So recently my laptop screen hasn't been able to stand up by itself like usual. My laptop either fall forward or almost all the way back when opened. It will only stay up if something in behind it holding it up. Is there a way to fix this?

Take it into a computer repair place and have them fix the hinges and/or casing.

It depends on where you go, but I couldn't imagine more than two figures. I wouldn't know the exact amount, as mine was fixed in-house and charged as a business expense.

More than likely the hinges if your case isn't broke. I have a Dell and the top case around the screen is 2 pieces(front/back) and it has broken twice in places. One time it caused the screen not to stay up because the screw tabs for the hinge had broken.
Easy to fix on most computers. You could remove the screen and take a look at it. Just a few screws to pop the front molding/case off.

Now part of my computer screen is behind the thing with the hinges, but luckily it's still attached.
