Do you guys think his only figure will go up in value now with his recent push and be sought after till they make an updated one? After-all, his look really didn't change, just his name...

I dont see it happening. I see many rookie basic figs on ebay for instance that go up a couple bucks but dont make them more sought out or increase in value a lot. I would not feel inclined to go and buy up a McGillicutty figure anytime soon and especially spend good money for one! lol

its already expensive...and i never see it for trade.
so its definately just going to go up.
Like Skip sheffield.....and more recently the Bellas price almost doubled when they came back.

You obviously don't follow the figure values at all considering Skip Sheffield figure went from peg warmer to up to $125 during the beginning of his push. The good thing about Curtis Axel is that his current gear is the same as his gear on the figure of him as Mcgillicutty. Of course we all know he'll probably get a ring attire change pretty soon. So to answer the question, YES MCGILLICUTTY's 2PACK WILL GO UP IN VALUE, BE IT LOOSE OR MOC. |

Like others have said, it was already a rare figure. And when you saw one, it was never cheap. I'm glad I have it. It's a solid figure.

I chased it all last summer and finally scooped up the first and only one I ever saw at retail. They did an excellent job on him. It's a great figure, and the good thing about it is that Mattel can just take that one and paint his newer trunks onto it for a quick release. (of course this is assuming his push is sustained.) |

I think anyone who wanted one got one last year when they were available, so i doubt it will be that sought after. I'm sure a few customizers will be trying to scoop extras up to make current Curtis Axle elites, or a few scalpers will try upping the prices on some. But for a basic figure I don't see it going up too much. Maybe a few bucks. I think ppl got smarter and started holding out for newer figures now that Mattel has been better at pumping them out.

It've seen the McGillicutty/Ottunga pack a couple of times ans snatched it the first time I saw them. I've checked some websites selling the 2 pack and the price is somewhat high. RSC has it for $57.99, AMazon has it for $65, ebay has it for $60 and $65.

not gonna lie...as soon as he came out, I checked ebay and found a seller who had 3 loose ones for $25 a piece and free shipping. By the time I checked out and paid, 2 of the three had been bought so I was glad I got the third and final one.
The main reason I got him was because I know he'll be all over TV in the coming months and it would drive me crazy to not have him in my display.
I also considered the fact that mattel likely won't make a new one for a year. Best case 6 or 7 months if they do a straight re-release or slight repaint of the mcgillicutty one.
