For vacation this summer I flew to New York but visited Philly and Jersey as well. The reason I came to Philadelphia was to attend the Wizard World Philly Comic Con to meet my favorite WWE Superstar, Daniel Bryan! I bought the VIP Ticket (was not cheap , but let you skip the lines) which came with a 4 Day Ticket, VIP Badge, a giant poster of him, an autograph from him, a professional photograph with him, and a guaranteed front row seat at his Q&A Panel which also included Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat! I got my Elite 19 Daniel Bryan signed with a Elmer's Brand red Paint Marker, which I highly recommend. A vendor also had a ton of WWE Figures for sale at the convention but most of the figures were at scalper prices. But he was selling an Elite 16 Heath Slater, which I have been searching forever for but it was priced at $30.00 . I talked him down to $20.00 and got myself a fantastic deal as well as a fantastic figure! Then after coming back to New York, I decided to go to Times Square and to my surprise Toys R' Us had all of E21 except HTM. But the only figure I needed left was AJ, so I left all the other figures and notified the Times Square TRU Figure Findings thread to support the WFigs community

Congratulations man! Sounds awesome. If I could have suggested one Daniel figure to get signed it would be the E19 one. Amazing figure! Got one reduced for €10 a few weeks back, one of my favourites!
Heard about the panel actually, was supposed to be really good. Daniel shared a few great stories did he?

I have to say that I was a little dissapointed with Philly Comic Con where it conerned getting any WWE figures. I was really hoping that they'd have some RSC Exclusives. Plus I was amazed that they didn't have any vendors from the toy companies themselves. I guess that is more of a Toy Fare/SDCC thing. At least I came home 9 Doctor Who figures richer than I was before going. I had the John Cena VIP tickets. I was going to get his B29 figure signed but my GF put it in my baby's diaper bag and the package got all creased and wet from them being next to the baby wipes. So I got a nice pic of him doing his signature salute pose signed. The photo I took with him came out looking like $hit. All and all. I had a great time, and will go back next year. I still couldn't get over the scalper prices on some figs though. $40 for Ryback. Luckily I scored HTM before going, so anything they had there worth of any vaule I already have.

Good deal on the Bryan figure The panel was extremely entertaining, even though some of the stories were already told (Ryback/Panera Bread). Even Ricky Steamboat's stories were great.

Thanks man, it's one of my favourite figures. It's always great to here good wrestling stories though, and the Ryback/Panera bread storie is a classic!

True, there were only about 8 venders out of the 50-ish booths that sold WWE figures. Yea usually the Wizard World comic cons don't have as much as SDCC. I was looking for RSC Exclusives there as well haha (CM Punk and Kane). Congrats on the Doctor Who figs Aww that's unfortunate that your Cena got all wet, but there were vendors that were selling him for less than retail. At least the signature came out good . My picture with Daniel come out as me looking extremely awkward so don't worry lol. Glad you had a great time, as I did as well. Unfortunately I probably can't go again next year, so hopefully I can go to SDCC, as I do live in California. Yea there were a ton of figs at scalper prices, but one guy had some basics and elites priced normally, but only the occasional "rare" figure was priced up higher, so I had a feeling I could talk him down on the Heath Slater. Got myself a good deal . If anyone is wondering whether to go to Wizard World Comic Cons, my experience at Philly was fantastic. Tons of costumes as expected, tons of merchandise, and some decent shows going on. Also, if you are wondering how Daniel Bryan is during public appearances, he is probably the nicest superstar I have ever met, so meet him ASAP!

Nice pickups. Were there any old Kenner DC figures at the Philly Comic Con?

Nice pickups. Were there any old Kenner DC figures at the Philly Comic Con? If I recall correctly, there was one big booth dedicated solely to all DC merchandise and the vendor had a big section of those old Kenner figures. I didn't stop to long at the booth so I wouldn't be able to provide you with any helpful info, sorry

I'm surprised you were able to get the wrestling figure though

Damn, I was in NY the first week of June and stopped at the Times Square TRU and I swear there were 50 Del Rios, 20 Rybacks and not one single AJ to be had.
