey and Samael Ahriman, the pair were led straight after Garrett by the crazed midget DMK and was only saved by the surprising return of Chase Landon. Despite the tag team champions being reunited Hollywood Unhinged look more disparate than ever thanks to Landon’s apparent growing insanity and Jayson Garrett’s trouble in holding him together. Could it be this growing conflict between them that costs them the WFWF World Tag Team Championships or will they find some way to turn back the challenge of the terrifying Kokaine Konspiracy? Either way DMK is sure to be shouting at someone by the end of the match.
WFWF International Championship Match
Falls Count Anywhere
Dave Demento vs. Joe Bishop
It all began with a revolution, The Final Revolution to be precise. Joe Bishop was the first to join Trace Demon’s group, dedicated to tearing down Lila Sleater’s WFWF ‘regime’. Along the way they made a lot of enemies, including the Saviours of Salvation. Dave Demento has so far made the biggest dent in the revolution, taking the WFWF International Championship from around the waist of Joe Bishop at Battle at the Garden. Only Joe Bishop wants it back. Despite a battle of one ups-man-ship not only between the Final Revolution and the Saviours of Salvation but between Bishop and Demento neither man has really put an end to things, if anything they’ve just added more and more fuel to the fire. This isn’t just about the International Championship anymore, this is about these men trying to prove they’re better than the other, it’s about proving their group is superior than the other and most importantly it’s about beating the hell out of the other. And with no disqualifications, no count outs and the opportunity to win the match anywhere in the arena this one will have plenty of that.
WFWF National Championship Match
Ante Whitner vs. Shapiro
Black Friday brought with it the chance for a very big reward for either Shapiro or Axel Thornstowe. If one of them won their respective match then they’d immediately get a National Championship match. Neither of them won. However a clause in the stipulation stated that whoever put on the more impressive showing would gain the title match in the event that both men lost. Lila Sleater decided Shapiro was the more impressive, displaying a great deal of tenacity against World Champion Drakz. As a result he’s gained himself another shot at the National Championship and to win it all he’s got to do is go through Ante Whitner. That in itself is no easy take, Whitner has proven himself to be the fastest rising star among WFWF’s latest crop of newcomers. A win on a stage like this would continue his ascent up the card, he’s just got to go through another rising rookie to get it done.
Golden Opportunity
Diamond Jack Sabbath vs. Axel Thornstowe vs. Daniel Kirkbride
When The Clash comes to the United Kingdom it brings with it a huge opportunity for three competitors, a win here grants you a match of your choosing against anyone, anytime between now and our next pay per view. That's anyone, any place, any time. The first lucky soul is Daniel Kirkbride, who has been on an impressive run since coming to the WFWF and will know that a victory here will grant him a platform to have a match that really means something. Then there's Axel Thornstowe, a man who knows full well that he came up just short in his attempt to gain a National Championship match. That means he’s as hungry as anyone to get another shot at glory, or maybe a glory even higher. Finally you have the returning Diamond Jack Sabbath. Sabbath, a man with a great deal of success not to mention history with owner Trace Demon over in the XWA, had a brief and uneventful stint with the WFWF some time ago but now he’s coming back and he’s planning on making an immediate impact on pay per view in his home country. A win for any of these men would be huge, and who knows what match they'd choose as a result, which makes this one of the more interesting opening contests we've put on.
