Does it really matter what colour the ropes are haha? I'd rather them go for the old look with the red ropes if we had the choice.

I'd just like ropes that aren't white for every free TV and PPV event.

I think RAW would look better with Black ropes.... but if they changed them, I would want them Red over any color. I think the White ropes on RAW take away from the presentation. Looks out of place IMO.

Raw - Red SmackDown - Blue Main Event - White PPV - Whatever the theme is. This is pretty much what I want. I miss having red and blue ropes for RAW and SD!. All the show feel the same to me now, presentation wise. Another thing I miss is having different stages for RAW and SD!, it was another thing that set them apart. I'm growing to hate the HD stage. |

I actually had to search for pictures from last week's RAW to see if the ropes were really white. I honestly never noticed when they changed the red ones.

I think Main Event/Superstars is what screws it all up. Because they want us to believe it's all shot on the same day, so the ropes have to be the same. I'd prefer Main Event to be inconsistent though, for the price of RAW and Smackdown to have their old ropes back.

I think back then, it was easier to have colored ropes that fit the PPV gimmick. As for the red/white/blue, I read a WWE Magazine interview a couple years ago that using multiple rope colors at a time decreases its sturdiness. |
