Scars and Stripes
Battle Royal
The match of legend is back, and it is ready to create another star. Over the years, it has been tradition for this match, this battle royal, to happen on the PPV just prior to Super Brawl to determine the challenger for the WFWF Championship at Super Brawl. Over the years, some of the biggest names have come through this match and have left an absolutely undeniable mark on the landscape of the WFWF. This is the match where legends are started, and where masters of their craft can gain a chance at even further glory. The winner of this match will challenge either Scarlett Quinn or Trace Demon at Super Brawl. So the question now becomes, what person will be able to step up and place their name in the books and be known as one of the winners of Scars and Stripes? Whose name will be etched in stone forever alongside Uppercut, Reverend Shadow, EBR and Drakz? There will be thirty participants, and one will walk out standing. Woo.
WFWF Championship
Singles Action
Scarlett Quinn (c) vs. Trace Demon
Few WFWF World Championship matches in recent memory have been as personal as this one. Trace Demon has been a friend of the McGurk family for years now, they’ve helped him through his lowest of lows and helped raise him to the highest of highs. For years Trace Demon and Wayne McGurk have had each other’s back, working together outside of the WFWF and forging a bond more like brothers than just friends. They considered each other family and that extended to Scarlett Quinn as well. When she wanted to enter the WFWF Trace trained her and brought in Penny Shannon to educate her further. He got her a chance in the WFWF and she leapt upon it, winning the WFWF World Championship in just a few short months. For most it seemed like the McGurk family were the only ones off limits from Trace Demon’s madness… for most, but not for the King of Demons himself.
In the end it was the WFWF World Championship that would sway the tide because when Trace Demon decides he wants something he doesn’t let anything get in his way. In one of the most heinous moments in Revolution’s history Trace Demon would claim he had no interest in fighting Scarlett Quinn because she was like a daughter to him… just moments before he beat Scarlett and Penny to within an inch of their lives. In the weeks that followed Trace would do everything imaginable to break Scarlett, all the while claiming that it was nothing personal. To Trace all this is about is the WFWF World Championship, he doesn’t care who holds it or what he has to do to get it, he will be champion once again and Scarlett is the only one standing in the way. The final tip of the axis was two vicious assaults – the first on Penny Shannon, an assault that put her in the hospital in critical condition, and the second on Scarlett’s own father and Trace’s so called best friend Wayne McGurk.
Trace might claim it’s not personal, but Scarlett sees things differently. The attacks on her friends and family have pushed her to breaking point, the only thing that matters to her now is putting Trace Demon down once and for all and putting a stop to his mission of becoming the WFWF World Champion once more. On a night when legends will clash and one man will achieve the ultimate goal nothing will come close to the brutality that these two will bring to Scars & Stripes because this isn’t just about winning and losing, it isn’t just about being champion. This…
This is personal.
Singles Action
Drakz vs. Phillip Schneider
Well now…when we went into the final Revolution before Scars and Stripes, we thought that most of the card was set. We had ourselves a few huge matches…but of course, never count out our ever devious Demon. Coming back from a rather long injury stint is former WFWF Champion Drakz, and of course…the man wants a fight against the best. So who would he challenge? Another guy that has been gone for quite a while, everyones favorite masochist Phillip Schneider. Will Schneider accept the challenge? Moreso, if he does will he be able to knock off Drakz? This match…people, this match needs to happen but if it does hide your kids and wives. It may be the most brutal thing you have ever seen…I just wanted to throw out that warning to you.
WFWF International Championship
Singles Action
Thunder vs. Dave Demento
The WFWF International Championship is one of the most prestigious championships in the industry. Some of the greatest names to ever come to the WFWF have held that belt. Wayne McGurk, Phillip Schneider and most recently Trace Demon, all of whom are WFWF Hall of Famers. All of whom have had that championship around their waist. So has Thunder, one of the combatants in this match. Recently spending his main time helping Shawn Malakai achieve his dream of being WFWF Champion, Thunder has decided to step out on his own one last time and try to make himself relevant and the ‘in’ thing. Dave Demento is looking for that one chance. That one break. Both men survived what was one of the most brutal tournaments the WFWF has ever seen, and it has all culminated in this. Thunder, that one last chance at glory. Demento, a taste of it.
Ladder Match
Reverend Shadow vs. Chase Landon
The Reverend is legendary. He is legendary for his in ring work, his wit…but most famously, his mindgames. A master of mind manipulation, Shadow has been able to overwhelm his opponents with his in ring skill but moreso his mental games. And his next play-thing is WFWF newcomer Chase Landon. Now Chase is a rather…interesting fellow. Not a ton is known about him as he is new to the WFWF, but one thing that we all know is the love he has for his best friend, his pet rat, Emile. Well, Reverend Shadow, apparently bored with the fact that he is unable to compete in the Scars and Stripes battle royal decided to ensure he wound up on the card, and he did it at the expense of Landon, taking his rat away from him. Now, at Scars and Stripes, Landon has the opportunity to get his friend back, but he must do so by defeating Reverend Shadow in a ladder match, with Emile hanging above the ring. Interesting.
…I promise that not all of us hope Rev gets rabies or something…
Opening Contest
WFWF National Championship
Singles Action
Joe Bishop (c) vs. Jayson Garrett
In a matchup we have actually been wanting to see for quite a while now, Joe Bishop is defending his WFWF National Championship for the first time in…well…a long time, against Jayson Garrett. Neither man was able to amass much success in the recent WFWF International Championship tournament, but Garrett in particular has been able to pick up a couple of key wins leading up to Scars and Stripes, in particular against Kevin Garcia and bigger, Shawn Malakai. So who comes out of this match with the championship? Should be good.
