Surprised to not see these already posted... * Solomon Crowe defeated Travis Tyler in the dark match. * They are doing a tag team tournament tonight. July 31st Episode: * Tyler Breeze defeated Angelo Dawkins. * Charlotte defeated Becky Lynch in a non-title match. * The Ascension defeated a debuting Mac Miles and another wrestler. They then announced a tournament to crown new #1 contenders. * Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley defeated The Mechanics Scott Dawson. * Adam Rose defeated Tyson Kidd. Natalya came out during the match. Some of the NXT Divas and wrestlers were acting as Rosebuds. August 7th Episode: * Jason Jordan and Tye Dillinger vs. Enzo Amore and Big Cass in a tournament match is up first. Enzo and Cass get the win to advance. They were over big time. * CJ Parker defeated Xavier Woods. * Bayley defeated Eva Marie. Eva was met with huge heat from the crowd, a really bad experience for her apparently. Bayley got the win with her suplex. * Sami Zayn and Adam Rose vs. Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel is next for a tournament match. Zayn and Rose win after a running Yakuza kick in the corner. August 14th Episode: * They are only taping 3 episodes tonight. * Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley vs. Simon Gotch and Aiden English in a tournament match is next. The Vaudevillians get the win and Bull beats Mojo down after the match. * Bayley defeated Sasha Banks with a roll-up to become the new #1 contender. Charlotte came out and shook hands with Bayley on the stage after the match. * Sin Cara and Kalisto defeated Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake in another tournament match. * Tyler Breeze vs. Adrian Neville for the NXT Title is next. Tyson Kidd comes out to watch the match and causes a DQ when he interferes. Breeze confronts Tyson and they start brawling. Sami Zayn runs out and everyone fights now. This turns into Kidd and Breeze vs. Sami and Neville. Sami and Neville get the win to end the show. His debut was bumped in favor of Adam Rose. nobody has any idea what is going on with him. Unless they're pulling an Ambrose and keeping him off NXT TV and debuting him straight away on the main roster, I have no idea what they are doing with him. They either signed him with no intentions of using him or he did something wrong and is in the dog house. Nobody really knows but its frustrating all of his fans, myself included. |

I thought Bull was a heel. Either way, his teaming with Mojo is odd.
I'm sad the Mechanic weren't actually in the tournament.
I wonder why they only did three week. I would say that maybe the next live show is on the 14th, but that would have likely been announced. Also, I don't see it happening before the tournament is done. I'm expecting Cass and Enzo to win, then take the titles.
Still disappointed that neither Crowe or Randall have debuted, though there was at least an excuse for the latter.
I'm surprised Breeze didn't wait for the live show for his shot, though since that match turned into a tag, I imagine he'll gt another. Or maybe the main event of the live show will be a four way.
Not thrilled with Eva Marie working NXT. I'm all for her working at the performance center and improving, but not her getting on TV. Looking forward to Charlotte vs. Lynch though.
All in all, it looks like a good set of shows, despite some misgivings.

Callihan worked ANOTHER dark match at tonights tapings.
If he doesn't debut at Takeover 2 which appears to have an awesome card BTW. I'm giving up all hope. He apparently has a new theme though. That is always a good sign.

Here's the August/September spoilers:
* Solomon Crowe defeated Buddy Murphy in a dark match. Crowe had a new theme song.
8/21/2014 Episode:
* Becky Lynch is out first. Becky had new ring gear but lost to NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte with the Bow Down.
* The Vaudevillians Simon Gotch & Aiden English defeated Big Cass and Enzo Amore to advance to the NXT Tag Team Tournament finals.
* Natalya defeated Carmella. This was Carmella’s TV debut.
* Mojo Rawley defeated Steve Cutler in a boring match. Mojo cut a promo on Bull Dempsey after the match.
* Sami Zayn and Adam Rose vs. Kalisto and Sin Cara in another tournament semi-final match is next. This was described as a great match with lots of spots. Cara and Kalisto win to advance to the finals.
* Triple H comes out for an off-camera segment and announces the next live special will be on September 11th. All titles will be on the line and the new NXT General Manager will be revealed.
* Tyson Kidd defeated Tyler Breeze by count out and mocked him after the match.
8/28/2014 Episode:
* They do a dark segment with a Totino’s Bold contest winner coming out to Hurricane’s old theme song. He gets to dance around the ring with pizza roll mascots.
* The Ascension squash two local wrestlers.
* William Regal comes out and is the new NXT General Manager He announces a Fatal 4 Way with Zayn vs. Kidd vs. Breeze vs. Neville for the NXT Title on September 11th at Takeover 2.
* Bayley defeated Sasha Banks. Sasha had a new theme song. Renee Young interviewed Bayley after the match and it will be her vs. Charlotte for the NXT Women’s Title at Takeover 2.
* Bull Dempsey defeated Angelo Dawkins.
* Tyson Kidd and Tyler Breeze defeated Adrian Neville and Sami Zayn when Zayn accidentally kicked Neville.
9/4/2014 Episode:
* Charlotte defeated Alexa Bliss. It was said that Bliss is improving in the ring. Bayley came out and did a promo with Charlotte to hype their title match.
* Tyler Breeze defeated Tye Dillinger.
* Tyson Kidd defeated Adam Rose with a Sharpshooter.
* Sami Zayn defeated Marcus Louis by submission.
* Adrian Neville defeated CJ Parker.
* Sin Cara and Kalisto defeated The Vaudevillians in a tournament final to become the new #1 contenders. They will face The Ascension at Takeover 2. This was the main event.

we can only hope that Devitt makes his debut at Takeover II He and KENTA are both in Florida already. I can only assume one or both will at LEAST make an appearance. How crazy is it to think we'll (hopefully) get the very first ever KENTA/Devitt match in a WWE ring. Seriously they need to debut Sami. Otherwise he's going to get lost in the shuffle when KENTA, Devitt, Steen and Mack debut. Which is bullshit, Sami is a world class talent. They must be trying to get him in better shape. No other reason to give a guy a gimmick for 6 months and then not put him one TV. |

I agree that Kenta (how WWE is spelling it) and Devitt should at least appear at the PPV.

Crowe/Callihan worked well against Buddy, Crowe's theme was also pretty cool too. I went to NXT last night and it was great. The Totino’s Bold contest winner (AKA Mama's boy) was pretty weird, but I found it amusing at the same time.
