Sorry if this is general knowledge or has already been covered but I just started collecting a little over 2 months ago. I know they got the license in 2009 and released figures in 2010, but when does it expire?

Now, with it being a 4 year deal, is this the final year?

Ends in 2015 but with how well they've done I wouldn't be surprised if it's extended another 5 years

The only other company that would do a better job than Mattel is McFarlane.... But then they wouldn't be able to move, haha.

Mattel has done incredible with the WWE license. Some complain about them, but if you remember how bad Jakks was, you'll rethink your position.
Mattel goes beyond to make incredible WWE figures. Hell, we got Macho Man and Ricky Steamboat.

As long as they're not absolutely beyond stupid looking, I'll collect from whoever makes them. That said, I hope and seriously believe that mattel will be extended another 5 years. Even if I collect another companies figures, I can't stand mixing and matching, and I'd be disappointed at all the missed opportunities from the Mattel line.

The only company I think could do as good of a job or better than Mattel would be NECA. They really make realistic looking figures and just pay a sick amount of detail on their figures.
I think NECA could do a way better job on hair and beards for sure.

Take a look at their Rocky figures, their Predator figures of Dutch, their Rambo figures.....excellent articulation, very awesome accessories, and very realistic looking faces with great looking hair and facial hair. In fact, NECA actually uses a rubber crotch piece now to give the hips even more articulation than a WWE Elite figure.
