If you use sculpey or oven bake clay to mod, do you bake it in the oven or leave it? Sorry if its a dumb question, i'm a noob. Also there's these pliers called spit ring pliers or snap ring pliers that are very useful when popping a torso. When you get a gap you can insert the pliers and when you squeeze them the separate.

If you use sculpey or oven bake clay to mod, do you bake it in the oven or leave it? It states on the packaging: Bake @ 130 oC for 30 mins per 1/4inch thickness. I tested some paints today: Tamiya color acrylic paint - Good and drys smooth and slightly glossy DecoArt crafters acrylic paint - This dries matt and rough is probably the best way I can describe it so would require a sealer for sure. Tamiya is definetly my preferred choice so far, I've read about Citadel paint too so that's also an option.

Hello, I am new to customising WWF hasbro figures and after a bit of advice please. I have started on a fairly easy custom, one that no doubt has been done numerous times before - I took the head from Owen Hart and put it onto the Mr. Perfect body. I have read the very helpful guide above with regards to painting, but I'm just wondering -
1. If using an undercoat, do I cover the whole figure, or just undercoat the clothing and boots and paint over the flesh and hair? 2. Can I use a mix of Tamiya paints and Games Workshop paints or is this not recommended? 3. If using Games Workshop paints, do I need to layer the paint? Their website offers Edge, Technical, Layer, Base, Dry, Shade, texture, Glaze. What is the difference? 4. What is a good paint to use as flesh colour, or am I best off buying a few and seeing what works best?
I am sorry if I am posting in the wrong place or if the subject has been covered before, or if my questions seem obvious.
thanks!

Wow! What a really great thread! I am reviving this thread if nobody objects? I will be posting some updates soon on work i have done, i hope to be customizing hasbros mostly for my own collection in the near future. I do have a Youtube & Facebook, i'd like to do interactive V-Logging with people who have Youtubes and their own wrestling channels so if you have an account we can do sub for sub (y) Links in my profile tab :-) My first custom "He's the guy that gets all the ladies..... and some of the men.. Lance Dewlock!" haha :-) Hope this is alright for my first post! " RAW

I may be just posting to myself here but maybe someone in the forum finds this helpful and interesting? I'll be using this thread to show WIP on my Hasbro * which is my very own federation of Superstars, above i posted the Executioner. He is from Series 1. Here i am working on Lance Dewlock + HangMan Dewlock still needs a little more work. You can also see the legs painted for Chaingang + Geronimo Guillotine HangMan is almost complete. If you guys have questions about customs on Hasbros please give me a shout, i know quite a lot of people who have made them and i've made 2 myself now. I will probably be able to answer your question. I will be posting completed photos of HangMan soon.

Anyone still customising Hasbros? I’m after some tips for fixing loose arms and mechanisms not working effectively. Thanks, Hey. I’ve started dabbling in customising hasbros myself. I believe one option for helping tighten loose limbs is using dental/ orthodontic rubber bands. I haven’t tried this myself yet, but have heard it mentioned somewhere. They’re pretty cheap on eBay.
