I deal with rude ignorant ed up customers on a daily basis. I get into a war of words with at least one old person per shift. It usually never gets to me for an extended period of time but this one time About two weeks back Some old guy who was obviously drunk as a skunk starts BS with me sayig I need training and I'm an idiot etc etc. So I started to back off before I went ape$hit and the guy has the nerve to say by doing that I was accusing him of being intoxicated and that he was going to get me fired. I explained I have ppl in my family suffering from alchohism and he said "no one gives a aboht you or your family " I told him to have a good day and he called me a walking condradiction. I had to leave my register for a few mins as I was shaken up after that. So about three days later guess who I see walking out of the liquor store. Yup. The old bastard. He didn't seem to recognize me as he came out he said to me "what's up buddy" I immediately got up in his face and asked him if he had anything to say to me or my family now. He tried putting his bike in between us so I took it and tossed it across the parking lot. I was getting ready to lay this dude on his ass when I noticed the store owners rushing outside to break us up. He kept telling me "you've got the wrong guy" but I knew it was him he was just too drunk to remember me. Anyway in the end I made the bunghole piss his pants. He did end up coming back to my store the other day and I think he recognized me this time because he didn't say ONE WORD he tucked his tail and left. Moral of the story don't with your cashier I bet the drunk guy felt... Shellshocked.

Too many to share. I've been working at a pizzeria for over 20 years. We're an old-school pizzeria with no fax machine, no web site, and no Wi-Fi. Here are some stories. A guy calls up & asks if we deliver. I tell him we do. He then says he wants me to get the order he just placed at the Chinese restaurant next door & bring it to him. I just hung up on him. A kid calls & orders 2 large pizzas for a delivery. I deliver them. He takes the pizzas inside & says he'll be right back with the money. He comes back 5 minutes later & gives me the pizzas back & says, "Sorry. I can't find my wallet. You'll have to take them back." So I take them back to the shop & when I open the boxes, he had replaced the pizzas with newspapers. I went back to the address & the kids were nowhere in sight. Little bastards. A woman calls for a pizza with artichoke & red onion. I tell her we don't carry those toppings. She tells me, "Well, go to Shop Rite (a local supermarket) & get them." Bitch. A guy places an order for a delivery. He asks if we can stop at the bar first & bring his buddy over. I did, and the bastard didn't tip me. (Not a horror story, but one I like). I did a delivery last year to the elementary school. A little special needs girl comes up to me & says "Hi. I'm Mikayla. I'm 5. I go to this school. I like it here" I replied, "Hi. I'm the pizza man. I'm 43. I don't like my job. This is why you should say in school." Her mother smiled at me & started laughing. You always have some pretty great stories and I always look forward to reading them. Loved that one at the end.

Hear is a customer service horror story.
One time I ordered a pizza. An hour passes and I get a call, it's the delivery driver. The driver tells me hes is outside. I look out my window and say, Oh cool I see you I'll meet you at the door. I go to my front door and wait. The guy never gets out of his car. He calls me back and tells me, Im outside with your pizza. I tell him, yes I see you come to the door. The driver hangs up and I wait another cpl of mins or so. Again the guy calls me to tell me he is outside. Only this time he tells me I should go to his car. I tell him no, you come to the door and complete your delivery.
By this time I've been looking at this guy for a good 10 mins sitting in his car. Then I get another call, it's the pizza place. They ask if I want the pizza, I say yes im waiting on your driver to come bring it to me. The pizza place hangs up. A few mins later the pizza place calls me back to tell me the driver is telling them that im refusing to pay for the pizza. I was in a state of mind where saying WTF would be an understatement. I go on to tell the pizza place that the guy has been sitting in his car this entire time and has never come to my door.
At this point the person on the phone took an attitude against me. They started speaking very loudly and angrily on the phone to me, the customer. So finally I say, forget it. I told them, that pizza has been outside for more than 15 mins now getting cold, your driver is either dumb or playing games, and I dont appreciate the attitude and tone of voice you're taking with me so I hang up. Then the Pizza place calls me back just to tell me I can't order from them anymore.
Q. The lesson learned?
A. If you're in Chicago, near Fullerton Ave, and there is a pizza place with the word Luna's in it's name DO NOT eat there.

I once had the lady at the hospital front desk call me a liar and tell me i did not need surgery for a hole in my leg. She then told me i was wasting her time and i needed to leave. I ended up going to another hospital and having the surgery. Good thing because the hole in my leg got infected and if i would have waited any longer the infection would have possibly killed me.

TIL Saint Willow has a nasty temper. I mean, how else...? What? Honestly, the only one who bring that out is my brother. We've had a topic over that. xD Never knew you have a nasty temper mate, that's all - no big deal. I remember the thread about your brother, but didn't think he brought out a temper on par with this...either way, all good mate, sorry for any confusion.

I've been working for Asda(Supermarket in the UK owned by Wal*Mart, but we're not useless) for 6 weeks now, not had many bad customers. Had this one rude old bitch though. I wanted to punch her in the ing throat. She was buying an xbox game and a headset(I work at the Music, Video and Games department), so I was saying how the game was fun to play and the headset was a good choice(both lies but need to make small talk). Anyway her phone rings and she answers it and starts having a full blown conversation whilst I'm in the middle of serving her. Ignorant bitch. Then when I told her the total cost she threw, yes literally threw, her card at me. I was like, what? What am I supposed to do with it? She has to put her pin in to pay. So I put her card in the chip and pin machine and asked her to put her pin in. She looked at me as if "what the do you mean I have to!?" Anyway she did and she walked off, but she came back up and was wanting to know if we have a DVD in stock, I knew fine well we did but I told her that we had none. Ignorant bitch can off. Other than that I have loved working with the public! Even got 100% on my Happy To Help(basically a mystery customer comes in and evaluates their service, and 100% is obviously the best you can do)!

Yeah, some of these stories didn't happen.
I racked up something in the market of ten cumulative years working front line retail before finally making the moves to leave that bad b*tch behind for good. Reminiscing isn't exactly good for the ol' blood pressure.

I had to follow this black guy around my department store one time to make sure he didn't steal anything.. He eventually came up to me and had the nerve to ask what my problem was. I told him that I was just doing my job.. He continued to berate me with rude comments about how he should "be able to shop in peace", and that this was "discrimination"..
I told him that it wasn't discrimination, it was profiling.
He called me a bunch of swear words and stormed off..
SOME PEOPLE!

I used to be a blackjack dealer at a casino. Always accused of stealing people's money blah blah. Could never talk back to these people. Had some jerk call a Chinese dealer every name in the book. When it was his break time he yelled at the guy NO F you. As he's being pulled into the office he says he say f you many times, I only say it one time. Haha dude was hilarious. Also people would say how do you sleep at night ? I worked the graveyard shift so I told them I sleep on my side during the day. I worked fast food during high school and dealt with many obnoxious people

Reminiscing isn't exactly good for the ol' blood pressure. Eh, maybe not, but I wouldn't call anyone a liar. Anyone who has worked retail knows it's a jungle full of stupid animals. Rude customers are commonplace. It's those special moments when a customer threatens to kill you that are really memorable.

Now we are all waiting patiently for some humdingers from you... Okay. I'll share my most memorable one. The company I work for is an outsourcing company. We do customer service for other companies products. Anywhere from AT&T, Comcast, Direct TV and Linden Lab (the creators of Second Life and blocksworld) I now work for the Linden Lab client and I sincerely love my job. However, there was a time that if I hadn't been able to switch I'd of left the company. That's when I worked with AT&T. The "bigwigs" with that group are a bunch of bungholes (but that's another story in and of it's self) So, one day I'm taking calls and I get this lady with issues with her bill. Pretty standard stuff but nine times out of ten, the charges the customer are disputing are valid. Such as was the case for her. Now let me preface this with saying that we had a very strict no hang up policy. That means that no matter what was going on, we were prohibited from disconnecting the call with the customer. In this particular instance, as soon as I answered the phone the lady started going off on me about how I better listen to her and I better not hang up etc etc. I'm talking from the jump off before she'd ever told me the issue. So while she's ranting I'm looking at her account notes. To make a long story short, she started screaming at the top of her lungs about how what we were doing was just like raping her. I wouldn't have thought much of that even if at one point she hadn't just started going "Rape! Rape! You're raping me!" as loud as she could into my ear. It was THE MOST awkward moment I have ever experienced in my life and keep in mind, I couldn't hang up. I had two managers standing near me and we were just all so throw off our game but I managed to keep my composure and get her off of the phone but it was NOT easy and I was rattled afterward. I had to step away from my computer. I can't really explain it but the situation wasn't funny at the time. You might think someone talking about that being so ridiculous about it would be something to crack up laughing about after the call, but it just left me speechless.
