WF Pic Feds Discussion Thread

I've been thinking alot about ASW's future over the past few days. Pic Fedding is very demanding work as you all know, and after Figamania, it's clear to me that I'm not making any progress doing ASW this way. Therefore, I've decided to move to the Text Fed board, and do the fed that way.

I'd like to thank every one around here who's been helpful over the past year, but Pic Fedding just isn't for me. I'll still be around this board, as there's some great feds that I'll still be watching, like CWE, GWF and MXW.

I hope that you guys might find the time to read my shows on the Text Fed board, but if not, no worries.

Good luck in your future endeavors i hope it all works out and have fun doing it. Pic fedding has been down for quite awhile now so the board needs some quality feds but with shows being up for weeks even months at a time with no replies i can see why people get dishesryened. Pic fedding has been down for quite awhile now so the board needs some quality feds but with shows being up for weeks even months at a time with no replies i can see why people get dishesryened. Good luck and sorry to see you go have a happy new year!!!

I don't think that the people who put the shows up are helping themselves, as very few of them are replying to other shows that are on the board. It seems that there is an attitude of "I'll put my show up, then come back in a few days to see who's replied to it" and then not post again until a new show is up.

I'm honestly surprised by the amount of replies I've had. Really cool, a few more would be really great. I'm really trying to get all the shows reviewed, if I've missed anyone out let me know, quote me with a link and I'll watch it.

Yeah that's true.....but that's been a staple of almost every single pic fedder I know.

Everyone needs to have a look at themselves then and get it sorted. attitudesback has the right idea.

I suggested something similar when I was mod. It was like a union, where if you're in it, you agree to reply to each other's shows, and if you slack, then you're out for a month or whatever. There are obviously a lot of flaws with that, but it was something.

Maybe just if you reach out to the newer guys posting shows via PM and mention it? It'd also be up to us to lead by example of course and reply to theirs, but that way they could see the benefits of having lots of replies, and they would know that if they still didn't reply in future, then they'd get few comments left on their work.

Well there HAVE been plenty of shows posted, activity isn't the problem its just these are shows posted by guys who are 'NEW' or youtube fedders so not in the 'group' collective so they get no replies. Shows being posted aren't the problem. I have always tried to welcome new fedders and encourage them when I can. And you really shouldn't post shows for replies or attention just do it because you enjoy it and get a personal satisfaction from it.

I'm a big fan of text feds that have a handful of pics for each match. Hope you go that route!

I'm not sure if that's always the case as the rather well done YouTube Feds do get my respect and quite a few replies MXW for example was a new YouTube fed that gained respect and always gets a good ammouny of replies. The tube fed prime that's been posting here lately is really good to and I've been meaning to give him replies

Sometimes I get bothered that November 2 Remember got 1 reply. I try not to let it get to me, but it kinda does. At this point I've just made the realization that I want to finish what I've started this time and if I'm letting the lack of replies to my shows make me want to throw in the towel, wtf am I even here?

@brickandyozen, Hey man, I just want to apologise for my comments earlier, hope there's no bad blood between us.

And thanks everyone for your comments about the text fed, I feel like I'm letting the board down by just leaving like that, but I'm really not that good at this stuff, and it kills my back and shoulders (As I'm sure a few of you know all to well) I'm looking forward to what you guys put out in 2015, Happy New Year!

One of the main reasons I imagine people produce pic Feds is for other people to enjoy. If no one is showing that they are enjoying your work, then that will affect the pic fed owner's enjoyment of making it.

I don't think there is a 'group' as such, it's more a case of new people tend to post their show on the board and yet show no interest in contributing to any other aspect of it. It seems selfish in that aspect, in my opinion.

Well I have seen many guys do it, without calling guys out Titch and it was never a problem before with them don't understand why its being brought up now?

Personally I dont have a problem with it, and I don't agree with your view on it quite frankly. Deep Shadows is a GREAT pic fedder, I have nothing but respect for him and his stuff yet his last reply to a show was on 9/14. Before that he replied maybe twice in the past seven months to one or two shows? Yet he posted a show and guys rushed to reply. And I think he deserves every single one of the replies he gets I am going to leave one myself. Yet by your own statement isn't he being selfish and only participating when he posts a show? Fall was another guy who did the exact same thing as well as Champ and a lot of others. Never a problem with being selfish on those counts so whats changed with the new guys? So how is it not a 'group' thing. Via PMS last year when you were mod I questioned why you would give Champ the main event at Freedomania, you told me he told you he promised to participate here and leave replies for other peoples shows. A year later where is he??? So you can hopefully see my point here Titch.

And thats all fine to me I am not the one calling people selfish here while ignoring it for other people. Its just plain an unfair and onesided view to take. Every guy that's been posting a show on hre for the past three months deserves attention bad or good. Plenty of shows to view and leave replies if you arnet replyin because you don't like the show that's your choice of course, but to say its their fault because they don't leave replies is a very narrow minded and doesn't help the board.
