NXT News of the Week (January 30-February 5, 2014)
- International talent Prince Devitt is in talks about signing with the WWE. Devitt appeared at the WWE Performance Center last week and was offered a developmental contract last week - however the Irish talent told WWE that he wanted to wait until after the next tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling to make a decision. Devitt has been on WWE's radar ever since Triple H watched a match between Devitt and PAC (now known as Adrian Neville in NXT) a few years ago. PAC was signed almost instantly afterwards. (January 31, 2014) | - In addition to the recent news of NXT ArRIVAL on February 27 being held live for two hours on the WWE Network, it has been announced through advertising that WWE Superstars John Cena, Shawn Michaels, the New Age Outlaws and Bret Hart will all be present for the live broadcast. This adds a great deal of promotion to the NXT brand, and should surely be the biggest event in its' existence. (January 30, 2014) | - Bo Dallas defeated Adrian Neville at WWE's live event in Miami, Florida on Friday night. Both talents are rumoured to be on the verge of making the move to the main roster, which could certainly put Bo's future as NXT Heavyweight Champion in question. The two worked the same match on Saturday and Sunday in the Floridan area. (February 3, 2014) | - In an update on KENTA's tryouts at the WWE Performance Center last week, he announced to Japanese media today that he does want to work for the WWE, but that he does not want to right now due to his current commitments to Pro Wrestling NOAH. Still management are optimistic that he will sign a contract by the summer. (January 30, 2014) | - In addition to being at Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown tapings, NXT Diva Emma has also been on the road with WWE personnel. She appeared in the front row at the live event in Wichita, Kansas with her 'EMMAtaining' sign during a match between Tamina Snuka and Brie Bella. (February 1, 2014) | - The creative team for the WWE main roster were present at the NXT tapings last night to take notes during the production of the show. Apparently this could be the main creative team scouting who could be the next set of NXT stars ready to move to the main roster. (January 30, 2014) | - In an update from last week, WWE reportedly came to terms of releasing NXT superstars Yoshi Tatsu, Mason Ryan and Raquel Diaz among various other personnel that work behind the scenes. The reasons for these roster cuts are linked to budget cuts, perhaps an early spring cleaning just prior to the launch of the WWE Network and the quarterly report coming up at the end of this month. | NXT PROFILE - Adrian Neville 194lbs- 5'10 - Newcastle, England Finisher - The Red Arrow x2 NXT Tag Team Champion
'The Man That Gravity Forgot' is quite the journeyman. Born in Newcastle, England Adrian Neville grew up quickly developing a taste for wrestling, and becoming a professional wrestler despite his parents' ambitions to become a soccer player. Neville made his debut in the United Kingdom in 2004, and quickly he became renowned as one of the most agile, most exciting stars throughout the world. Within the span of several years, the 'Jumping Geordie' had already made a splash in multiple promotions throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, Japan and even North America: showcasing and honing his innovative, fast-paced style not seen before - even among members of the former cruiserweight division.
Adrian Neville signed with the WWE in 2012 and shortly thereafter made his debut on NXT, dazzling and winning over more fans in the Full Sail University. Neville was so impressive, within one month of being an NXT Superstar, he had already become the inaugural NXT Tag Team Champion alongside fellow Brit, Oliver Grey. Neville and Grey, collectively known as the British Ambition together were an exciting tag team, mixing up technical and agile abilities to create an unbeatable team - that is however, until Oliver Grey fell to an injury, and soonafter Neville lost the Tag titles.
But who would answer the call and come to Neville's aid? None other than Corey Graves - the 'Savior of Misbehavior'. The unlikeliest team won the NXT Tag Team Championships back, giving Neville his second reign as NXT Tag Team Champion: all within the span of six months as an NXT Superstar. The team were impressive in defeating teams such as Erick Rowan & Luke Harper, Hunico & Camacho and the Ascension, Konnor & Viktor. However in recent times, the two allies have allowed their egos to grow and are beginning to clash: all about who the best is.
But one thing is known for sure about Adrian Neville: he is fast, hard-hitting, and outstandingly unpredictable in the squared circle. A future candidate to be a breakout star in NXT and in the WWE - the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' aims to be the best Superstar around during this tenure of his WWE career. |

NXT
- CJ Parker is a heat magnet, you seem to be a fan of Cassady and your doing a fine job of getting him over. Breeze is out for revenge and his attack of Enzo is a good way of getting heat back on Breeze.
- Enjoying the issues between Neville & Graves, this is being booked well
- Good simple win for Cesaro, helps establish Cesaro to new readers. Some bookers don't use this simple tactic, it's adds to someone's dominance and separates them from the pack. Good promo from Cesaro afterwards also. Highlight of the show, so far.
- Neville & Graves have come together and called a truce after being attacked by Ascension this is fine but I think I would have liked to see the trouble between Graves and Neville continue a little longer but that's just me
- RUSEV CRUSH! Rusev is a smart choice, why wouldn't Bo pick Rusev it's the obvious choice and I'm glad you went with it. Main Event was a good match and both men were kept strong. Ohno/Bo is building well plus we have a big match signed for next week also.
Enjoyed the show, keep them coming plus cast your eye over TNA77 if you haven't already!

Before diving into the show, I'd like to point out that the idea of doing Superstar profiles is pretty cool. Onto Episode 206. I won't lie, CJ Parker and his gimmick are something that I kind of enjoy in NXT. Big Cass winning a short match over him was expected though. Enzo Amore on a scooter is hilarious to me. Dang, Tyler Breeze is cold blooded. The Neville/Grey/Graves drama continues. It intrigues me. Charlotte winning was the right move but I'm not a big fan of hers. The talent is there, but she's just so "meh" to me. I hope she gets overshadowed by the superior Sasha Banks. Emma is the "Bombshell"? Never knew that. Antonio Cesaro (keep the name) winning was clear, and the stuff with Sami Zayn continues to be very interesting. Solid win for the NXT Tag Team Champions and furthers the angle of the Champions well. I can see this leading to an Ascension title win. Solid choice for Pick Your Poison as Alexander Rusev is indeed a beast. Great main event, Rusev and Kassius Ohno both looked strong. The non-finish made sense and Dallas/Neville should be good. Another solid episode man.

Just before I start, I like the layout you have, but I think the sections could use a tiny bit more spacing. At the moment, it looks very "wall of text" like. I think if you added a line either side of each section you'd be fine. Onto the show, I'm not the best with NXT, I must admit, it's something I watch on and off so if I get anything wrong I apologise. Bo Dallas cutting a strong promo to open up, and it makes sense for him to choose the biggest, baddest guy on the roster for Ohno to go up against. I'm not a huge fan of CJ Parker's gimmick personally, I think it's a bit too bland, but I love Amore and Cass so seeing Big Cass go over here makes me happy. I've always said that I think Big Cass will be a major player in the future of the WWE. There haven't been many big guys that can actually wrestle and move like he can since Undertaker and Kane. Tyler Breeze is another face who will go far. Interesting to see him target Amore here. Dissension between Graves and Neville makes sense, they're polar opposites. Big fan of Charlotte, a great wrestler. Good to see her winning here on NXT, she and Paige are probably two of the best to come from the show. Cesaro going over is obvious here, and I like that his rivalry with Sami Zayn is in this diary, it was truly brilliant. I'd like to see Zayn come out on top this time though to see where it takes him. Big victory for the NXT Tag Team Champions only to be taken out by the Ascension who MUST win the titles at NXT ArRIVAL because they are a phenomenal team. The disqualification finish to the show was definitely necessary to keep Rusev strong here but keep Ohno without the loss. Bo Dallas taking on Adrian Neville should be a great match, as seen in real life. A good edition of NXT to build towards ArRIVAL.

| WWE NXT: Wednesday 5th February 2014 - Winter Park, FL - Full Sail University - Aired on WWE.com (#207) [#WWENXT] | INTRODUCTION - The opening graphic aired, introducing this week's edition of NXT featuring WWE Superstars of the past and present. A video package followed, taking us back to last week where the Pick Your Poison series began with NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas making Kassius Ohno take on Alexander Rusev in what was a barnburner of a match. The 'Knockout Kid' would take the 'Bulgarian Brute' to the limit before claiming victory via count-out. After the match, the yellow belly champion Dallas would attempt to jump the number one contender, but Ohno managed to take him out with the K.O Smash. Ohno then declared that Bo's Pick Your Poison opponent for tonight - one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville. The opening video package for NXT aired, as we cut to the Full Sail University where Byron Saxton, Tom Philips and Jason Albert welcomed us to the show, advertising Bo Dallas taking on Adrian Neville in Pick Your Poison; Paige, Emma and Bayley taking on Summer Rae, Sasha Banks and Charlotte in six-Diva tag team action; plus, Tyson Kidd against Tyler Breeze and Sami Zayn both scheduled for action tonight!
| NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION PAIGE, EMMA & BAYLEY vs SUMMER RAE, SASHA BANKS & CHARLOTTE With so much going on over the past couple of weeks in the Divas division in NXT, this match was set up by NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield in an attempt to resolve some of them - it was three weeks ago on NXT where Paige and Emma were in the midst of a fantastic battle for the NXT Women's Championship when the BFFs interfered, with Summer Rae showing further intent to claim the title; meanwhile, Bayley was stabbed in the back two weeks ago by her former friend Charlotte; the second generation Charlotte siding with the BFFs. Tonight, it was six-Diva tag action, and it was fierce as the match opened with all six women brawling in the ring before business escalated and broke down to Paige and Summer Rae. The other four Divas aligned on the apron in their separate corner as Paige was getting the better of her long-term enemy; the 'Anti-Diva' initially cornering Rae as Emma was tagged in; and the two fan favourites proceeded to deliver chops to Summer in revenge from several weeks ago. Emma continued to have her way with Summer until Rae fired out of the corner with a big boot, the long legged blonde roughing Emma up and then tagging in Sasha Banks. The BFFs began to womanhandle the Australian, Sasha repeatedly mocking Emma and slapping her around. Then came Charlotte, who had Emma in an abdominal stretch; Bayley clearly wanting in the match.
Charlotte repeatedly used Summer and Sasha for added leverage, but once referee Shawn Bennett realized finally, he broke the hold and Emma fired back, the Emma-mite Sandwich for Charlotte! Emma struggled, but after being down for several moments, she got the tag and in came Bayley. The fun-loving kid took down Charlotte several times as Sasha Banks came in, but Bayley quickly took her down with a Japanese armdrag. Bayley was rolling when she made the rookie mistake of going after the daughter of Ric Flair again; her former friend - which allowed Summer and Sasha to take advantage with a double backdrop! The BFFs were once again in control of cornering Bayley, as she sustained a beating similar to Emma's, as Paige motioned that she wanted into this match, the Full Sail crowd behind Bayley. And Bayley finally got it, the rookie Diva nailing Summer with a big enzuigiri, and the tag was made to Paige! Paige hit the ring, but so did Emma, and just like that the action broke down to all six Divas colliding! The BFFs and the NXT Divas with big problems to settle with one another brawled around ringside; the fight coming down to Paige and Summer. The 'Anti-Diva' was getting Rae set up for the Paige Turner, but Emma tagged herself in! After moments of arguing between Paige and Emma, Summer with the Summer Crush as Sasha distracted Paige with some strikes; and Summer Rae pinned Emma to win the battle at 8:17. WINNERS: SUMMER RAE, SASHA BANKS & CHARLOTTE (**1/4)
The NXT Universe booed as Summer Rae's hand was raised in victory, as she was joined by fellow BFFs, Sasha Banks and Charlotte. The trio of the BFFs were victorious tonight, as the NXT Women's Champion Paige watched on from ringside whilst the BFFs stood tall over her friend Emma, Summer Rae taking a microphone from ring announcer Eden. Summer told Paige that she just beat the number one contender to her NXT Women's Championship. She asked Paige where her shot was, as Paige backed up the rampway, the BFFs staring the 'Anti-Diva' down.
| THE RIDE OUT OF CUTESVILLE - In a WWE.com exclusive from last week, Devin Taylor caught up with 'Prince Pretty' last week after Tyler Breeze previously assaulted an already crippled Enzo Amore, causing Colin Cassady to get very, very angry. Taylor asked what drove Tyler to do what he did. Breeze simply told Devin that he doesn't need to answer that, but he will because 'Big Cass' thinks he can humiliate him and get one-up on 'Prince Pretty' - but Breeze showed him. At that point, Breeze quickly got into his car and drove away from the Full Sail University, apparently to make a getaway from Colin Cassady.
| EH, HE'S ALRIGHT! - We cut to the interview section backstage, as Devin Taylor was shown standing by with Colin Cassady and a mobility scooter bound Enzo Amore. Taylor asked for an update on Enzo's condition, as Amore said that he was feeling a little shaken up, but he's alright now. Amore then called Tyler Breeze as a square, saying that he has a "Napstar" complex going on and he doesn't like the way he's treating 'Big Cass'. Amore said that he's hurt but he ain't crippled for good, and you can't teach that. 'Big Cass' then chimed in talking about how he handled Breeze twice, not once - and he won't stop now until he ruins the pretty little face of 'Prince Pretty'. Cass said that if Breeze is 'Prince Pretty', that makes him 'King Kute', and he's not feeling very pretty right now. Cassady told Breeze that he will get his hands on him and avenge Enzo. Amore then commented on how he liked what he said about being 'King Kute' before Cass told him to shut up, walking away with Enzo in pursuit.
| BARON CORBIN def. CAL BISHOP - Two weeks ago, we witnessed the debut of the 'Enigma' known as Baron Corbin. The 6'8 newcomer from Kansas City was successful in a devastating fashion, but tonight it was his chance to prove himself even more up against Performance Center trainee Cal Bishop, who looked absolutely terrified of the much larger Corbin. Baron grinned as he made his way to the ring methodically, and just like that the bell rang. Cal Bishop in a desperation move charged at Baron, but ran right into the waiting arms of the 'Enigma', who picked him up and catapulted him on his face with a reverse STO dubbed by the announce team, the 'End of Days', to pick up the win in 0:07! (n/a)
The NXT audience were amazed by the presence of Baron Corbin, who had just defeated Cal Bishop in what could have been the shortest match in NXT's history! Baron's hand was raised in victory, as the 'Enigma' was successful once again tonight, and the Full Sail crowd were enamored. The lights went out, and Corbin disappeared into the darkness victorious.
| THE LEGIONNAIRES ARE NOT PLEASED - In the backstage area here at NXT, Sylvester Lefort was shown accompanied by his Legionnaire associates in Alexander Rusev, Lefort talking about last week and how unsatisfied they were in Kassius Ohno. The Frenchman talked about how he was disappointed in how Kassius handled the situation, expecting better of him. Alexander Rusev chimed in, stating that the 'Knockout Kid' beat him, but he didn't beat him with dominance, but instead with cowardice. Rusev said that Oho was nothing more than a peasant, and that the next time they meet, the 'Bulgarian Brute' will brutalize Kassius Ohno - whether it be tonight, or his final night at NXT ArRIVAL...but it will happen soon enough.
| THE WWE NETWORK IS COMING! A video package aired promoting the official launch date of the WWE Network. Available on personal computers, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Smart Phones and Smart TVs; the Network will be a huge happening with 3000 3000 hours worth of video footage from their extensive library - original content such as WWE's Legends House, WWE Main Event and WWE NXT; documentaries such as the Monday Night War, Countdown and WrestleMania Rewind - and it's all available when the WWE Network launches in 33 days! The WWE Network will launch on Monday, February 24 immediately following Monday Night RAW.
| SAMI ZAYN def. WESLEY BLAKE - This was the first time we'd seen Sami Zayn since he confronted Antonio Cesaro several weeks ago in this ring, and issued a challenge to the 'Swiss Superman' just for Cesaro to shake his head and walk away. When he appeared on NXT last week, Cesaro explained that a man like Sami Zayn does not grow and does not learn from past mistakes, which is why he has chosen to turn down Zayn's challenge to a fourth match. Tonight however, Zayn was up to his usual antics, happily approaching the ring for action against Wesley Blake. Blake, the usual tag team partner of Buddy Murphy was up for a big opportunity whilst his partner is on the sidelines injured, but he was up against the world-class Sami Zayn and this proved to take a toll on the match immediately, with Zayn outwrestling Blake quickly. Zayn tried to go for the Helluva Kick quickly, but Blake managed to block it as Wesley fired back with several right hands, the larger student at the Performance Center proceeding to go after the previously injured knee of Zayn, but despite having a single legged Boston crab locked in, Zayn fought his way out of it and took Blake down with an enzuigiri. Shortly after, the Helluva Kick got the victory at 3:47. (**)
The NXT Universe applauded Sami Zayn on his victory, as Zayn raised his hand in victory following this eventful win for Zayn - his first match following him confronting Antonio Cesaro several weeks ago. Zayn continued to celebrate as Renee Young approached the ring to seek some comments from the 'Pride of NXT'.
| REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY - Renee Young approached Sami Zayn in the ring, as the female announcer wanted to get a reaction from him to what Antonio Cesaro said regarding Zayn's challenge last week. Sami told Renee that he appreciated that she wanted to get his reaction, talking about how he has been underestimated far too long. Sami said that despite what Cesaro wants to tell everybody about him, Zayn is his own man, and that he isn't a protegé to anyone, especially not the 'Swiss Superman'. Zayn said that he has toured the world, and he has fought Cesaro many of times, even before NXT - but despite his best efforts, he hasn't decisively beaten Cesaro, and he needs to do that if he wants to be the man on the mountain. Zayn said that he seeks Cesaro's respect, and what Cesaro is doing right now is depriving him of this: and this does not give him the satisfaction. Sami said that if anything, this proves Cesaro out to being a coward not wanting to prove to the world that he can beat Sami Zayn! The NXT Universe ooh'd at this, when suddenly Antonio Cesaro came storming down to the ring without music, without anything. Antonio confronted Zayn in the ring face to face, as Renee stood awkwardly behind them both, a microphone between them. Zayn asked if he could help Cesaro, as Antonio said that he is no coward and that anyone that calls him a coward must be a coward at heart.
Cesaro told Zayn to leave it alone: he's better than Zayn, and that if he wants to deny this then he can...but to remind himself of the amount of times Zayn has tried and failed to defeat him. Zayn told Cesaro that he would, but that Cesaro should remind him of how much life he took out of the weakest Swiss man alive before he barely beat him. Cesaro got even more fired up, as he told Sami that he doesn't know what Zayn wants, but he's asking for a beating right here and now. Sami urged him to, telling Antonio to prove that he can beat Zayn without wearing himself out in the process. The NXT Universe urged Cesaro further as Zayn stood with a smirk on his face. Cesaro told Zayn not to do this, to which Sami said that he will. Cesaro continued to ask what he wanted, to which Zayn responded "one more match". "You've got it!" The Full Sail Universe cheered loudly as Cesaro proceeded to nail Zayn with a huge European uppercut! The Real American then stormed out of the ring and headed to the backstage area, as Sami sat up on the canvas, Renee Young checking on Zayn - and Sami Zayn was smirking - using reverse psychology on the prideful 'Swiss Superman' to get a rematch with him!
| THE NEXT STOP IN THE ROAD - An advertisement aired, promoting the next blip on the radar en route to WrestleMania XXX: WWE Elimination Chamber, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, February 23. Headlined by six superstars in the most feared match in the history of the WWE, Randy Orton defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Antonio Cesaro, Sheamus and Christian; 'The Animal' Batista battles the 'Mexican Aristocrat' Alberto Del Rio; plus, the big encounter between the Wyatt Family and the Shield.
| TYLER BREEZE vs TYSON KIDD NEVER BEGAN - A rematch from several weeks ago, these two have already had their problems between them as Tyler Breeze repeatedly accused Tyson Kidd of being the 'biggest uggo walking the face of the WWE'. Tyson Kidd repeatedly attempted to defeat Tyler Breeze, but 'Prince Pretty' was just too good for Tyson to handle. The WWE Superstar came out to the ring ready for action with the narcissist, but just as Tyler and Tyson were scheduled to lock up, out came Colin Cassady! 'Big Cass' came running down to the ring and Tyler immediately saw him, Breeze exiting the ring and rushing away through the crowd, Cassady hot in pursuit of Tyler Breeze! The NXT Universe cheered loudly, as this match never got underway. (n/a)
Tyson Kidd was left looking around in the ring, as Tyler Breeze and Colin Cassady had completely left the Full Sail University. With that, the theme of Leo Kruger hit and out came the South-African bounty hunter! Kidd looked confused as Kruger stood under a single spotlight; Leo asking what it took for Tyson to get a win here in NXT. Leo commented on Tyson's lack of wins over the last few months, talking about how Tyson apparently scares people out of the ring now as well. Kruger called Tyson a joke, before telling Kidd that he would happily help him take the fall: all he has to do is whistle, and Leo Kruger will be there to give Tyson another loss. The NXT Universe booed, as Kidd was left vexed by the verbiage of the soft spoken South-African.
| THE NXT GENERATION - An advertisement aired promoting the upcoming live special for NXT. Entitled NXT ArRIVAL, it will be the first two hour edition of NXT and will be available live on the WWE Network for the first time ever on February 27. Headlined by the arrogant NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas defending the gold against Kassius Ohno with Ohno's career on the line - it's two out of three falls, and it takes place in 29 days. Join the NXT Generation!
| ANOTHER MATCH MADE - In the General Manager's office, NXT GM John Bradshaw Layfield was shown speaking with Summer Rae of the BFFs, as JBL asked if this would really be best for business, questioning Summer on some sort of matter. Summer told John that she defeated the number one contender to the NXT Women's Championship, why shouldn't she get this match? Layfield proceeded to tell Summer that she may be right, declaring that next week we will see Summer and Emma go face to face again, and that the winner of this match will go on to challenge Paige for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT ArRIVAL. Not the response that Summer hoped to hear, as she held her breath and told JBL that she wouldn't let him down. Layfield hoped not.
| CATCHING UP WITH BO DALLAS - In the Gorilla position getting ready to go to battle in Pick Your Poison, Devin Taylor approached Bo Dallas as he was warming up for this champion vs champion match. Dallas told Taylor that he's glad that she felt the honor in interviewing him moments before his match, because he's the NXT Heavyweight Champion and the star of the show. Dallas said that tonight he thinks Kassius Ohno thinks he has him backed against the wall, putting him against this neanderthal, Adrian Neville. Bo said that he applauds Adrian's efforts, and he's an NXT Tag Team Champion: but this is the big leagues, and he's gonna have to try real hard to knock Bo off of his pedestal. Dallas said that tonight, much like he will in three weeks to Kassius Ohno: he will prove to the world how worthless they truly are compared to the Face of NXT and NXT Heavyweight Champion: Bo Dallas. Suddenly, Bo came face to face with Neville's tag team partner Corey Graves! Corey urged Bo didn't try anything cheap out there, as Dallas comically asked if the NXT Tag Team Champions were friends again, walking away from the 'Savior of Misbehavior'.
| PICK YOUR POISON - CHAMPION VS CHAMPION [#PickYourPoison]NXT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BO DALLAS vs NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION ADRIAN NEVILLE This was it, a huge match with a lot of momentum and pride on the line between these two champions in NXT. After Kassius Ohno was victorious (albeit by disqualification) last week against Alexander Rusev in the first Pick Your Poison match, Ohno's rival for NXT ArRIVAL in three weeks Bo Dallas wanted to be even with the 'Knockout Kid' - of course, Adrian Neville also wanted to get this win to gain momentum going into NXT ArRIVAL where he and uneasy ally Corey Graves team up to defend their NXT Tag Team Championships against the Ascension. With Neville and Graves on the same side so it seemed moments ago, and Graves telling Dallas to not "do anything cheap", surely this took something away from Bo's arsenal. Dallas and Neville locked up, as Bo tried to use his arrogance as a booster, applying a side headlock on the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' - but Neville used his world class talents to outskill Dallas, taking him through a series of fast-paced chain wrestling, causing Bo to quickly evacuate the ring to the outside. Dallas obviously had to rethink his strategy, as Neville seemed trying, attempting a dive on Dallas just for Bo to keep walking the ring quickly. Neville eventually dove onto the apron causing Bo to flinch, but Neville then springboarded off of the second rope into a moonsault, but Dallas dodged it and rolled back into the ring just as Neville managed to land on his feet! Adrian raced back into the ring to stand off with Dallas causing the NXT Universe to cheer loudly for Neville. This match could be the defining moment of Neville's career so far, should he manage to knock off a win against the NXT Heavyweight Champion, and he was taking all opportunities tonight. Dallas went for a waistlock, but Neville threw him off and slapped on a side headlock on the mat, before Dallas tried to turn Neville onto his back just for the Brit to reverse it back into a headlock. Dallas managed to strike his way out of it, bouncing off the ropes just for Neville to take him down with a half-crescent kick! Dallas was down, and Neville tried to follow up with another whip into the ropes just for Dallas to take him down with a short-arm clothesline. Dallas then underhandedly stomped away aggressively at Neville before taunting the NXT Universe. Bo presented himself to the Full Sail crowd before beginning to chop away at Neville in the corner, just for Neville to fire back with a stiff forearm. Bo was one step ahead however as he kneed the Newcastle native in the gut before connecting with a shinbreaker - and a second one before connecting with a third one! Dallas was targeting the leg of Neville wisely to cut off his aerial activity. The NXT Heavyweight Champion stomped away at the leg some more, Dallas then smiling for the NXT Universe once again to boos. Bo taking his eyes off of the game may have cost him however, as Neville took him down with a drop toe hold, the 'Man That Gravity Forgot' delivering several right hands to the face of Bo!
Adrian limped to his feet, the NXT Tag Team Champion connecting with a hurricanrana to Bo, which led to Neville taking the NXT Heavyweight Champion down with a stiff kick to the torso! Bo Dallas was winded, and Adrian Neville felt like going to the top rope to fly - but as he climbed to the top slowly Bo took advantage, knocking Neville onto the top rope worked over leg-first. Dallas went up to the top rope to join his opponent, seemingly going for a superplex, and he momentarily lifted Neville above his head, but Adrian managed to rebound himself onto the top, then knocking Dallas back down to the canvas with a big knee! Neville was up top and Bo was down, Neville about to prepare the Red Arrow on the NXT Heavyweight Champion when Bo shoved referee Drake Wuertz into the ropes crotching Neville onto the bad leg once again! Dallas slowly got back to his feet and went over to the corner, connecting with the powerslam that won him the NXT title nearly nine months ago but Neville resiliently kicked out! Dallas pounded on the canvas in frustration, the NXT Heavyweight Champion wanting the win tonight, and he dragged Neville to his feet ready for the Bo-Dazzler, hooking the arms: but Adrian rolled onto Bo's shoulders, bringing him back to the canvas with a snap hurricanrana reversal! Bo was dropped on his head as Neville hooked the legs for the cover, but Bo turned it into a sunset flip at two, and then Neville switched it to a rolling clutch for two, when Bo broke out of it and rolled Adrian up with the tights for two! Neville meanwhile took Dallas' head off of his shoulders with a shining wizard! Neville covered, but at two he was suddenly jumped by Konnor and Viktor of the Ascension! This prompted Drake Wuertz to call for the bell at 11:20! WINNER BY DISQUALIFICATION: NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION ADRIAN NEVILLE (***1/4)
The NXT fans booed loudly as Konnor and Viktor battered Adrian Neville in the ring, the number one contenders to the NXT Tag Team Champions getting a head start three weeks before their title shot at NXT ArRIVAL. The Ascension picked Neville up and tossed him into the air and down to the canvas hard with a double catapult when finally Corey Graves ran down to the ring. In the midst of all of this, Bo Dallas quickly rolled out to the floor where he retrieved his NXT Heavyweight Championship, clutching it as he watched the action unfold. Graves hit the ring and tried his best to fight Konnor and Viktor, but the two beasts were too much for the 'Savior of Misbehavior', the Fall of Man prepared with a groggy Graves in the center of it - but in came Kassius Ohno! The 'Knockout Kid' slid into the ring and shoved the ready-to-pounce Viktor into Konnor, Kassius connecting with the spinning KO for Viktor! Ohno wasn't given any time to recooperate however, and Konnor nailed Ohno with a flying punch right to the face of Kassius. The number one contender to the NXT Heavyweight Championship hit the canvas and the Ascension stood tall in the ring over Ohno, Neville and Graves, three of the faces of NXT! Bo Dallas meanwhile stood in awe at ringside, the Ascension dominant as NXT faded to black.

| NXT PROFILE - Kassius Ohno 225lbs - 6'4 - Dayton, Ohio Finisher - The KO
Regarded as one of the greatest wrestlers in the world, Kassius Ohno is world renowned for his craft. Making his debut just several months after graduating from Northmont High School in his hometown of Dayton in 1998, Kassius has quickly risen the ranks and become one of the most influential superstars of recent memory as well. He's wrestled all across the United States and Canada, throughout Germany, Austria, England, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland and Holland perfecting his craft in becoming one of the best mechanics in the ring.
To add to this recipe, Kassius Ohno is also well educated in Japanese strongstyle. This alone makes an already extremely dangerous wrestler even more intense and dominant. Ohno's work in Japan gave him many friends - including the late Mitsuharu Misawa, who apparently gave him a special elbow pad to help allow him "perfect" the KO spinning elbow. Kassius since has become known as the 'Knockout Kid' with his huge arsenal of submissions and other knockout variations.
Even more interesting, Kassius Ohno has trained over 68 known wrestlers, all of which are roaming around the independent circuit and may one day also crop up in the WWE. One already has - WWE Superstar Antonio Cesaro! The two were even signed by the WWE at the same time in 2011, and both made instant splashes in Florida Championship Wrestling. Carrying over his accomplishments already made, Ohno entered the world of NXT completely dominant, known to knock out his opponents and also punish them. With this, he became the premiere villain in the Full Sail University despised by fans. Since then, he has become hungry, willing to hunt for another accomplishment: that being the NXT Heavyweight Championship and this has gained the respect of the NXT Universe in the process.
A veteran of the business and still a student of the game, Kassius Ohno is hungry and aims to win the NXT Heavyweight Championship one day very soon. He has such a ranged moveset that he could get the job done with any single one of his moves or holds. Ohno has an agenda and that is to be the best that NXT has to offer. |

NXT News of the Week (February 5-12, 2014)
- International talent Prince Devitt is in talks about signing with the WWE. Devitt appeared at the WWE Performance Center last week and was offered a developmental contract last week - however the Irish talent told WWE that he wanted to wait until after the next tour with New Japan Pro Wrestling to make a decision. Devitt has been on WWE's radar ever since Triple H watched a match between Devitt and PAC (now known as Adrian Neville in NXT) a few years ago. PAC was signed almost instantly afterwards. (January 31, 2014) | - In an update on Prince Devitt's situation with a contract offer on the table, the Irishman has made it clear that he wants to think it through before deciding whether or not to sign the developmental deal. It is expected that this decision will be made by the end of February. (February 9, 2014) | - With Hunico now under the mask of Sin Cara with Mistico having left the company last month, it appears that Camacho's future is in question with the company. Management as of right now are thinking of something else Camacho can portray in terms of character as many believe his character will grow stale quickly on his own. Meanwhile Hunico plans to retain the Sin Cara character for the foreseeable future. (February 6, 2014) | - Eddie Edwards has officially reported to the WWE Performance Center as of last week. It is expected that Edwards will train here to perfect his craft and make his debut on NXT television in the spring. (February 7, 2014) | - There were rumors several weeks ago of Sami Zayn being sidelined by an injury potentially jeopardizing the rematch with Antonio Cesaro at NXT ArRIVAL. Zayn tweeted (@ilikesamizayn) yesterday on these rumors after his win on Saturday night: "1st match back tonight, a win over the Ascension and Bo Dallas in #NXTCrystalRiver. Medically cleared & ready for Antonio Cesaro 2/27 live on @wwenetwork!" Zayn previously had to take a short break from the ring due to a lingering knee injury. (February 8, 2014) | - Rumors recently circulated that Richie Steamboat had been released from the WWE alongside the recent budget cutting measure that saw the releases of Yoshi Tatsu, Mason Ryan and Raquel Diaz. This is apparently not true - Richie is still listed as being a member of the NXT roster, but is currently off-screen dealing from a back injury which could end his career. (February 10, 2014) | - Swedish armwrestling champion Sarah Backman is now using the ring name "Sharra". She is currently training in the Performance Center, and in an interesting note, is dating NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas behind the scenes. (February 11, 2014) | - Powerlifter Brian Reid has been signed to a developmental contract and will begin working out at the WWE Performance Center next week. Reid previously worked on the California independent circuit under the name "Brian Tennan". (February 6, 2014) |

WWE NXT Live Event: February 7, 2014Crystal River, FL - Crystal River Armory
- The turnout for this show was decent, just shy of 100 people in attendance. Before the show Adrian Neville, Sami Zayn and Bayley signed autographs. The overall show length was just over two hours long - no return date was given. | - Sasha Banks & Charlotte def. Bayley & Alexa Bliss in a tag team bout that got the show off to a nice start. Alexa Bliss with thanks to her recent appearance on television was over with the fans, they liked her similar child-like character traits and it matched well with Bayley's. Banks and Charlotte repeatedly cheated en route to winning - it came about when Charlotte distracted Bayley led into Banks finishing with the Bankrupt.
| - Baron Corbin def. Slate Randall in a very short match after the End of Days TKO. Corbin has become very popular with the fans since he debuted last month, and it seems to be because of his silent, dominant in-ring style. Slate was impressive in trying to get in some offense against Corbin, but fans weren't buying him as a threat. | - Tyler Breeze def. Colin Cassady in a decent match. It was entertaining to see Breeze try to run away from Big Cass given their recent storyline on television - Breeze is dynamite in this role. Cassady was mean, strong and crisp with his offense, and this match actually exceeded the ten minute mark - ending when Breeze ducked Cass' big boot and connected with the Beauty Shot. Breeze ran from Cass after the match. | - Leo Kruger def. Dash Wilder in a short, comedy match. Wilder tried to dance his way out of holds from Kruger, and even urged Leo to join him in dancing in the ring at one point, but the South African was irked by this. Kruger proceeded to finish Wilder quickly with a spinebuster and the Kruger's End. The fans enjoyed Wilder's gimmick. | - Oliver Grey def. Aiden English in a solid match. Grey has been absent from in-ring activity on television due to training at the Performance Center to get rid of any ring rust, and he proved here that he was absolutely fine again. Aiden English was accompanied by Sylvester Lefort who repeatedly distracted the referee allowing his Legionnaires client to gain control. English comically started singing at one point, leading to Grey capitalizing and winning after a powerbomb. | - Sami Zayn & NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville & Corey Graves def. NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas & The Ascension in the main event, a really long, fun tag team contest that kept the crowd invested throughout and seemed to be a prep for the NXT Tag Team Championship match at NXT's WWE Network special in a few weeks. Corey Graves and Adrian Neville worked well as a team, connecting throughout with no signs of dissension. The Ascension worked over Sami Zayn and then Corey Graves, which then allowed Neville to come in and take control of the opposition. Bo Dallas and Sami Zayn could have a spectacular rivalry. The finish came when Neville nailed the Red Arrow on Viktor to give the fans a happy ending to the show in about 20 minutes. They posed for the Armory crowd after the match. |

| NXT PROFILE - Alexander Rusev 304lbs - 6'0 - Bulgaria Finisher - The Accolade x2 NXT Tag Team Champion
What a tank Alexander Rusev is. Known to fans as the 'Bulgarian Brute', the Bulgarian born super-athlete has been very dominant already in his quest to make it up to the WWE roster. Making his debut in 2008 under the training of WWE alumnus Gangrel and Rikishi, Rusev quickly impressed WWE officials prompting them to offer the 300+ pounder a contract in 2010. Joining Florida Championship Wrestling upon arrival, Rusev's size alone impressed many - but this was actually magnified and intensified when Rusev was sidelined with a broken neck in the ring training.
This injury actually proved to be the biggest blessing to the Bulgarian's career, as in his time away from the ring, Alexander Rusev travelled to Thailand, where he was mentored and trained successfully in Muay Thai - this giving the big man an impressive agile feat. The injury took him out of action for fourteen months, and when he made a return to the ring, FCW was no more: NXT was the place to be.
Alexander Rusev made his return to the ring in May 2013, and right away he did it in devastating fashion. The 'Bulgarian Brawler' went through a lot of the WWE Performance Center's students and also came into a collision with Mason Ryan. Since then, Rusev has been on a quest, going through WWE Superstars such as Kofi Kingston, Sin Cara and Xavier Woods. In January 2014 he even added another accomplishment to his resumé, when he debuted in the 2014 Royal Rumble match, eliminating two men in that match and making a huge impact. And to make things worse, the seemingly unstoppable Rusev has the wise Frenchman Sylvester Lefort in his corner to ensure victory if Rusev struggles even in the slightest.
While we don't know much about Alexander Rusev, what we do know is that he is incredibly dangerous with his size and pure strength - but also with his well-versed educated feet. The patrioticmember of the Legionnaires representing his home country, Alexander Rusev will continue to dominate the competition for years to come. |

NXT! February 5th! Lets go! A six women tag team match to open things up is nice for the six of them. Summer Rae, Sasha Banks and Charlotte getting the win was good, Paige getting distracted was a good touch to help the victory. Next up, Tyler Breeze. Ugh, Prince Pretty. Yes, I still don't like him that much. Enzo Amore on a scooter equals gold. Baron Corbin destroying Cal Bishop in seven seconds. Welp, that was about as quick as I am. I mean, what? That could be an interesting game to play. I mean, what? I'd say The Legionnaires are not pleased, yeah. Can you blame them!? Sami Zayn beating Wesley Blake was good for him, giving him a good victory but he still can't win the big one. Damn it, Sami. I'd like to see him defeat Antonio Cesaro, for sure. Oh snap, he called Cesaro a coward! AND NOW WE GOT OURSELVES CESARO VERSUS ZAYN! YAY! Like I said, I hope Zayn wins. Tyler Breeze and Tyson Kidd never begins, thanks to Big Cass chasing down Breeze. Oh hey, it's Leo Kruger. All he has to is blow his whistle, baby, whistle baby. Summer vs Emma with the winner getting to face Paige? God, please don't let Summer win. At least not over Paige. Finally, a very big main event with Bo Dallas versus Adrian Neville. The Ascension getting the involved was fine to make it a disqualification finish and not really hurt anybody. The Ascension completely dominated the piss out of everyone in front of them and it made for a good conclusion to a solid edition of NXT.

| NXT PROFILE - Tyler Breeze 205lbs - 6'0 - Daytona Beach, Florida Finisher - The Beauty Shot x1 FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion x1 FCW Florida Tag Team Champion
An egotist, Tyler Breeze has not always been this way: despite his claims of having seasonal residences in places such as Milan, Italy; Helsinki, Finland; Santorini, Greece, Tyler Breeze originally started his career up in Canada. Here, Breeze made his debut in 2007 and was trained under former WWE, WCW and ECW Superstar Lance Storm.
He was signed by the WWE in 2010, making his debut as Mike Dalton in Florida Championship Wrestling. Here he had a fair measure of success, winning the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship and the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship alongside now WWE Superstar Roman Reigns - but when FCW closed its doors in 2012 and NXT was open, the young man had a change of character, as he became the ever narcissistic Tyler Breeze.
A man that has innovated the use of the "selfie", Tyler has become a primadonna that the men hate and the women love. Quite quickly, the self-proclaimed 'Prince Pretty' forever brandished his iPhone and made a mockery of his opponent's appearance and skills, proclaiming himself better. In September 2013 Breeze got a huge opportunity when he took on WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler - a man much like himself but a huge fan favourite, Breeze was uneventful in defeating Dolph - and that defeat has plagued Tyler ever since. With his egotism aside, Tyler is skillful in the ring and very agile and quick on his feet. Breeze does not like to be embarrassed by another superstar in the ring or out, and has developed a narcissistic temper tantrum because of it.
Tyler Breeze has set himself out as being the most confident star that NXT has to offer today. The 'Definition of Delish' is an impressive member of the roster and is bound to achieve a breakout year in 2014. Cell phone carrying, self loving narcissist, Tyler Breeze has proven himself so far to be nothing shy of amazing. |

| NXT PROFILE - Sami Zayn 205lbs - 6'1 - Montreal, Quebec, Canada Finisher - The Helluva Kick
With a 'whatever it takes to win' attitude, Sami Zayn may be the most remorseful, genuine member of the NXT roster. Making his debut in 2002 out of his hometown of Montreal, Canada, Sami Zayn has since become renowned around the world for his world-class matches. A competitor that has traveled the world from the United States of America to Europe and overseas in Japan, Zayn has proven time and time again that he is one of the greatest superstars in the world - a feat that Zayn would like to continue on and accomplish in the WWE in years to come.
Throughout his twelve year long career, Sami Zayn has gained a huge following from his many classic matches on the independent circuit and international tours. Followed wherever he goes in 'Olé' chants, Zayn has been all around the world in pursuit of the goal of becoming the man on the mountain. In 2013, Mr Zayn was given a WWE contract, and in May of last year, the Syrian-Canadian was about to add even more accomplishments to his resumé.
In his debut match, Sami Zayn defeated WWE Superstar Antonio Cesaro. Impressive? Prior to beating Cesaro, he also managed to defeat another WWE Superstar in Curt Hawkins earlier on in the hour. Zayn has since gone out of his way to make a name for himself and carry on his reputation: showing a die-hard persona with the will to become NXT Heavyweight Champion. However his jouney so far has been a long one - twice has Zayn attempted to challenge for the title just to fall in defeat. These losses have devastated Zayn in the past, but despite his humane emotions, Sami continues to strive on the path with a vow to become NXT Heavyweight Champion by the end of 2014. Additionally, despite having multiple match of the year candidates with Antonio Cesaro (including an amazing two out of three falls match in August 2014), Zayn wants to beat Cesaro and gain the Swiss Superstar's respect: something which he obsesses out.
All in all, Sami Zayn is one of the faces of the NXT program. Tenacious and resilient, Zayn has a huge passion and has shown time and time again that he will try hard and fight hard to get what he truly wants: the NXT Heavyweight Championship - and his highly supportive fanbase will support him regardless of win or loss. |

| WWE NXT: Wednesday 12th February 2014 - Winter Park, FL - Full Sail University - Aired on WWE.com (#208) [#WWENXT] | COLD OPEN - After the opening graphic aired featuring WWE Superstars of the past and present, we cut to an empty room occupied by only two office chairs, Michael Cole sat between them on a swinging chair of his own, the voice of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown welcoming us to NXT tonight. Cole said that tonight he has the opportunity to sit down with two of the best superstars in NXT today, Kassius Ohno and NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas. He said that he plans to moderate their exchange and ask both men questions regarding their upcoming two out of three falls match in two weeks time at NXT ArRIVAL. (0:01) | INTRODUCTION - The opening video package for NXT aired as we cut to the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for this edition of NXT, with only two weeks away until NXT ArRIVAL live on the WWE Network. Tom Phillips, Alex Riley and Renee Young welcomed us to this edition of NXT, talking up several key highlights for tonight's edition such as Konnor of the Ascension taking on NXT Tag Team Champion Corey Graves in singles action; Summer Rae taking on Emma with the winner going on to challenge Paige for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT ArRIVAL; Sami Zayn teaming up with Tyson Kidd to take on Antonio Cesaro and Leo Kruger in a big tag team bout; and Michael Cole moderating a discussion between Bo Dallas and Kassius Ohno, plus more! (0:03) | ANTONIO CESARO & LEO KRUGER vs SAMI ZAYN & TYSON KIDD In two weeks time, it was Sami Zayn's chance to get another opportunity in facing and defeating Antonio Cesaro in Cesaro and Zayn's fourth encounter at NXT ArRIVAL; but tonight, it was important for Cesaro or Zayn to get a tag team victory over their adversary in order to gain some momentum going into the big match. On Cesaro's side, none other than the former rival of Sami Zayn, Leo Kruger; and on Zayn's side, a very good friend and fellow Canadian in Tyson Kidd: who Kruger last week called out and called a loser for not being able to muster up a victory - this was Kidd's chance to strike. Cesaro and Zayn started off surprisingly, but just as Sami got ready to tie up, the 'Swiss Superman' dodged it and decided to tag in the South-African instead! Kruger grinned as the NXT Universe booed this decision, Kruger and Zayn locking up with Leo using his size to lock Zayn in a hammerlock until the world class abilities of Sami Zayn began to set up Zayn to overcome Kruger, a handstand followed up with a leg chop sending Leo down to the canvas! Zayn smiled as Kruger looked irked, the two locking up again just for Zayn to get the better hand with a Japanese armdrag connecting! Zayn wasn't done with the chain wrestling however, instead deciding to tag in Tyson Kidd, who decided to continue the wristlock: Kidd fighting off the larger Kruger's attempts to break it with some stiff kicks and chops. The chain-wrestling sequence over, Kidd whipped Kruger into the corner and charged at him but Leo blocked it with a forearm to the boot followed up with a huge clothesline to Tyson! Kruger grinned and laughed as he then pounded into Tyson, even choking him at one point. Kruger tagged in the Swiss WWE Superstar, as Antonio Cesaro began with an initial hard-hitting uppercut before hooking the arm of Tyson before scoop slamming him onto it. Cesaro would follow up with a big double footstomp onto the chest of Tyson: notably whilst the arm of the Canadian's was beneath him. The former United States Champion soaked up the Floridan animosity before targeting the arm some more with several stomps across the forearm of Kidd, tagging in Kruger who proceeded to drop elbows and continue working the elbow.
The South-African bounty hunter was rubbing it in against Tyson Kidd, Leo Kruger verbally demeaning Kidd as he wrenched on the arm of Tyson, wrenching it backwards and telling Kidd to try harder so he could fail harder. Kruger continued to have the wrench applied, but Sami Zayn was backing his Canadian friend, trying to get the NXT Universe to get behind the final graduate of the Dungeon so Kidd could make the hot tag. Tyson was stirring as fans clapped, but at this point Kruger was able to make the tag to Antonio Cesaro, who decided to drag Kidd back to their corner. Cesaro continued to work away on the arm of Tyson despite the fans' 'Tyson' chants, but Kidd almost got away by kicking Cesaro stiffly in the side not once but twice - but when attempting to run towards Zayn for the tag, Cesaro grabbed the bad arm and delivered a European uppercut across it! Kidd flew into the air and crashed onto the canvas to boos as the 'Swiss Superman' continued the attack, tagging in Kruger again. Together, they stomped away some more on Tyson Kidd, but as Leo nailed a spinebuster, Kidd kicked out surprising Kruger - as Kruger then decided to try for the Kruger's End...just for Tyson to manage finding a way out of it, then cracking Leo with a Pelé kick! Kruger went down, as Tyson began crawling, and despite Kruger's effort to stop him, Tyson got the tag and in came Sami Zayn to meet Leo Kruger! Zayn ran at Kruger with two flying clotheslines before connecting with a dropkick and reversing a right hand from the South-African into a backslide for a near fall. Zayn then delivered a monkey flip to Leo sending him into the corner, Sami with a splash onto Kruger in the corner! Sami was off to a hot start, as Antonio Cesaro meanwhile took the tag, as Sami turned around to come face to face with Cesaro. The two men stared each other down, as Cesaro challenged Zayn to touch him, before Leo Kruger blindsighted Zayn with a clothesline from behind, Zayn sent into Cesaro who connected with a big European Uppercut! Cesaro covered, but Zayn kicked out at two showing off the heart of the Syrian-Canadian. Cesaro proceeded to try and work away on Zayn, but Zayn reversed a Neutralizer attempt into a hurricanrana with a pinfall attempt for two, as Cesaro made a tag to Leo Kruger. Zayn wanted more of Cesaro though, as Sami ducked a clothesline attempt by Leo and bounced off the ropes with a tornado DDT out of nowhere! Zayn tagged in Tyson Kidd as Zayn proceeded to target Antonio Cesaro, a suicide dive spearing Cesaro off the apron sending both men to the floor among NXT chants! A preview of things to come in two weeks time at NXT ArRIVAL - as meanwhile Tyson Kidd kicked away at Leo Kruger, until Leo ducked one and took Kidd down with a clothesline. The South African attempted to go for the Kruger's End one more time just for Kidd to catch Kruger with a sunset flip reversal for two, Kidd then rolling out to the apron where Tyson connected with a springboard neckbreaker covering Kruger just for Cesaro to break the count! Cesaro nailed Kidd with the tossup Uppercut knocking Kidd out as Sami Zayn went after Cesaro, the two ending up on the floor one more time. Meanwhile Kruger covered, and got the victory in 14:22! WINNERS: ANTONIO CESARO & LEO KRUGER (***)
The NXT Universe booed at the dastardly win made by Antonio Cesaro's assistance, helping Leo Kruger gain a victory and giving Tyson Kidd another loss. Cesaro and Kruger raised one another's hands at ringside to boos from the NXT Universe as Tyson Kidd remained in the ring, down whilst clutching his worked over arm from this heated opening contest. Sami Zayn meanwhile slipped into the ring and checked on Tyson Kidd as Kidd seemed quite upset with the loss suffered at the hands of Kruger, with Leo seemingly proving himself right in Kidd being nothing more than a loser.
(0:20) | COMMENTS FROM THE ASCENSION - The NXT announce team took us back to last week's main event, where in the second and final installment of Pick Your Poison, NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas met NXT Tag Team Champion Adrian Neville in a hard fought battle which could have gone either way. And it could have done, but we may never know because the match came to a sudden end when the Ascension attacked Adrian Neville. The Ascension cleared house of their rivals in Neville and Corey Graves, who they will face in two weeks at NXT ArRIVAL - as we then went to the Ascension stood in a dark area. Konnor and Viktor were stood by talking about the domination of the NXT Tag Team Champions last week, and how it was only a taste of things to come until NXT crowned new Tag Champions in Konnor and Viktor. The two talked about having to watch from the sidelines as Corey Graves and Adrian Neville were having problems like a teen couple, and much like the predators, the Ascension will strike like coyotes and feast upon the bodies of Neville and Graves. Konnor shoved Viktor, as the two declared that at NXT ArRIVAL, the Ascension arrives!
(0:22) | THE WWE NETWORK IS COMING! - A video package aired promoting the official launch date of the WWE Network. (0:23) | THE KING OF CUTESVILLE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY... - Meanwhile, in the interview area backstage, Devin Taylor was standing by with 'Prince Pretty' Tyler Breeze, as Taylor talked about how Tyler has been on the run for several weeks trying to duck Colin Cassady at all costs. Breeze said that he hasn't been hiding from 'Big Cass', stating that he didn't want to outsmart the big man and make him hurt himself. Tyler said that he wanted to show everybody how weak he could make Cassady look, after he and Enzo Amore humiliated him last month. Tyler said he got his revenge, and he's won now...that's when Tyler took a gaze into his phone and jumped - behind him standing NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield! JBL laughed saying that he always wanted to do that - before telling Tyler with a smile on his face that he overheard him talking about how he won, but that he may not be out of the woods yet. Breeze asked JBL why that may be, as Layfield told Tyler that he has a terrific idea for NXT ArRival, and that's with Colin Cassady taking on Tyler Breeze, one-on-one! JBL patted Breeze on the shoulder and told him to have a good match, then leaving without giving Tyler a chance to dispute it.
(0:24) | MOJO RAWLEY def. DASH WILDER - The 'Hype Man' was back for another match up tonight on NXT, as Mojo Rawley was up against recurring player here in the Full Sail University, Dash Wilder. Wilder tried to get in some offense against the energetic Mojo, but the powerhouse Rawley began to fight away at Dash, the former defense line player from the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers easily taking care of Dash Wilder, putting him down with the jumping butt bump followed up by the Hyper Drive for the victory, Mojo Rawley defeating Dash Wilder in 1:28. (n/a)
The fans in the Full Sail University cheered for the ever energetic Mojo Rawley, the 'Hype Man of NXT' jumping up and down after another victory. That suddenly stopped however, as the theme of Alexander Rusev hit! Rawley looked on as Sylvester Lefort led his Legionnaires Aiden English and Alexander Rusev out onto the stage, Lefort then guiding them down the rampway to the ring as Mojo kept a careful eye on both Rusev and English - when English hit the ring and Rawley tried to fight him off with some clubs - but Aiden delivered a haymaker to Mojo sending him into the path of the 'Bulgarian Brute', Rusev nailing him in the face with a big jumping superkick! Lefort stood in the background on the apron as Rusev decided to lock in the Accolade on poor Mojo Rawley, Rawley tapping as Rusev yelled in Bulgarian, shouting for revenge on Kassius Ohno! The Legionnaires were dominant in this show of power.
(0:27) | THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS ON THE SAME PAGE - In the interview section with Devin Taylor, she was now standing by with the NXT Tag Team Champions Corey Graves and Adrian Neville, as Taylor wanted to get some words from the champs about whether they were on the same page as it seemed like last week, just in time for their title defense at NXT ArRIVAL. Graves told Taylor that the two had put their differences aside officially, and now it feels totally great because they can concentrate on what's best and take down the Ascension. Adrian told Devin that there has been a clash of styles between the two champions as teammates, but the one thing that they can strive off of is how competitive they can be with one another - and being NXT Tag Team Champions is another factor. Neville continued, addressing that last week the Ascension escalated things even further by getting involved in their business: and that won't end well. Graves said that in two weeks time the Ascension will descend when they lose in the NXT Tag Team Championship match - but tonight, Konnor gets a sneak preview of what messing with the 'Savior of Misbehavior' will do to him.
(0:29) | NUMBER ONE CONTENDERS - SUMMER RAE def. EMMA - This match was set up last week by NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield at the urgency of Summer Rae, who claimed she deserved another opportunity to gain a shot at NXT Women's Champion Paige. These two Divas actually met up in singles action last month - a bout in which Emma won, however when it came to Emma challenging Paige for the NXT Women's Championship, the BFFs consisting of Summer and Sasha Banks made the interference. The Australian who recently made her debut on Monday Night RAW was pumped up to get revenge on Summer, who pinned her in a six-woman tag match last week. Emma started off strong, a discus elbow smash followed up with a running crossbody onto the former dancer partner of Fandango, Emma almost getting the win right there if not for two. Sasha Banks, who accompanied her BFF to ringside, watched on as Emma starting to work Summer Rae and chop her down, working over the long legs of Summer as the NXT Universe cheered her on. They chanted Emma's name when Summer suddenly struck Emma with a big forearm, the so-called 'First Lady of NXT' slamming Emma's face right into the canvas using the hair. Rae continued by holding Emma in the corner and choking her with a big boot, at the same time showing off her long, luscious legs to loud boos from the Winter Park audience. Rae soon decided to go for the Summer Crush, but Emma fired back and nailed Summer with a second rope crossbody for two, before connecting with the Emma-mite Sandwich as Summer tried to take a breather in the corner. Emma soon after attempted to go for the Dil-Emma on Summer - but behind referee Drake Wuertz's back Sasha Banks connected with a stiff kick across the back of the skull laying Emma out on the ring apron! Summer took chance on this, dragging Emma back inside and connecting with the Summer Crush for the three at 5:15. (*1/2)
The NXT Universe booed loudly as Summer Rae's hand was raised in victory, as Sasha Banks suddenly went for a groggy Emma as well! The crowd booed as Sasha pulled on Emma's hair, slamming her face into the canvas when suddenly out ran Paige! The NXT Women's Champion hit the ring for the rescue, the 'Anti-Diva' hitting the ring just as Sasha and Summer of the BFFs left, walking up the aisleway. Paige aided to Emma when suddenly the NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield was shown on the screen on the entrance way! JBL was shown from his office, as Layfield congratulated Summer Rae on a fun match tonight, before telling her that although he was impressed by her, he doesn't feel like she should be the number one contender to the NXT Women's Championship - not without Emma around! The fans in the Full Sail University cheered, as JBL officially announced that at NXT ArRIVAL we would witness Paige defending the NXT Women's Championship against Emma and Summer Rae in a triple threat match! The NXT Universe cheered, as the BFFs were furious. Meanwhile, Emma raised her fist in happiness, whilst Paige looked on hesitant.
(0:37) | THE NEXT STOP IN THE ROAD - An advertisement aired, promoting the next blip on the radar en route to WrestleMania XXX: WWE Elimination Chamber, live on pay-per-view on Sunday, February 23.
(0:38) | NEXT WEEK - The NXT announce team talked about the line-up for NXT ArRIVAL in two weeks, before referring to what has been announced for next week's edition of NXT, with one week to go until the WWE Network special: NXT General Manager John Bradshaw Layfield has been earning his pay announcing a massive six-man tag team bout with NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas teaming up with Konnor and Viktor of the Ascension to take on Kassius Ohno and the NXT Tag Team Champions Adrian Neville and Corey Graves; plus, in a match one month in the making, Bayley takes on her former best friend and new BFF member Charlotte in singles action.
(0:39) | "IT'S NOTHING PERSONAL, I'M JUST BETTER THAN HER" - A short video package aired, reviewing the evolution of Charlotte as an NXT Diva. Debuting back in 2013, the daughter of 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair attempted to make a splash in battle with other NXT Divas, but she wasn't very successful with not too much experience under her belt. She teamed up with fellow NXT Diva Bayley, a child-like, loveable character in the ranks of the WWE Performance Center. However, tragedy struck Charlotte when she was sidelined with a neck injury: one which she returned from last month, assaulting Bayley and joining the BFFs alongside Summer Rae and Sasha Banks. In a short statement from the self-proclaimed 'Genetically Supreme Diva', she spoke of her former tag team partner, stating that her turning on Bayley was nothing personal, stating that it was just because she was better than Bayley. She said next week she proves why she deserves to be a future WWE Diva over the cringe-worthy Bayley, when she wipes the floor with her. A sarcastic woo ended the vignette.
(0:41) | NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION COREY GRAVES vs KONNOR Two of four men to compete in two weeks time at NXT ArRIVAL, the NXT Tag Team Champion Corey Graves wanted to prove to the NXT Universe that he was now on the same page as fan favourite Adrian Neville, and that he could hold his own against one-half of the Ascension - especially seeking revenge for last week's beatdown courtesy of the challengers. And now with one week ahead until six-man tag team warfare before NXT ArRIVAL, Graves and Konnor were each pining for an opportunity to gain momentum for their respective side. The 'Savior of Misbehavior' was actually rooted for by the Full Sail crowd going into this one, as Graves and Konnor locked up before Graves immediately started laying into the Ascension member with multiple lefts and rights, before sending him off the ropes and nailing Konnor with a kitchen sink knee to the gut! The Ascension member hit the canvas and retreated into the corner where Graves planned to continue his attack, as Graves delivered ten punches into Konnor, who was seated in the corner. The Pittsburgh punk followed up with a knee in the corner, as Konnor then decided to take a walk out at ringside! Graves had gotten the better of Konnor so far, as Graves decided to follow his rival out to ringside - and that proved to be a rookie mistake, when Konnor dodged a chop block attempt made by a stalking Graves, Corey harshly hitting the steel steps shoulder first! Konnor roared as Corey had been outsmarted by the Ascension member. Konnor picked Graves up and carelessly tossed him back inside the ring where he re-entered and kicked Graves once again in the shoulder - obviously beginning to target the previously harmed shoulder - thanks to Graves himself, insultingly enough. Konnor wrenched away at the arm multiple times and shoulder thrusted into it, weakening it even more.
Konnor soon went for the Full Nelson, which definitely did a number on Corey Graves, the NXT Tag Team Champion visibly wincing in pain as Konnor applied more and more pressure onto the previously worked over shoulder. Konnor applied more and more pressure when Corey suddenly tried to fight out of it with an elbow smash into the chest - but the Ascension member launched Graves up and down onto the canvas with a Full Nelson slam cutting off the 'Savior of Misbehavior's attempt to mount a comeback. Konnor then continued to stomp on the shoulder of Graves whilst the Winter Park crowd cheered Graves on some more, and that's when Konnor made a mistake, allowing Graves some healing time which allowed Corey to strike Konnor and send him down with a chop block! Graves was slow at first, clutching the shoulder and trying to shake off the cobwebs - and the 'Savior of Misbehavior' then caught Konnor with a second shoulder block to the leg! Konnor was beginning to hold the knee now, as Graves met Konnor in the centre of the ring and connected with a huge sit-out bomb for two! Graves then went for the leg once again, as Corey locked in the single-legged Boston crab, Konnor riving in pain! Graves continued with the hold tightly locked in, but out came Viktor to ringside, causing Corey to break the hold and shout at Viktor on the apron! Adrian Neville quickly came to Graves' assistance however, as the other half of the NXT Tag Team Champions dragged Viktor down to the floor at ringside and rained punches down on Viktor! Meanwhile back in the ring Konnor attempted to go for the Flapjack just for Graves to block and connect with the Dragon Suplex for three at 5:24. WINNER: NXT TAG TEAM CHAMPION COREY GRAVES (**1/4)
The NXT Universe applauded Corey Graves as Konnor rolled out of the ring quickly, Adrian Neville meanwhile rolling into the ring to join the 'Savior of Misbehavior' in victory. The 'Man That Gravity Forgot' handed Graves his NXT Tag Team Championship belt as Neville held his, the tag team then posing with the titles and shoving it in the Ascension's face - Konnor and Viktor backing up the rampway visibly plotting their revenge come NXT ArRIVAL.
(0:49) | A FORMAL CONFRONTATION - We returned to the backstage room where Voice of WWE programming Michael Cole was now joined by the NXT Heavyweight Champion Bo Dallas and number one contender Kassius Ohno. Cole thanked both men for joining him, as he talked about how in two weeks time they will forever represent the NXT brand when they headline the first NXT special, and the first live programme to be shown live via the WWE Network. Michael started by mentioning to Bo Dallas about his motive in putting Kassius' career up for grabs in this match - to which Bo responded that he felt it was fair. Dallas explained with his eyes fixated on Ohno's eyes, Bo talking about how he's beaten Kassius before, and he's beaten him again and again: and it's about time that they end this chain of Dallas showing everyone why he is the Face of NXT. Cole then further questioned Bo's run as NXT Heavyweight Champion, referring to his critics of the NXT Universe and how controversial a champion Bo has been in the last nine months. Dallas chuckled, stating that people realize how special an athlete he is, because regardless of the opposition, Bo Dallas is the man that can overcome it all and defeat anyone in his way. Dallas described himself as a 'champion's champion' - someone the people can look up to. And that with himself being born into a family with championship pedigree, it would be very heartbreaking if someone of Kassius Ohno's fit were to steal his moment from him. Kassius shook his head as Michael Cole then turned his head to the number one contender, the Voice of RAW, SmackDown and other mainstream WWE programming asking the 'Knockout Kid' about his background coming into NXT. Kassius said that he is a veteran in this industry and at the same time still a student of the game. Ohno commented that he has been the World Champion many of times, and he has trained many wrestlers around the world, going as far as proclaiming himself one of the best wrestlers in the world today. Kassius said that Bo Dallas may be right that for the last nine months, he has been the Face of NXT - but that he needs to be reminded that he won't be able to carry on like this forever: that Bo Dallas has cheated so often that there's a reason why the NXT ArRIVAL match will be a two out of three falls match. Cole then asked Kassius about what he's going to do if he doesn't win in two weeks time - and he does in fact have to leave NXT per the stipulation. Ohno said that he hasn't thought about it: because he doesn't believe he's going to lose to Bo again. Kassius said that he has fought tooth and nail to try and get to this 'promise land' point in his career: where all eyes are on him. Ohno told Bo again that for nine months he has cheated to keep that NXT title around his waist, and for nine months he has been the laughing stock of the WWE as a whole. But somehow Bo has managed to keep that NXT Heavyweight Championship around his waist, making a mockery of it: but when NXT ArRIVAL comes to a close, Kassius will give that title new meaning. Cole asked if Bo had any comments for Ohno in response, as Bo shrugged Kassius' words off. Dallas told Ohno that he lives in this world where he is the biggest man in the world, and everybody around him are all below him. But what Ohno doesn't see is that Bo himself is the man on the mountain, way above Ohno. Dallas commented on Kassius not being the right mold for being NXT Heavyweight Champion, calling him untalented, scrappy and unattractive in addition to being a waste of space on the NXT roster. Dallas concluded, stating that anything Ohno says means nothing to him because Bo Dallas is teflon and he will wipe Ohno off the face of HIS NXT. Dallas then removed his microphone lip and walked off-screen with the NXT Heavyweight Championship - Kassius Ohno remained sat watching Dallas as he walked away. The 'Knockout Kid' told Michael Cole that he would end Dallas' reign in two weeks at NXT ArRIVAL, as NXT went off the air. (0:56) | | WWE NXT: 02/12/2014 RESULTS Corey Graves def. This is not getting the replies that it deserves. Great choice for an opener and a big write up. I love any usage of Tyson Kidd in NXT, and this Antonio Cesaro/Sami Zayn rivalry has been the tits. Hopefully Tyson turns heel though because his cat lover heel gimmick is great. The right team won here and the right guy got pinned. Also, the Kidd/Kruger rivalry is original and I dig it. Good Ascension promo. Big Cass vs. Tyler Breeze is another original program. Much better than Tyler being wasted in a match where Rusev destroyed him like in the real ArRival. I DONT GET HYPED! I STAY HYPED! God, I hate Mojo Rawley. The Legionnaires are pretty cool here, I must admit. Whoa. Surprised to see Summer Rae defeat Emma. I get that you wanna change the ArRival card from the real life one but Emma/Paige is THE go to women's match that should be showcased on their first big event. Summer just doesn't have it yet, even though she's a really good heel. Big six man tag for next week. Charlotte is damn good and I hope she has a strong 2014, but please shy away from the constant Ric Flair mentions. She's good enough to get over without it. Good main event choice to make the Tag Team Title match seem like an even bigger deal. While the opener was better, this getting the big slot builds it well. Corey Graves winning is good but I can see him turning on Adrian Neville at ArRival, leading to a big match between them at TakeOver. Good way to close, though not 100% sold on the mic skills of both Kassius Ohno and Bo Dallas to carry that segment. I do think it's funny to hear Bo Dallas say that Ohno doesn't have the "look" when he's flabby as hell. Solid episode and looking forward to ArRival.

| NXT PROFILE - Leo Kuger 220lbs - 6'1 - Johannesburg, South Africa Finisher - The Kruger's End x2 FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion
One of the more methodical, dangerous members of the locker room, the South-African Leo Kruger cut his teeth in the business in his home country, competing across South Africa before being signed to a contact with Florida Championship Wrestling - in which he made his debut for in early 2010. Initially a fan favourite, Leo Kruger managed to impress fans with his speed matched with his strength. However tragedy struck Kruger in November of that year when he broke his neck during a match with Bo Dallas.
This injury was symbolic in the change of Kruger's personality. Leo Kruger, once the South-African fan favourite traded in his fans for combat pants, a vest and a pair of leather boots. Leo became more methodical, more demented mentally - becoming a bounty hunter of sorts...and this showed as he went on to become a two time FCW Florida Heavyweight Champion. Twisted in the mind, Kruger soon turned his attention to NXT when FCW closed in the summer of 2012. Refocusing on NXT, Kruger started strong, racking up victories against such superstars as Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel and Alex Riley.
In addition to this, Leo Kruger also has a former alliance with fellow NXT superstar Kassius Ohno, as the two came close to becoming inaugural NXT Tag Team Champions in early 2013 - reaching the semi-final round before falling to Adrian Neville and Oliver Grey. At this point, Kruger severed all ties with Kassius and focused on something bigger: domination of the NXT roster. Kruger targeted the NXT Heavyweight Championship held by Bo Dallas, but unfortunately was unsuccessful. Then came his efforts in challenging Sami Zayn, who he managed to beat on a handful of occasions before falling in defeat to in a Falls Count Anywhere: the first main event of NXT in 2014.
Now on the loose with domination in mind, Leo Kruger hopes that 2014 is a more successful year. Demented, twisted and psychotic are three words that fit Kruger's personality very well, and when Kruger strikes, it should be a matter of time before the bounty hunter from South Africa cashes in and becomes the man on the mountain. |

| NXT PROFILE - Corey Graves 208lbs - 6'1 - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Finisher - The Lucky 13 x1 NXT Tag Team Champion x1 FCW Florida Tag Team Champion
A veteran in the ring, the 'Savior of Misbehavior' is a technician in the ring and very mean all at the same time. Tattoos on his neck, arms and "Stay Down" inked on his knuckles, Corey Graves is a punk rocker with a brutal set of moves in his arsenal designed to cripple the best of the NXT Superstars. Corey Graves made his debut in 2000 in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, poised to become one of the best superstars in the world. Over the next several years, Graves would leave his mark on the independent circuit across the United States and overseas in England, and even had a short stint as a contracted member of the WWE roster in 2006 and 2007.
In 2011 after several more years of the 'Savior of Misbehavior' dominating the circuit across the States, Corey Graves was signed to a WWE contract and he made his debut in Florida Championship Wrestling with a splash: quickly winning the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship alongside Jake Carter in early 2012. As FCW closed its doors in the summer, and NXT officially began in its place. Graves in true punk spirit, would rebel against the corporate machine, cheating to win as well as methodically breaking down his opponents' legs in order to lock in the deadly Lucky 13 submission to secure victory. On the first NXT of 2013, Graves was even given a shot at the NXT Heavyweight Championship held by Shield member Seth Rollins. Graves almost walked out as the champion, if it wasn't for the Shield's interference.
Moving forward into the spring, Corey Graves' tone changed, as he gained a fanbase and found himself in a heated rivalry with Bray Wyatt and his Wyatt Family: and as luck would have it, Adrian Neville needed a tag team partner in Neville's partner Oliver Grey's absence due to injury. On July 18, 2013, Corey Graves stepped up as Neville's tag team partner to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championships, defeating the Wyatt Family members Luke Harper and Erick Rowan to claim the titles. But over the months, despite their lengthy reign as champions defeating teams such as the Ascension, Hunico & Camacho and various others, egos have began to clash in Graves and Neville despite assistance/disruption from the return of Oliver Grey.
One thing is known about Graves for sure, as he said himself: if he doesn't have Neville around, he doesn't care because he can carry on as NXT Tag Team Champion himself. Graves is a loner, a silent predator who will go against the authority and rebel in order to bring change. Graves wants to be the face of NXT in the future and represent the brand as NXT Heavyweight Champion badly. In 2014, we may see how bad the 'Savior of Misbehavior' truly wants it. |
