Thought the game was phenomenal. I thought the Pats could have really stepped on the Seahawks in the first half and they made those mistakes and then broke down defensively going into the half. The Seahawks went through a period where their D-line was just dominating the Pats O-line. Brady adjusted. The second he started waiting for the rush, stepping up into the top of the pocket and using the middle of the field by popping those crossing routes, he turned the game around imo.
The end of the game was almost comical. This ridiculous circus catch to give the Seahawks the go-ahead, Belichick not calling time out to stop the clock because he didn't seem like he knew what to do, and then the decision to throw. You can't write that sh*t it was so bizarre.
I think too much blame is being put on Pete Carroll, but I liked that he took responsibility for it. Yes, I 1000% agree you go to Beast Mode 4 times in a row in that spot, but I understand trying to catch them off guard with the quick slant route. Russell Wilson should be shouldering his portion of the blame and he's not taking any of it, as far as I can tell. He didn't look off anyone and that was a route that Butler obviously recognized right away. Also, he's the man with the ball, and he could have checked down into a run at any point prior to that snap. I do agree though, you have the best running back in football, that the Pats really couldn't stop, you make the easy call. If Wilson throws a touchdown in that spot though, nobody says a damn word.
As a side note, thought the half time show was great. Katy Perry did Katy Perry and I thought it was really entertaining. They went all out with the presentation and the digital stage and her flying around. Lenny and Missy were both very meh, to me. Felt like 2001 haha. The idea of Katy Perry wearing a baggy jersey and leaving the rest to the imagination was fine with me though. I was hoping for Snoop.

I thought Wilson was taking the blame saying he feels like he's the one who lost it. But I'm not 100% sure. Honestly, I don't believe that Carroll made that exact call. Sure, he may have told them to pass it but I don't think they called the slant play. If you're gonna pass on the 1 yard line, you throw a fade in the back of the endzone where it's 1 on 1, not a slant in the middle of the defense. He's gotta be covering for Bevell. Carroll really has nothing to lose, no way in hell the Hawks fire him but Bevell is not getting a HC job in a long time. The explanation they gave made no sense at all. They wanted to chew more clock they said... But the pass play they called was either going to be a completion for a TD or incomplete. How is that taking time off the clock? If you're gonna take time off, RUN THE BALL. There's obviously something behind the scenes that we don't know. I just believe that Carroll is covering for Bevell's sorry ass.

I'm sure the OC called the play, but ultimately whether or not that was the final call is up to Carroll. He's shouldering the blame, which is the right thing to do. I hate the guy, but it is. His explanations are kind of dumb, but it doesn't matter. They made a bad call, and it backfired. It's that simple. There's no conspiracy or anything. It happens in sports a lot. Mike Smith did that on the reg.

Still can't believe they screwed that up so bad. This will go up there with Red Sox selling Babe Ruth, Chris Webber's attempted time out, and Bill Buckner's missed ground ball.
I still have no idea how anyone outside of New England or Ann Arbor can root for the Patriots over the Seahawks. What have the Seahawks done to garner hate? They're the underdogs and everyone who roots for a team without a SB win should be rooting for them. Giving hope to the hopeless.
Just like Empire Strikes Back, Rocky, Bad News Bears, and Jesus Christ being crucified, the bad guys won.
If there's a lone bright spot to this travesty of a situation, it's that Julian Edelman is a Kent State alum and he has cool hair. And that the Pats were the team with any Buckeyes on their roster. The rest of the team can suck a wicked ahhsum cahhhk.

Adderall lol Seattle won a Super Bowl last year. Why would people who root for teams without a Super Bowl win root for them? I hate the Patriots. But against the Seahawks, I'll root for history to be made, and the chance to see greatness repeat itself.

This post goes out it all the people talking about how "great" and "elite" Tom Brady is He cheated to "win" four Superbowls, lost both times he got there without cheating. The winning plays of those four Superbowls were three field goals and an interception, all having nothing to do with Brady So tell me again how "great" and "elite" Tom Brady is LOL This is me with your tears right now. That doesn't answer the question I asked

LOL This is me with your tears right now. That doesn't answer the question I asked There was no question. Just you continually being a troll and bashing the Patriots. Why would I get into an argument over someone who has constantly trashed the Patriots? No need for that, I will enjoy watching my 4th Super Bowl winning team and posting funny gifs Keep hating hater

LOL This is me with your tears right now. That doesn't answer the question I asked I don't think anyone took you seriously because it was either trolling or complete nonsensical babble. But I'll bite. I hate Patriots. I'm tired of people making me defend the Patriots. But Tom Brady is elite, and great. Probably THE greatest. Please provide definitive proof that Tom Brady cheated to win all four Superbowls. Please. I'd LOVE to see it, because it doesn't exist. Also I can't wait to hear how the fact that Brady didn't complete the game winning play in those 4 Super Bowls somehow makes him not a 3 time Super Bowl MVP and not a great QB. Should be good.

I'll respond to TRW because I like him and he makes sense. Tom Brady led the team to the winning TD, his drive in the 4th quarter was amazing. Tom Brady does not play defense. Tom Brady does not kick field goals. Tom Brady did everything humanly possible to win that game. And he did. Football is a team game. He did his part, defense did theirs, Adam Vinatieri did his etc. Blows my mind that anyone could discredit him because he wasnt the one playing defense or catch the INT is either trolling or 8 years old.

Clearly, the best news out of the entire weekend is that Wilson can now go back to filling his role of bearded Tubbs in the new version of Miami Vice.
Seriously though, I'm going to give some props to Robert Kraft. Obviously the investigation into the Pats is not over yet. So just to be fair, there's still a 50/50 chance they are guilty.
However, Kraft's speech during the trophy ceremony was great. And I'm not even all that much of a Patriots fan. They just happen to play against teams I don't care for often (Broncos, Bills, Jets...) However, if I was a die-hard fan of the Patriots and the last two weeks all I've heard is that "my team cheats, my QB and Head Coach and Owner are cheaters, and I'm a terrible fan because I like the Pats".
And now to have a small bit of vindication by winning the biggest game of the year, in a building where you've previously lost a Super Bowl and that was filled with mostly Seahawks fans based on the noise, setting several Post Season and Super Bowl and NFL Records as well.
Now, with all due respect, can we officially call it done?
Peyton is this era's Marino to Brady being this era's Montana.
The debate, if it's still going on somewhere, is dead.

Warren Sapp was arrested this morning for trying to illegally deflate his balls. Otherwise known as soliciting a prostitute. I hope this means he gets fired from NFL Network. He is awful.

I was gonna just say he was caught trying to have more fun than the Pats after party but since you went there, yep.

I'm not a Patriots or Seahawk fan but for the first time I was rooting for Tom Brady even as he broke Montana TD record and tying SB/MVP wins. This should tell how much I dislike the Seahawks.

Well, Spygate proved that they had been cheating for years, so they most likely cheated to win those Superbowls. Deflategate was more than likely far from an isolated incident That's twice they were caught cheating, they got caught, and it was proven. Now, I never said Brady wasn't good, that would be idiotic, however, I believe he is overhyped and overrated, that's my opinion, and I'm entitled to it. My hatred for him, and the Patriots in general, is that they are so arrogant and disrespectful, believe they are entitled to win every single game, come up with excuses when they lose, and act like they're better than everyone else. If they would be respectful, get rid of the "we're better than everyone" attitude, and just conducted themselves like decent human beings, I would respect them. However, the cheating will always leave an asterisk on their accomplishments.

However, the cheating will always leave an asterisk on their accomplishments. Everybody forgets that what they did in Spygate was completely within the rules, and done by most teams prior to a rule change not too long before the incident. They admitted they messed up and were punished appropriately. Deflategate hasn't been proven at all. If it is, which it looks like it won't be, then they will be punished appropriately again. The other stuff is all opinion, so yeah, think whatever you want. So the Patriots "cheated" 1 time. That's it. Admitted it and accepted their punishment. Somehow people turn that into the Patriots cheated to win 4 Super Bowls, and appear in two others and everything they have done is invalid. If we are going down that road, then let's apply it to all teams. Take away the Saints Superbowl for bountygate. Those Cowboys teams in the 90s were loaded with coke, hookers, and all sorts of stuff. Seahawks have guys abusing adderall and other stuff. They get an asterix too. Falcons are pumping in fake crowd noise, so even though the franchise sucks, they get their asterix as well. Romanowski was a major steroid abuser so those Broncos get Super Bowl asterix as well. Those 70's Steeler teams were chock full of steroids, so let's take those away too. Every team has skeletons in their closet. I hate the Patriots. But I wish people would use a little common sense so I don't have to defend them.

However, the cheating will always leave an asterisk on their accomplishments. Spygate was 8 years ago, Bill Cowher and Jimmy Johnson both said it wasnt a big deal, they got penalized. That was the end of it. Broncos were also fined for illegal taping too a few years after that...do you bring that up? No of course not. They havent been found guilty of anything yet on Deflategate have they? Where is the NFL sanctions or penalties other than on the internet? Again everything you said is sour grapes, you are right you are entitled your opinion but everyone else is entitled to call your opinion wrong and filled with biased hate, which it is. "I dont like Tom Brady because hes overrated" 6 Super Bowls, 4 Wins, 2 MVPs etc etc is def overrated. You know why the Patriots have an attitude of being better than everyone........because they usually are. You would never respect them because youve been whining about the Patriots for years on this site, you are always a hater towards them and hafta bring up stuff from 8 years ago to prove your bias. There is no **** on any of the Super Bowl trophies or will there be on any HOF plaques of Brady or Belichick, but good luck
