Lots of interesting stories between now and next season.
- Status of LeBron, Wade, and Bosh in Miami - Melo's free agency - Spurs' status especially for the Big 3, you know a rebuild is coming soon - A really deep draft class - New coaches in Steve Kerr and Derek Fisher - Will Derrick Rose be back to his old self?
The conferences are certainly going to get quite a shake up come next season.

Here's hoping the C's don't draft Gordon. I really like Smart and hope we get him. I'm not sold on Love/Rondo so let's hope we don't sell the future for him.
I love Knick fans saying Melos not leaving, I can't wait to mock them all season long

Also go hawks. Let's have a good draft. Here's hoping Lebron leaves.

I figured Melo to the Bulls makes the most sense for him personally, but will D Rose come back as good as ever? Hard to say.

My question is if Lebron leaves, where does he go. Cause I honestly don't think him and the cavs would be a good choice.

So apparently Celtics want to move up for Embiid. I can dig that. We will let him rest up and be healthy

Hmm there's a trade rumor going around that sends Love & Martin to the Warriors and Thompson & Lee to the Wolves. If that happens, RIP Splash Brothers But I wonder how the Warriors would fare with this lineup and Steve Kerr as their coach: PG - Stephen Curry SG - Kevin Martin SF - Andre Iguodala PF - Kevin Love C - Andrew Bogut

If Lebron goes anywhere he goes to the Clippers. They are really the only fundamentally strong team that's almost identical to last season. This draft-class is looking alright, hope the Magic get Embiid, simply so they can have a great center again. Don't think we'll ever see the same Derrick Rose anymore it's been a good two+ years since he's been in great playing condition, even though he's healed up right now, he's really injury prone.
I feel bad for any team that signs Carmelo, the guy is an absolute team-killer.

Rumors have Rockets going after LeBron. That's a strong lineup and immediately makes the Rockets the team to beat.

I have a feeling Portland is going to attempt to trade either Wes Matthews or Nic Batum. Their options are pretty limited in terms of acquiring better talent. Don't have picks and don't have a ton of cap space to toy with. That leaves small time MLE deals and and trades. Trading Wes makes the most sense. He had a career year, I can't imagine his value being higher, but I'm not sure what they can get for him that would help the team more than what he has, but those are the available options. Get what you can with what you have.

How can Lebron go to the Clippers or the Rockets when both teams have no cap space or trade assets? In Miami, he has a good chance of being in the NBA Finals every year in a weak Eastern Conference. He may not even get that far playing in the West.

Come on now.

He may not even get that far playing in the West. Clippers could afford to sign LeBron to a max or near-max contract if they could find takers for DeAndre Jordan (easy, 20+ teams could use a C upgrade), Jamal Crawford (also pretty easy), and Jared Dudley (which will be tougher, but they can package him with young guys or draft picks). Houston can trade Asik and Lin (both relatively easy to move if they throw in picks) and have the space for a near-max contract. Come on now. Miami is going to be loaded with cap space if/when LBJ, Wade (LOL) and Bosh opt out. They only guaranteed contracts they have for next season are Haslem (player option, and he has sacrificed money for the good of the team in the past) and Norris Cole, who's on a late-first round rookie contract. They can easily fit all three of them under the cap. After that though, they won't have much cap space left.
