another reward for PEDs.....and they wonder why these guys won't stop doing it. personally i dont give a ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) what athletes do. they get paid way more money than they should to "entertain" us (the fans) but baseball especially is soooo ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing hypocritical. for the last decade they've done nothing but condemn the idea of "cheating". it's been put out by their PR departments that PEDs are evil, heinous, the worst thing a human being can do and should be met with the harshest punishments allowed. they say "oh we don't want kids to grow up thinking its ok to cheat", they won't elect Barry Bonds into the Hall of Fame because he allegedly cheated for his stats. A-Rod gets suspended for a full year on a first offense as some kind of scapegoat to flex their crapty weak muscles like they aren't gonna stand for this anymore and Melky Cabrera who TESTED POSITIVE FOR PEDS a couple years ago just got 45 MILLION DOLLARS This was of course AFTER he got...what was that contract with the Jays? 16 million? Nelson Cruz....almost the same thing. And a bunch of other guys whom I can't even think of right now....getting multi-million dollar contracts even though they were "caught" doing this thing that MLB has deemed pure evil incarnate Now let me be clear, personally I don't give a crap. If I could take some crap to make me a decent baseball player and make $40 million I absolutely would. But the principle and the HYPOCRISY of Major League Baseball and their "policy" on this whole PED thing drives me ![](http://www.wrestlingfigs.com/images/wfcensored.gif) ing insane. First offense? 80 game suspension -> $45 million dollars lmao Baseball and the media made an example out of A-Rod because he was an easy target. The guy is, was, one of the greatest players of all time, and I don't really care what anyone says. Pete Rose still isn't in the HOF, MLB can't make up their minds about playoff structure, and the veterans committee makes a mockery of the second chance induction process every single year. Let's not get into the lack of competitive play due to the absence of a real salary cap. Baseball, as a business, is really a disaster. They get away with it though due to the luxury tax and the fact that people still love to go out and watch the game in most markets. The PED thing was facilitated by MLB when Sosa and Big Mac were chasing down the the home run record. It made baseball millions. Bonds, A-Rod, Clemons, they all made baseball millions of dollars... and then the league turned around are persecuted them when it became a public relations nightmare.

Yeah I saw that a few days ago. Should be pretty accurate. I saw it and thought fondly of you and your suffering.

Pirates sign Hart for one year. Not bad. He is going to platoon with Alvarez at first and he's a respectable bat to have on the bench with Snider and, with Snider, can play OF when Marte and Cutch inevitably get hurt at the exact same time as if on cue.

Being a Braves fan, I have seen a decent amount of Eovaldi. He has electric stuff and looks unhittable at times, but just isn't a good pitcher right now. He has some good stuff just needs to learn how to use it effectively (another pitch). Risky move though, especially in the AL.
Braves, I guess we are half-ass rebuilding. People don't want us to lose a 100 games but we aren't going to win 85 either. The BJ Upton and Uggla deals hurt us. We could have built an offense around Justin and Freeman and go from there but we couldn't thanks to BJ. I have felt that we needed to rebuild for years and be sellers vs buyers. You just hate to see young talent leave. Farm system needs help so hopefully these moves can help it to.
Been nearly 25 yrs since we went into a season with no chance really. Pitching could be good, maybe we start manufacturing some runs.

Yeah I don't get the Markakis thing either. Kind of reminds me of signing Chris Johnson to his new deal. Eh whatever. They are just rebuilding until we get the new stadium built.I'm just sad they didn't make them take BJ.
